found out from a friend started listening on a free trial now fully subsribed its more than a radion station tho its a community and it helps that some of the presenters are on the same wavelength as me music wise

This is the best rock and metal station in the world without question, no adverts, no radio edited music, great community, great events, great shows, great mix of music mostly new but a good amount of old and not the same old songs like other stations, great presenters and easy to get a shout out on the radio or even participate in a show. There is a reasonable monthly subscription fee but it is more than worth it, i have found a new love for rock and metal music, bought more music, listened to more, gone to more gigs and discovered more new bands. I could not live without this, no more rage at adverts on other stations and the same old stuff! If you are into rock and metal i thoroughly recommend this station, if you need convincing the rock is not dead like Gene Simmons suggests then i thoroughly recommend this station, if you want to be part of a community and meet like minded friendly people at gigs and festivals i thoroughly recommend this station, you will never be on your own at a gig again if you have a primordial t shirt on! Just do it, have a free trial if you are unsure

Long overdue having a media company in the UK that actually cares about what its listeners want.
So many songs are ruined by censorship, Primordial Radio plays them the way they're meant to be heard.
The interview skills of Pete Bailey, the interaction skills of Ted Rock, and the fact that lady presenters are given equal, or more airtime give Primordial radio an edge that leaves every other radio station lagging behind.
If you want music that you want, where the artists get the pay and the recognition they deserve, this is the station for you.
No news or annoying adverts is just s bonus!

Excellent idea. From newer, upcoming bands like shepherds reign and Boss Keloid through to genre stalwarts maiden, priest, and sabbath. This is your one stop shop. Metal and rock by the people, for the people. *may contain heavy metal and adult language

100% rock/metal all day every day. What’s not to love? A radio station where each presenter brings something different to the table. A radio station that promotes new and upcoming bands. You might not like every song you hear, but that’s what makes this station so unique. Diversity!! Where else can you get Slipknot followed by the Lounge Kittens followed by Harry Belafonte? Free spin Friday where the playlist is passed over to listeners. OWWB, the AGM, LRTB, the list goes on. Why pay for a radio station? Give it a listen and you’ll quickly have your answer. 2000+ subscribers can’t be wrong. Primordial Radio is more than just a radio station. It’s a family. So why pay for primordial radio?
It's honest, open, inclusive, pioneering, supports new music, small businesses, feels personal without being personalised, listens, allows its members to have a say on what happens, it makes mistakes and holds its hands up, it rewards its members with discounts and points towards free stuff, it brings people together...... Oh yeh and no adds of course!

Is it worth paying for? Absolutely!

Ad free Rock and Metal with an incredible welcoming community. Playing loads of new and exciting material as well as the old classics.
I have rediscovered the joy of hearing and discovering new and amazing bands!!

An excellent ad free uncensored rock & metal radio station with an emphasis on new music and community.
Funded through a low cost monthly subscription, allows the station much more freedom in both variety and scope of their playlist
The live DJs regularly interact with listeners and in normal times the station regularly hosts live concerts when listeners can meet and see some bands that are played on the station.
Regular interviews with artists, gaming contests, pub quizes all add to a great package.
Ultimately I find Primordial alot less isolating than just listing to a mp3 playlist generated by an algorithm

This Station has become a part of my life that I would not be without.
Full disclosure, I have been a fan since discovering the predecessor station (for most of the team at least) "Team Rock" on DAB when it first began broadcasting and when Moose, Dews & Pete started up Primordial Radio I was happy to invest my hard earned money in helping to get it off the ground. I have been a subscriber ever since.
"Why pay for radio?" you may ask. How does rock and metal all day every day sound?
"I can get that on Spotify" you may claim. Ah, but not with a host of DJ's, each bringing their own unique charm to the station.
"Well Planet Rock has that too" is probably the argument you are going to make next. They also have a restricted playlist which mainly revolves around older, established bands on repeat. Primordial boasts at least 50% of their playlist as new and upcoming bands proving time and again that claims Rock is dead are delusional. If you are not 100% happy with the playlist, every Friday, the whole day is handed over to the listeners and you can submit requests which (usually) get played.
Did I mention the community? We are a unique collection of individuals united by our love of rock and metal and the help and support offered to each other in times of need has to be seen to be believed. Need a gig buddy? Sorted. Need some advice about life, the universe or festivals (remember them?)? We got you. Of course, we don't always agree in the Primordial Radio family (#prfam). There can be the odd disagreement but unlike the rest of the internet, discourse is usually grown up and respectful.
If you are still not convinced, who else would offer a 3 month, no strings free trial? If you don't enjoy it, simply stop listening. You will not be pestered by marketing e-mails and there is no need to cancel payments because no financial details are required for the trial. If you love rock and metal, what have you got to lose?

Quite simply the best rock and metal station out there, and far & away better than anything else the UK audience has been served over the years.

Their dedication to pushing new music rather than the "same old" you think a rock station will be just goes to show that rock is alive and kicking. It's been an amazing introduction for me to bands I'd never have otherwise discovered, and now love.

Alongside the music I have also made so many great new friends via events and meetups organised by, or through, Primordial Radio. The sense of community is something you can't put a price on.

Paying a subscription for radio might seem an alien concept to some, which I understand, but all I can suggest is give the free trial a go, you've nothing to lose. Of course it won't be perfect, and you'll find elements you are less keen on, but hopefully you'll find a lot more you love. After all it's impossible to please everyone all the time.

5 stars implies perfection, which of course nothing can achieve, but from a personal perspective I couldn't be without it now.

There's top notch merch professionally designed, great events and of course the music but there's more. Being part of the Primordial community means you're never alone. You're never short of someone to go to a gig with, the online community supports each other and in life as in the pit we pick each other up when we fall down.

Primordial is striving to deliver a community for those who enjoy rock, metal, beer and so on. Yes, you can listen to FREE radio with constant adverts - but the station is growing and is doing something different. New bands, new talents and that is why I love the station.

I love Primordial. Not only the music, but the sense of community that they build around the station. The DJs are real, accessible people who really care about the station, the listeners, the community, mental health, the environment etc. etc. and who bring a fabulous sense of silliness to the whole thing.
