I thought about becoming a Travel Counsellor years ago, but it never quite felt like the right time. At the start of 2026, I decided to just make the call and spoke to Ashley. She was incredibly helpful from the very beginning and sent me through all the information I needed, suggesting we follow up with a Teams call.
After our call, I felt ready and confident to take the plunge. Ashley was knowledgeable and supportive. She answered all my questions honestly and made what felt like a big decision much easier.
I’m so glad I made the call, it’s been an exciting step forward!

From the very first conversation, Sue Law in the new franchise team was incredibly supportive, generous with her time, and honest. There was no hard sell, she took the time to get to know me, answer all my questions and give a genuine picture of what life is actually like as a Travel Counsellor.
Making such a big career move, I wanted to do it with the best, and TC have proven that time and again - from the initial chats, to attending a Discovery Day (which I highly recommend), through to setting up the business and the incredible training led by the amazing Kristina Seed and team. You run your own business but with the best infrastructure and support.
It’s been fantastic so far and I’m so excited for what’s next. I wouldn’t want to do this anywhere else, the TC community is something special.

So, this has been a long journey for me! From my first chat with Julia in 2022 she has always offered good advice and amazing patience, keeping in touch, but with no pressure whatsoever, until the time was right for me to join.
After much planning, chats and a lovely visit to the offices to see Julia and discuss my plans, I have been so impressed and made to feel so, so welcome by every person I interacted with.
This continued when I finally reached the training stages and was put right at ease by the lovely Dawn who looked after our small group for 2 weeks with military precision and always a happy smile.
Launch day was celebrated with all the team and I can honestly say I have never experienced a more welcoming and professional onboarding.
Thank you Julia and thank you Dawn and your team, I can't wait to see what how this journey unfolds. B

During the onboarding process, I felt listened to with my reasons for wanting to become a new franchisee, and also supported to take this slow and think it through without being rushed or pressured to go ahead. You can tell the team want to make sure it is both right for you and right for them, so if this takes time, thats only a good thing.
As part of my two week induction as a new leisure TC, I appreciated a level of honesty and also, great positive motivation during a time where you feel a little out on your feet and apprehensive of what you are about to embark upon. You feel a sense of friendship between others joining at the same time as you, which was encouraged by the training team.

My experience of joining Travel Counsellors has been fantastic. Everybody has been very supportive, friendly and helpful. From the moment I picked up the phone and spoke with Ashley, I knew Travel Counsellors was the right fit for me. I was given time and patience while I made my decision, and no question ever felt too big or too small.
From those first phone calls through to my Academy training and now 6 months later, the support and enthusiasm from everyone I have had dealings with has been second to none. Although I run my own business I truly feel part of the Travel Counsellor family

From my initial enquiries everyone I spoke to were very open and transparent. There was no “pressure selling” and all of my questions were answered honestly. Hollie was my franchise contact and she was very knowledgeable and gave me lots of information about the whole process. I was invited to a discovery day which happened to be at the annual conference. I also visited the TC HQ in Manchester before finally making my decision and one of the main reasons for choosing a Travel Counsellors franchise was that it didn’t matter who I interacted with, either at the conference or at HQ, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The support available for the TC business owners is second to none, added to the impressive backup provided by the 400ish permanent staff in Manchester makes this a superb investment.
The two week induction went smoothly and, again, Kristina gave us fantastic support throughout, ensured we understood everything and really wants us to succeed.

I recently joined Travel Counsellors and the whole experience has been fantastic from start to finish. The process of coming on board was very straightforward and it was clearly explained. Ashley was key to this and made what felt like a big step an easy decision.
The training has been incredibly informative and well structured, giving me exactly what I needed to feel prepared and supported from day one. Dawn was brilliant.
I already feel part of a professional, caring community and I am so glad I decided to take this opportunity.

I am over nine months into my TC journey now, and I can honestly say that from my very first contact with the recruitment team it has been a rewarding and incredibly supportive experience.
Julia was fantastic with her introduction, and Ashley was both warm and welcoming in every conversation we had, whether on the phone or via email. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she was always available for any questions. There was zero pressure at any point and I always felt the decision was mine to make, in my own time and when I was ready.
I would absolutely recommend attending one of their Discovery Days as well. I was able to really get a feel for the environment and, more importantly, the supportive community behind it. This day only cemented my decision to take the business onboard.
Throughout the whole induction and training process, the team were magic. Kristina led our particular intake and was an absolute legend: always helpful, encouraging and genuinely invested in our progress. Alongside her, special shoutouts go to Kerry, Dawn, Josie and Ben.
You are set up for success from the word go. Highly recommend.

I decided to join Travel Counsellors after being part of another home work travel group, so glad I did, everything is so much more professional, organised with continued support.
I went through the whole recruitment process with Ashleigh, who explained each stage and what to expect, she was also flexible & fit in calls with me as I was overseas at the time. She also answered my questions & ensured I understood the process & communicated regularly with updates.
The initial training of 2 weeks , was intense , but having Dawn as a trainer was a god send, she was always on hand to help, had never ending patience & set me on my pathway with Travel Counsellors, my bookings have increased by 150% compared to my previous host agent.

Since joining the travel counsellors community in September I have been bowled over by almost everything they do. After being put in touch with Ashley almost a year ago I took some time to really understand what TC was all about, I wanted to know the good as well as the bad. I needed a fresh start and a balanced view.
Ashley helped me through all my questions, of which there were many - she knew the answers to most of them and for those she didn't she found out and came back to me.
The two week's training with Dawn and the team was fast paced but really thorough. There's additional training available regularly so you can really hone your skills on almost anything travel related.
As part of the programme I have a mentor and Nikki Thompson, you are wonderful! She's been immensely patient and I genuinely think I'd have been stuck at times without her & her quick support. Thank-you.

After being made redundant, instead of choosing to work for another company doing the samething earning other people money and getting little thanks for it. I decided it was better to work for myself and earning my worth financially. Whilst it can be scary and stressful, its the good kind as you are in complete control of everything you do and how successful you are. Its the best decision I have made in my whole 30 yr career, I wish I had done it years ago. Ashley and the whole team at Head Office are fully supportive, so you never feel like you are on your own.

I’ve been with Travel Counsellors for seven months now. It was a big step and I was very nervous about taking the leap, especially as there are so many host agencies out there and it is hard to know which ones to trust. Without being rushed by the franchise, I took my time and I did my research then attended a mini conference in my local area. After a really positive experience, I decided to take the plunge, and I can honestly say I have never looked back.
The training is excellent and really thorough, and the mentorship programme means you have live support throughout your first year, which is so reassuring. The community is fantastic too: people are genuinely supportive and willing to help.
I also love the support system. It is clear to follow, and no matter how small or challenging the issue, I always feel I can get it resolved. They understand that you are learning and take the time to explain things properly, with regular check-ins to make sure you are on track. They also have a really good continuous training arrangement which keeps me up to date and allows me to learn and expand my skills all the time. (and its all incuded in the franchising fees as well as your tech hardware etc)
Although I am self-employed, I still feel part of something bigger, which is a really reassuring feeling. Having been self-employed for over 10 years previously, that level of support has been incredibly valuable, especially when you are sending people all around the world.
Another big plus is how much suppliers value Travel Counsellors. At events, you can really see the difference: they recognise the professionalism, credibility and strength of the brand, often giving us more time and attention than many other independents. It is clear we are highly respected in the industry, which gives me even more confidence when I am working with partners on behalf of my clients.
The technology is another huge benefit. The systems are modern, intuitive and designed to make running your travel business smoother and more professional, from quoting and booking to looking after clients throughout their journey.
I am so pleased I chose Travel Counsellors and would highly recommend them to anyone considering making the move into running their own travel business with a strong support network behind them.

A seamless process and very easy to deal with. There was no hard sell. Ashley was incredibly approachable and available. She took time to get to know me and answered all of my questions. Becoming a Travel Counsellors franchisee has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and that’s largely down to how the company supports you from day one.
