I listed my vehicle on motorway and provisionally sold to Pavillion at 1k below the valuation. Barry the vehicle inspector arrived a week later and was really thorough and was very informative on his findings. The use of an OBD reader was requested and allowed. He was a nice friendly fellow and was very courteous when he was with me.

I do feel however that the main focus from the dealership is to drive the price down when they arrive to collect. I was called by the dealership to be informed of the substantial issues with the vehicle and would take many thousands of pounds to repair and put it to the market. The OBD had picked up very serious issues! Ones that I couldn't verify.

The offer of 50% of the original sale price was rejected by me, however I eventually agreed a sale figure and the vehicle was taken. To my surprise the vehicle was listed almost immediately online at over double the sale price I agreed. Maybe it wasn't as bad as first intimated or maybe they factored in some repairs. Only the new owner will get to know.

⭐️ One star — Extremely disappointing and misleading

I would give zero stars if that were an option.

I travelled over an hour each way to view a car advertised by this dealership. On arrival, I discovered that four panels had noticeable damage/scratches, none of which had been clearly disclosed in the advert or description.

When I raised this with the person representing the dealership, I was told that the car was “priced accordingly” and that, if you zoomed in on the photographs, you could apparently “just about” see the scratches.

That is simply not good enough from a professional car sales company. If a vehicle has damage across four panels, it should be clearly photographed and explicitly mentioned in the description. Customers should not have to zoom into advert photographs and try to spot damage that the dealer has chosen not to clearly disclose.

I made it clear that had I known about the damage beforehand, I would never have made the journey. Instead, I wasted over two hours travelling there and back because the vehicle had not been accurately represented in the advert.

Saying the car is “priced accordingly” is not an acceptable response. The issue isn't simply the price — it's the lack of transparency. Potential customers deserve to know the condition of a vehicle before deciding whether it's worth travelling a significant distance to view it.

I would not deal with this company again, and based on my experience, I would advise others not to either.
