Faulty toilet
I contacted Proline Drainage and clearly explained that we had an electric toilet, asking whether they were able to work on this type of system. I was assured that they could.
When the engineer arrived, he stated that they could not work on electric toilets. He then contacted head office and said he needed to take photos and proceeded to inspect he drainage which really was not an issue.
Two months later, I received an invoice for £150.00 for a “drain inspection,” stating that the toilet was a Portuguese brand (which is incorrect as it is Japanese) and recommending that the toilet be replaced.
In the meantime, I had already arranged for a plumber to attend, who fixed the issue for £70. I am extremely disappointed to be charged for drain inspection which I did not require, incorrect information was given, and the problem was resolved elsewhere for less than half the cost.
