No hard sell and a really helpful and informative colleague (Lewis Short) made the whole thing really straight forwards. Thank you! Such a big relief knowing I now have excellent cover in place for my girls, should the worse happen.

James was very thorough and helpful when setting up our life insurance. He was very polite and had amazing customer service. Would highly recommend him and the company!

I initially was looking at getting some quotes for life insurance as I had just had a baby (literally a matter of days previously) and Polly popped up as an advert on my Facebook feed. I filled in their online form for a quote, but after giving my details, it said someone would be in touch.
The next day I had a call from a random number, thinking it was a midwife or health visitor as I had literally just had a baby, but it was one of Pollys agents. The guy was very polite and friendly but at no point asked if it was a convenient time to take a (45 minute) call, despite knowing I’d requested a quote due to just having my baby. He proceeded to go through all the medical questions and then did the sales technique of “I’m so glad to tell you we can cover you!” Followed by a quote which in his words would “take care of my baby if I was to die”, repeatedly throughout the call honing in on the fact I was freshly postpartum.
I then said the quote was too expensive and he said he could lower the price by a couple of pounds to half the value of the cover, followed by asking me which one I’d go with and then telling me it was all set up before giving me any chance in the conversation to think about it first.
I felt completely scammed by the call and unhappy with the pushy sales tactic of just setting it up without confirming I was happy to go ahead. I felt pressured to give my bank details after all the congratulations on now being covered.
I will be cancelling my policies now as I’ve had the first payment come out of my bank for a policy I wasn’t even happy to set up, I purely wanted a quote to compare with other providers.
Don’t fall for their falsely friendly agents tactics and don’t forget to cancel within the 14 days if you do!
