Really poor experience with Powerleague.
League organisation was chaotic. On weeks without fixtures, you’re told you might have a friendly, but it isn’t confirmed until a couple of hours before kick-off. If a game appears, you’re expected to pay whether you’re available or not, and there’s no option to decline.
What’s worse is how it’s handled. I wasn’t aware I’d missed a couple of payments earlier in the season. There was no contact or attempt to resolve it, then a week after the league finished I was suddenly being chased by debt collectors for an inflated amount.
No communication, no flexibility, straight to debt collectors. Poorly run and badly handled

This review is for Powerleague at Trentham Lakes, Stoke.

We've had a block booking there for years, playing at least once a week. The pitches are much better than at our previous location and they also have a nice bar with lots of seating and large screen TVs, which we often use for a drink after the games.

The staff are all great, particularly Kirsty, Keara and Alex. We're always greeted with a smile and a chat at reception, and if ever we need anything, they're really helpful. Whether it be making sure we have enough parking spaces on match days, to clearing the pitches of snow so our games can go ahead, they're always available to help.

Basildon five a side Monday night is Awful. Turn up to matches and see teams have merged on multiple weeks teams we played has players who play for the better teams playing for them. We then asked to leave the league and was told we are not allowed to. Expecting us to pay because the league has had multiple teams leave now due to the standard and organisation. Never coming back awful.

Anthony was extremely polite and friendly when asking questions about potential outstanding balances. He answered all my questions throughly and was overall an amazing ambassador for Powerleague!

Wallahi Kira from MK branch horrible and showed a lot of attitude and started shouting at me for coming from the wrong exit and JOE refused to get my mates ball. Do something about her KIRA is a horrible lady and God will get her back because he is fair. Wallahi Kira is horrible from Mk please get rid of her

I booked a 10th Birthday party for my son in the Romford’s a Powerleague.
I expected more for the money i paid, there were teenagers looking after the party . Jay was the one taking the kids to the Astro turf .
I had to ask can you fill up the drinks jug , the pizzas were not put out on each table parents of the kids had to help out as i was on my own it was embarrassing.
I also had to ask them to cut the cake because they could not remember.
It was very very disorganised and messy no help at all . The teenagers even kept laughing when i asked for more water saying ‘I thought it was for you’ .
I am very upset with it all because i did not enjoy my sons birthday as i had to run around making sure everything was put in place which I should not have to do seen as i paid for the party to be handled by powerleague hence the reason i had the party otherwise i would of had it at the park.
I do not recommend a children’s party at all.

this is a brand-new power league in Romford, I must say I was very shocked at what we came across the turf is awful not level when the ball bounces the ball does not bounce straight back up. It bounces at an angle. Also it feels like the turf they’ve used isn’t sufficient for the paddle balls as there is no quality if you are serious about paddle do not play here rocket paddle is down the road so much better and you don’t have to pay £8.50 for balls they give them for free at paddle rocket

The company made an error which meant our match was scheduled with less than two days notice. We could not make this fixture, they then proceeded to try to charge us for the fixture as well as the opponents' fees, which was a total of over eighty pounds. It was only when we escalated the matter with our bank and the financial conduct authority did they back down. Overall a very negative experience, due to lack of professionalism, competence and customer care. I would not recommend their 5 a side leagues to anyone.

Dreadful company, tried charging us for 2 games when we played one. Threatened for 3rd party agency’s. When we cancelled the game at 4, the game was at 9:20 they charged us double fee which meant £82. Went from a fun game of 6 a side to half a legal battle. They talk to you like your stupid just money grabbing thief’s.

My son wanted to do a football party for his 14th birthday and I booked Powerleague in Romford at the end of June. The party from start to finish was superbly handled by coach Jay. He gave his all to make sure my son and his friends had a full 90 minutes of football including drills, games, and competitions. I was impressed with his attention to detail handing out the extras like smoothies, medals, the cake, football cards and always on hand to answer any questions. An absolutely brilliant host and coach.

We were new to this powerleague in Huddersfield. We had one game and will never return. Ref was giving bad blatant decisions obviously We disagreed and played on as you do. But the alcohol soaked ref started getting very abusive for no reason threatening our players etc eventually we had no choice but to leave. The other referee with no on pitch one even said to one of our players go home and beat your wife up like each night. Totally unprofessional I will be setting up an investigation into powerleague huddersfield.

Fantastic Support for a Teen-Organised Football Tournament

My teenage son recently organised his own football tournament for a group of friends, and the support he received was brilliant. A huge thank you to Zac, who offered encouragement and practical help throughout the planning — it really meant a lot to have someone backing a young person’s initiative.

Special thanks also to George, who was a brilliant referee on the day. He kept the matches fair and fun, and helped everything run smoothly from start to finish.

The experience was a real confidence boost and something the boys will remember for a long time. Highly recommend!

My son had an amazing time for his 7th birthday today. He absolutely loved it at power league. Coach Jay was amazing, patient and very professional. Thank you for giving my son an amazing experience.

Avoid this company at all costs. This is honestly the worst run company I have ever dealt with. No rules or policies sent out for you when you join and sent a friend of mine debt collection letters and threatened court action for a fee that had already been paid. No apology just told this was a “mix up”.

Really is not worth your time or money.

Absolutely the worst company that has yet run the league i used to play in. Played there for about 6 to 7 years. Since these took over we have given up because it's so so badly run. Avoid if thinking of joining and join with a different company and leagues

We have today had our son’s 6th birthday party at power league Birmingham. Wow wow wow. All the staff took care of everything and went above and beyond. Massive shout out to coach Kimoi, his energy was on another level and he knew all of the kids names in a matter of minutes. I think we will be coming to lots more parties here!!!

Amazing party for my son’s 9th bday on bank holiday Monday, Jay was an amazing host and the kids loved him! So well organised! Recommend Romford Powerleague

Based on the fact my child did have an amazing time mainly down to the coach, she was amazing hopefully all the money goes to her because apart from that it was pretty basic I wasn't told until after the booking that the main building had been flooded and that we would be in little cabins and I also felt like the advertisement for the silver party was a little deceiving it says sweet treats ( plural ) smoothies and milkshakes. Well the boys got one chocolate bar and a chocolate milkshake no alternative flavours or smoothies. Birthday boy hates chocolate so that was a bit disappointing if I'd of known I would of 100% brought my own sweet bag/ party bags

60th party Zoya went above and beyond for it with helping out and clearing up. Recommend a party here.

My 6 year old son had the best party at powerleague romford, their coach Sam did an amazing job keeping all 16 of the kids entertained. They all said they had the best day ever! Thanks Sam
