Exemplary Service

The communication from start to finish was exceptional. The chair was protected in transit and I was notified when it was collected, en-route to me and on arrival. The driver was friendly, professional & efficient. I would very happily use Porta again and would recommend them to others. Do keep up this level of customer service - it will separate you from others. Thank You.

These guys are amazeballs, they use WhatsApp well so it made it very easy to keep communications, my specific problem was tricky but they were there very quickly after I’d been let down by another company,

Clown car couriers run by weird control freaks

A chaotic delivery process, chaotic communications with the courier, and direct interference by the clueless CEO himself, who tried to charge me extra the night before the delivery.

Customer service failed to provide a reasonable refund despite being asked 30 times. Instead, they offered a miserly refund or a slightly-less miserly voucher that would force me to use their company again - something on which they were weirdly controlling and insistent. The difference between the two? £10 - the company must be failing if they need it that much!

Aww... still trying to control the narrative?
(1) I've made no comment on the 'success' of the delivery or 'damage'
(2) The communications issues were not 'temporary'
(3) A Porta voucher can only be spent through Porta, i.e. it would 'obligate' me to use your services again (That's the control freak part)
(4) No mention of your ham-fisted price gouging?
(5) Interesting that you consider a customer trying to get a refund 'harassment'; seems like you don't like the parts you can't control?

We’re sorry to hear you felt frustrated with the experience, although we do strongly disagree with several points raised in your review.

Your delivery was completed within the agreed time frame and without any reported damage. The only issue encountered was a temporary communication difficulty due to a technical problem with the courier’s phone, which was resolved and did not impact the successful completion of the job.

We also want to clarify that our team responded to a high volume of messages from you and made every effort to engage constructively throughout. As a gesture of goodwill, despite the service being completed as agreed, we offered a £20 refund on a £77 delivery, alongside an optional higher-value voucher. This was not an obligation, but an attempt to reach a fair resolution.

We appreciate that you may not agree with that outcome, but we do feel our position is more than reasonable given the service was fulfilled.

Hopefully now you've written this review our support team can avoid further harassment, 43 emails trying to force a higher refund amount is quite a lot!

Really excellent service

Really excellent service. Did PRECISELY what they had been asked to do with exact timings, impressive care, accepting an amendment with good grace and without argument, and providing the cheapest quote from five, and keeping to it!

The actual delivery was flawless

The actual delivery was flawless. The driver was friendly, helpful and respectful. My issue was with the absolute waste of time process of actually make the booking and pay for it which took an entire day as online failed on my a 100 tumes, online chat didnt help and emailing back and forth to customer services took hours. I nearly gave up but remembered that they did a good job last time too so i persevered. I really wish they sorted out their online process.

Moving house

My moving partner was changed at the last minute, which may be nervous, but Sandeep was great! He texted his arrival time and arrived promptly, before 10am and in good time for the move. He treated my stuff with care was approachable and efficient. Move was over 150 miles but all done and dusted by 4pm

What a find! Great easy to navigate website.
Fair pricing.
Collected just one chair and delivered to recipient same day, well within timeframe!
Wouldn’t hesitate to use Porta again.

This company damaged our bed/mattress…

This company damaged our bed/mattress but refused to pay compensation despite the fact I paid for insurance.

I can't reply to your message but I would like to add this after seeing your reply:
Dear Porta Delivery, what you said in your reply is not true. Furthermore, I paid the insurance on your website but now you are telling that I need to take the removal guy to court in order to recover my loss. You refused to provide the insurance details as well.

Great concept that actually works in practice!

Was a bit dubious initially but posted a job and an established, reliable delivery/courier service picked up a large chest of drawers from Devon and delivered to Pembrokeshire. All went smoothly and communication was good, both from Porta and the company. 25-30% lower price than other quotes.

I have used Shipley for years to move…

I have used Shipley for years to move individual items but they have become rather unreasonably expensive and the price from Porta was fair. I did have to chase them though and the communication wasnt as sharp as it could have been. The table we had bought arrived in good condition so nothing to complain about

Easy to use web based platform

Easy to use web based platform, fair and flexible pricing and easy to contact via chat with a quick response. Collection was inside the contracted time window and delivery was within 48 hours, which was quite impressive given the distance and the fact that Porta are a low volume, high value business. Communication was generally excellent although I want told when it would be delivered.
