If I could give Pure a zero, I would. Pure did not make it apparent that after you subscribe, that they start to withdraw money randomly from my account. They keep taking $13.64 from my bank card every 5 days. I have tried to cancel them without success. They just ignore me.

Charges don’t happen randomly — they follow the subscription plan you agreed to, with automatic renewal handled through the platform you used to subscribe (on the web version, Google Play or App Store). It’s not possible for us to charge outside of that.
If payments are still going through, it usually means the subscription hasn’t been cancelled on that platform.

Terrible. I got banned after 2 days with no reason. They said something went against their rules and that I “lose”. I’m permanently banned. This app sucks. Don’t waste your time.

Not enough users, stupid algorithm
Pure just doesn’t work that well. The algorithm is honestly pretty dumb - it keeps showing the same type of profiles over and over, and the matches don’t make much sense. Also all available profiles way too fast and then you’re stuck seeing repeats or nothing new. It’s not completely useless, maybe you can use it for a week or too, and that's all

InApp Payments after you have subscribed. WTF?
German here.
I'm not saying, there is something wrong with being from Russia or Ukraine, but I got a feeling that this app seems to stem from these areas since there are above average women from these regions present on the app. If they do not use Kyrillic letters to begin with, they disclose being from Ukraine after two questions.
Also: I got two matches from way to far away, I was not even in the area. One from Nice in France, where I was easily 500 km away from.
In short: there are no real matches that make sense.
But this is not the worst part: The worst part is, that this app tries to suck you out of money even AFTER you PAID for a year long subscription. Absurd!
One would think that a subscription is actually unlocking all doors, but it wants you to pay for being boosted in the search results and stuff. And then gifts? Why would your need to send gifts in order to get recognized by other profiles WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY PAYING?
Moreover, the profiles in your area seem to repeat over and over. Even after you liked a profile, it shows up again! With the like! Sure, they want you to send them gifts!
Again: Absurd!
This is a clear WARNING to use this app.

About location and matches: Pure doesn’t strictly limit profiles by distance. The feed is based on activity and compatibility, so you might see members from further away even if you’d prefer someone nearby.
On the regional mix: Pure is a global app, and who shows up depends on member activity and preferences. Anyone who fits your criteria can like or match with you — there’s no manual tweaking on our side.
Subscriptions vs extras: your subscription unlocks the core experience. Things like boosts or gifts are just optional add-ons if you feel like standing out a bit more — totally not required to match or chat.
Seeing the same profiles again: this can happen when activity is a bit limited in your area. That said, profiles you’ve already interacted with shouldn’t keep popping up in the same way — that part does sound off.

Sono maschio etero e L'UNICO modo per "sperare" di chattare con una donna (sempre che di donna effettivamente si tratti) è mettere un "like" che MAI verrà ca.ato nè considerato (non sono certo Brad Pitt nè Vin Diesel, comunque non faccio schifo e questa app non serve a nulla).
Anche io, come (purtroppo) molti altri avevo tentato la sorte dando scioccamente fiducia e buttando nel ce..o (anzi, in tasca ai creatori e gestori del sito) i miei 18 euro...

Account banned due to abusive users reports
I joined Pure and my account was permanently banned in less than 24 hours.
I’m a woman who had just started using the app. In that short time I received over 500 likes and purchased a subscription. I did not share explicit content or discuss transactions, and I made a genuine effort to respect the community guidelines.
I was informed that there were user complaints and that the decision was final, but no specific explanation was provided. My appeal was denied even after offering verification and full compliance.
What worries me most is the lack of transparency around how user reports are evaluated. On platforms where some users receive a lot of attention and inevitably have to decline invitations, it’s concerning if complaints alone can lead to permanent bans without clear context or communication.
As a paying customer who tried to use the platform respectfully, this experience felt discouraging and unfair. I hope Pure can improve transparency and moderation processes so users understand decisions and feel protected from potential misuse of reporting systems.

I wouldn’t even give one star. They banned me for no reason and they don’t even give a warning out. I wasn’t being disrespectful or rude or anything like that yet I got banned . Most apps give warnings or appeals or at least just hear the person out but not pure

Don't waste your money on this app. I paid close to $50, and in 3 weeks, I got a like from a person over 7,000 kms away and then from someone who has no common interests with me, actually the complete opposite.

Prezzo abbordabile. Di positivo gli account sono reali, non è scontato nelle dating app. Penso ci sia un grosso divario tra i sessi e questo porta le donne ad avere l'imbarazzo della scelta nei like con cui fare match e conversare gratis... gli uomini invece sperare in match è complesso e quindi costretti a spendere soldi per farsi notare nella lunga lista dei like che ricevono le donne. Diciamo bene ma non benissimo. L'app in se è fatta comunque bene con una modalità di scelta migliore rispetto alle solite dating app.

Ciao! Pure mette insieme persone con aspettative e dinamiche diverse, e questo può influenzare il modo in cui si formano i match. In alcune aree o momenti può esserci più attività da una parte che dall’altra, ed è qualcosa che cambia nel tempo.
Le funzioni extra sono opzionali e servono solo a dare più visibilità, non sono obbligatorie per usare l’app o fare match.
Fa piacere leggere che trovi l’app ben costruita e con profili reali — continuiamo a lavorare proprio per rendere l’esperienza sempre più interessante e diversa.

Purely a scam
Pure feels misleading at best. The initial “membership fee” doesn’t actually unlock meaningful functionality — it just gives you the opportunity to spend even more money. Nearly every interaction and feature sits behind additional paywalls, and that isn’t made clear upfront. You only discover how limited the membership is after you’ve already paid. It comes across less like transparency and more like bait-and-switch, which left a really bad taste.
Also, there is no "24/7 support" or perhaps they stop talking once you ask about these shady practices. So I was forced to have my bank refund my purchase.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. And note: They will reply with how it's NOT a scam, but check out their overall review score here. Don't buy it.

Sometimes, profiles with great photos get mistaken for bots. But Pure is full of real people. We don’t create fake accounts because we value our community. Plus, it’s against App Store and Google Play rules, and we always play fair.

Non ci siamo
Non ci siamo. Ho provato diverse dating app e ne conosco bene le dinamiche. Pure è purtroppo progettata forse con troppe ambizioni ma con poca sostanza. I pacchetti in abbonamento fanno parte ormai dell'offerta di qualsiasi app e devo dire che quello annuale, che ho sottoscritto, risulta anche abbordabile. Ma un'app che in mesi di interazioni non attrae nuovi iscritti e ripropone sempre gli stessi profili è abbastanza inutile. Premetto che non sono di certo un modello di bellezza ma non ho mai avuto problemi nel creare relazioni o incontri. Per cui dopo diversi mesi e neanche un match comincio a pensare che se non foraggi quel qualcosa in più, l'algoritmo ti taglia fuori.
Consigli per gli sviluppatori:
È di cattivo gusto riproporre gli stessi profili anche dopo aver avanzato un interesse che poi è scaduto (o così sembra). Dovreste riprogettare la selezione in modo che quei profili dove non si ha avuto seguito vengano fuori solo dopo quelli nuovi o non compaiano affatto.
Consigli per chi leggerà la recensione:
Se uno cerca solo sesso non serve davvero un'app esplicita. Qui probabilmente andrete a perdere del tempo e dei soldi come il sottoscritto.

Su Pure molte interazioni durano 24 ore (like, chat), ed è per questo che alcuni profili possono riapparire nel feed: vogliamo mantenere lo spazio aperto a nuove possibilità.
I match avvengono solo con interesse reciproco e non richiedono acquisti extra. Un profilo completo, orari diversi di accesso e funzioni come Devil’s Bones possono aiutare a migliorare la visibilità.

Customer Service Disrespectful
I was banned, and it's unclear why this happened. I attempted to contact customer service to get things fixed, but they kept sending me a copy-and-paste response. I asked to work with a person who was a Manager/ supervisor, but then they went radio silent. They claim to be working to create a respectable community, but their customer service has been anything but respectful, as they ignore my requests.

I was banned based on community guidelines, but I am perplexed as I have not violated them. I am just a regular guy seeking polyamorous connections. It makes me think there may be some bias against the polyamorous community. I'd constantly report fake accounts and scammers to improve the community, and being banned myself was incredibly disappointing.

Randomly banned from AI and no one will…
Randomly banned from AI and no one will look into it. I know I did nothing to break the rules and someone has either reported me or AI has picked up something innocent which triggered it. However the staff have not even attempted to tell me what the cause is or compromise by at least making the ban temporary due to the "safety of the community". I have done my research and several people seem to be having this issue where they get randomly banned and staff refuse to look into it. It's so ridiculous because I am a paying customer who was actually enjoying using the app and I made connections. Yet if someone is annoyed with me they can report me and get me banned for no reason.
It's an unfair and cruel system and I will keep shouting from the rooftops until I'm heard and change starts.

Hypocrisy and rude staff
Pure claims to be an inclusive and respectful dating app, but my experience was the opposite. I was banned after updating my bio to something similar to what many others had. Confused, I emailed support politely to ask what rule I’d broken, explaining it was only my second time using the app. Instead of a clear or courteous response, I received an incredibly rude and condescending reply.
I could’ve accepted their decision if they’d chosen not to reinstate my account, but the tone of their message was appalling — completely unprofessional and disrespectful. For a platform that preaches inclusivity and kindness, their customer service shows none.
If this is how they treat polite, paying users, I can only imagine how they handle serious issues. Pure is anything but — I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
