Extremely disappointing
Extremely disappointing - would not recommend.
We moved into The Quad at ONE Lexicon expecting the “premium”, professionally managed serviced office it was marketed as. Unfortunately, our experience has been very different.
Our business has occupied a 24 desk at The Quad since it opened and, over the past 12 months, we have repeatedly raised concerns about poor cleaning and hygiene, a drain-fly infestation, filthy external windows, broken lighting, faulty air conditioning and numerous other issues.
At times, the standards have been frankly embarrassing - we've even had customers pass comment about things such as the drain fly infestation. Cleaning has been particularly concerning: cleaners not showing up, dirty crockery being put back into cupboards, toilet cleaner and degreaser being used on desks, bins left unemptied for weeks and even witnessing the same cloth being used to clean the sink after being used to clean toilet basin.
Other issues have included individuals being given access to our private office, lifts being out of service for weeks, meeting-room lighting remaining broken for months, intermittent air-conditioning failures and advertised complimentary refreshments being withdrawn or brought out when a new viewing is taking place.
We specifically chose - and paid a premium for - a serviced office so the premises would be professionally managed while we focused on our business. Instead, our team has spent an unreasonable amount of time repeatedly chasing basic cleaning, maintenance and management issues.
We have been extremely patient but after more than a year of recurring problems and assurances, we ultimately have lost confidence in the management of the building.
We do want to recognise the on-site centre assistant, who has been incredibly supportive and consistently done her best to help. Our criticism is absolutely not directed towards her.
Most disappointing has been the lack of accountability from senior members of The Quad, incl. Nathan Carpenter - who as we've learnt the hard way - has left us with serious concerns about his honesty and integrity during his dealings with us. It is blatantly obvious the Quad are only interested in securing sales/ tenants.
Based on our experience, we would certainly not recommend The Quad (operated by NewFlex) and would strongly advise businesses considering the workspace to look beyond the marketing and the sales reps.
Moving to The Quad has been an extremely costly and time-consuming mistake for our business.
