Power Supply Danger
A colleague of mine recently purchased a ready made PC from Quantum PCs LTD · Company number: 16504416.
It had stopped working and the supplier was not responding to requests for support.
As an Information Technology professional, I offered to take look at it.
The motherboard and SSD had failed. Probably due to the Power Supply Unit which was faulty, degraded and overheating. A real potential fire starter.
I see from the Quantum PCs LTD website they do not give specific component brands or part numbers for Power Supply Units, Motherboards, RAM, SSD, Graphics Cards. So what you get is a lottery. On this example they were of questionable origin.
If you have a machine from this supplier I strongly recommend checking and replacing the Power Supply unit with one from a recognised brand.

We take any allegation relating to product safety extremely seriously. However, we have been unable to identify any support request, warranty claim or previous contact relating to the issues described in this review.
We have also never received any report from this customer, or any other customer, regarding a power supply overheating or presenting a potential fire risk. If such a serious issue had been reported to us, we would have investigated it immediately.
What we do not understand is why this matter has been raised through a public review without first contacting our support team. We can be contacted directly on 0333 050 5141 or at info@quantumpcs.co.uk, and we are more than happy to investigate any genuine warranty issue.
We also strongly dispute the suggestion that our components are of "questionable origin" or that customers receive a "lottery" of unknown parts.
For power supplies, we only use ASUS, MSI and Corsair units. We do not use unbranded or unknown power supplies.
For motherboards, we only use Gigabyte, ASUS and ASRock. We also provide RAM and SSD brand information on our website.
We have requested the order information through Trustpilot so that we can identify the system being referred to, but no order details have been provided. The reviewer has also stated that the PC belongs to a colleague rather than themselves, and we currently have no way of identifying the alleged order or investigating these claims.
If the owner of the PC genuinely purchased the system from Quantum PCs and is experiencing a fault, we ask that they contact us directly with their order number. We will investigate the matter through our normal warranty and support process.
Until we are provided with information allowing us to identify the order and examine the PC, we strongly dispute the allegations made in this review.
Outstanding PC and customer service
The customer service is outstanding. I had a query when the PC was delivered, I sent an email at 16:54 and received a response at 16:56. This helped prevent any delays in setting up the PC with my son who is autistic and also prevented any meltdowns. The gaming PC is just what we wanted and I even received another email today checking everything is ok. Would highly recommend Quantum PC's for both their high quality PC's, their customer service and their fast delivery times.

Great Choice
I didn’t get my new PC the next day, but it did arrive before 12 pm the day after. The packaging was slightly damaged but still strong enough to protect the contents. I haven’t docked any stars for that because otherwise I was very happy with the quality of the product, ease of set up and the price. I also liked the options to increase RAM and storage capacity if required, and the offer of support if I needed it.

PC broke down after 8 months
PC broke down after 8 months. All my messages and warranty claim ignored. Absolutely zero customer service.
Took the machine to a local computer shop and apparently the case had a processor in it that was nearly 10 years old!
These guys are scammers. Beware

We take genuine warranty concerns very seriously, which is why we have repeatedly asked you to provide your order number, name, email address or any other information that would allow us to locate your purchase.
Unfortunately, despite several attempts to contact you, we have received no order information and have been unable to find any record of you purchasing a PC from Quantum PCs. We have also checked for the warranty claim mentioned in your review and cannot locate any correspondence or warranty request matching these details.
We are therefore concerned that this review may have been left for the wrong company.
We would also like to clarify the claim regarding a “nearly 10-year-old processor”. We do not currently sell PCs containing processors of that age. The oldest CPU used within our current range is the AMD Ryzen 5 5500, which was released in 2022.
Every PC we sell is covered by our warranty, and we would never intentionally ignore a legitimate warranty claim. If you have purchased from Quantum PCs, please respond to our requests with your order details and we will be more than happy to investigate and assist you.
Until we receive information that allows us to verify the purchase, we unfortunately cannot identify this customer or confirm that the PC described in this review was supplied by Quantum PCs.

I’ve worked through a couple of offers on differing PC’s. I would say that for the PC to be made despatched and received was exceptional. As for the PC itself. I am a very happy customer!

Nice little system,and a decent service from the company. Only issue is my system should have come with an i7,as listed in the specs,but it came with a Xeon E3 ,,which was disappointing.
