Very costly, very bad, 9-month-long experience.

I subscribed to the site in April.
Things didn’t go well. And Gary would always change the targets, mid-trade.
So, at the end of May, he started doing the trading for me at $395/mo.
Lost $ in June.
Sent an invoice for the coming month of July.
I told him I wasn’t interested in continuing because I’m losing $
in the trading acct PLUS paying him $395/mo.
He offered that if I pay for 2 months, he’d give me 3rd 1 free.
I wasn’t interested in giving him another $800.
So, cajoled me into paying for 1 with the promise of 1 free.
He lost in July & Aug and sent me an invoice for Sep.
I asked why on earth I would keep throwing good money after bad?
He had now lost 3 Mo in a row. Why would I want to pay him $400 more to keep doing this?
This was absolutely incomprehensible to him.
How could I not want to pay him to keep losing?
I’m not sure that Gary knew that his trades were losing money.
I’ve never met him personally. I’m not a trained psychologist.
But in my opinion, there is something very wrong with him.
He often acted and spoke irrationally.
He believes his services to be of the utmost value and that
anyone receiving them cannot possibly be paying enough for them.

I told him that if he would make back the loss and get me back to at least break even, we could talk about resuming subscription. He agreed and made $370 for Sep.
1. That still left me at -$700 on the account.
2. (The part he can’t comprehend) $370 is less than $395.
If I had paid him for the month, I would have lost money even with that trading
profit
Around October 10th, he had a winning day of nearly $400.
He went crazy. He COULDN’T STAND the fact that I was getting the benefit
of his amazing trading and not paying him a subscription fee.
For October, he wound up (drum roll) losing money!
He lost again in November.
On Dec 14th, he wrote to me and said he could give me
2 months for the price of 1 and that he’d like to send me an invoice for that.
I told him that we were still over $200 from break even.
We were still in the same place as we were 2 months earlier when he was
asking for money.

As I said, I don’t know what’s wrong with him.
He never disputed my points. He just acted like I hadn’t said anything.

We finalllllly broke even on Dec 19th.
Of course he was chomping at the bit to sign me up for subscription.

I told him that when we discussed that, we both believed that recovery
would take 1-2 months. Not half a year!
I said we could continue working together.
But that it would have to be on a percentage of profits rather than
a flat, monthly fee.
He went berserk!
Said that at $400 for 2 months, I was paying him $10 a day to sit in front of the screen all day.
I asked what about his other clients that he trades for.
Isn’t he there for them, too?
And isn’t he there to post the signals to the web site for subscribers?
And isn’t he trading his own account?

So, of course besides all the whining and general carrying on, he is an outright liar.
He kept carrying on and making me uncomfortable.
So, I had the brokerage close that account and send me back the money.

On 12/24, he started a barrage of e-mails.
Told me how I took advantage of him.
I pointed out that after 9 miserable months of dealing with him (688 e-mail exchanges in addition to phone calls, etc) I was down $1000 and he was up $1000 (that I paid him).

I reminded him that we didn’t expect it to take half a year and
that since that changed, it was reasonable for the rest to change.

I further pointed out that if I’d paid the $400 for each of the last 5 months,
I’d be down another $2,000.
What is in it for the customer?
He gets a guaranteed income while the customer takes all the risk?
Most importantly, the fact that he wasn’t willing to work on percentage of profits indicated that despite all his bluster about how great he is (multiple times in October, premised me that he’d double my account by year’s end) that he clearly didn’t really believe he could be profitable.

He kept berating me in every way (of course that takes the “pro” out of ProTrader. NOTHING professional about this guy).

But here’s the important part:
One of his comments was that I was a loser for not having a larger account.
Saying that he could have made me so much more if I’d invested more.
if you don’t make a profit, what’s the difference
the size of the account??? 10 x 0 is still 0. 100 x 0 is still 0!
And that’s the important part. Gary has no idea that the trading wasn’t profitable.

I had to block his e-mail address because he wouldn’t stop.
It is also noteworthy that he would just come back with insults
and never address the numbers.

I’ll never actually know the reason for his behavior.
He always seemed so desperate to get money.
Reminded me of the behavior of adicts.
But I did experience it for 9 months and want to help
other people avoid going through anything similar with him.
