Given a dangerous vehicle and left stranded with no recovery for me and 3 children

Initially I was impressed as within 24 hours of my car accident (which was non fault) I had been given a like for like courtesy care which was exactly the same make and model as my car which was perfect. I found their customer service to be fantastic on the first encounter. That’s where the positives end. My first time using the vehicle, there was a rattling sound and within a few minutes one of the tyres had completely exploded whilst I was driving 50mph with two children and a baby. This was terrifying, as soon as I could stop I attempted to contact PVM to arrange breakdown recovery and it went to voicemail and said this is only for ‘business hours’. I was not told when the vehicle was delivered that I would not have 24hr accident/breakdown support, I would not have taken the children out in evening knowing this. I was essentially stranded for 4 hours with no way of getting home until a family member could get to me, I reported the incident the next morning and was told to leave the vehicle and someone will recover on Monday morning (this happened on a Friday evening). First thing Monday morning I get a phone call with a rude representative who said only after they assess the damage will they even consider providing me with an alternative vehicle and the man actually said ‘there’s no way that tyre has shredded by itself’ essentially calling me a liar, no apology was given for the dangerous situation myself and my children were put in and I’ve been left without a vehicle. The most dissatisfying experience.

I'm asking anyone who has fallen victim…

I'm asking anyone who has fallen victim to this company and been scammed to contact me. I want to take them to court because they're trying to extort money from me. I was the victim of an accident through no fault of my own. I used this company's services, and the case was closed. After two years, the company sent me an absurd bill for £11,000, after which I was assured there would be no costs and the case was closed. They are fraudsters, and I'd like their victims to join me in a class action lawsuit.

Honestly the worst company ever don't let a accident
Managment company pass you to these guys or even use them directly the worst company they don't have a clue on what's going on they have the worst cars to give you as a "like for like" save your self the headache!

Best company ever

Would like to say my case worker was Jake and he was superb from start to finish he helped me sort my courtesy car and managed with all the problems, everyone that knows me was surprised that they manage to sort the claim straight away no playing about and if I had any worries there was always someone there to make the steps smoother, I didn’t expect the professionalism that I recieved as I have dealt with a company 10 years ago and it was completely different they had different departments sorting everything for you he just told me relax and just wait for the phone calls within 5 minutes I get a call from the hire department and same day they delivered the car and actually asked me what car they have so I can chose best company to deal with 100%

Outstanding Service

This is my third time using a courtesy car from PVM, and once again, I’ve had an excellent experience. The whole process was quick, smooth, and completely hassle-free. The team was friendly and professional, making it so easy to get back on the road. I would highly recommend PVM to anyone in need of a reliable courtesy car , they truly provide top-notch service every time.

Very poor communication

Absolutely fantastic service

Absolutely fantastic service. I was involved in a car accident the day before I was due to drive to Cornwall. Elle from the accident team had my car collected and a curtesy car sorted the same day.
So I could still get away without no worry

Progressive~1 out of 3 great customer service (Unfortunately)

I recently purchased a new car this past Dec 2024
I didn’t have a car for 3 months before. I called them when we were finishing up my cash purchase.
I told the man what I wanted ~full coverage $500 deductible etc.
I took his insurance and I drove away in my brand new 2025 Kona. Fast forward 5 months, when my policy was going to renew the next month.
I took a look at my current insurance and I was not happy! I had been driving my new car with only liability insurance. So I made a call, a woman answered, I told her I needed to change my insurance and why, and said “I’m not insurance smart, so I don’t know what does what”.
She literally said to that “well how can I help you today”? I asked if she heard what I had said~ she said “You ma’am need to tell me what you want not me explain everything to you”! I said Seriously?!? And hung up.
I could call back for a few days~and I’m so happy I waited. The young gentleman that answered the phone was so great and had me at hello! I explained both situations to him, he was very apologetic. I said not to worry~ I’m not angry with him or the company ~just some people that represent Progressive!
About a half hour later, I paid in full for the next 6 months. I got my best 1 out of 3 at least.
I gave them another chance. But I am praying nobody takes advantage of a person AT A DEALERSHIP buying a new car. When I asked for full coverage he gave me liability prices and I didn’t ask the correct questions because I was I. A rush. I’ll do the same thing when 5 months rolls around. Fingers crossed!

great people great experience

my partner had an accident and she called pvm they have provided us nice new car and dealt with our claim and settled with in 6 week i will recommend pvm especially a girl name Layla was extremely helpful all the time who kept us updated all the time

Car repair

After my daughter buying her first car with pvm everything was great good experience and very helpful. How ever when Paul said after the 3 month warranty runs out if anything goes wrong just let me know and we will come to an arrangement for repairs. 3 weeks after warranty ran out her clutch slave cylinder & master cylinder gave up the ghost, told Paul & he said yes he’d contribute towards the repair. Called him & Chris no answer Nothing. £486 we’ve had to pay the garage for repairs. I tell you people DO NOT USE PMV MOTORS!!! Disgusted with them. They say they’ll help you but when you call them nobody answers the phone! BE WARNED!!!!
