We'll see if it's worth it.

I haven't sent the jacket away for repair yet so I will change the review as long as it comes back great.

After chatting with a few shops in Glasgow that Rabs online store says will take and do repairs I gave up as the ones I asked had no idea what I was talking about. Online the person that emailed back was good, gave a link to the repair page and a non functional link to what should have been a full zip repair, not good.
After clicking on full zip repair I was happy to find a note saying that I qualified for free delivery, which for a £30 zip repair I was happy about. Turns out that was a heap of crap and got charged the £8 return label fee, which the cost of the package being sent I'd rather just pay at the posty because whilst prices have increased, it's not £4 both ways for a light weight super foldable jacket. But there was no choice other than to pay the fee. Which of course increased the tax.

So far not a great impression. We'll see what happens with the jacket. Considering there are similar "like new" rab jackets on vinted for £65 including postage fee I'm hoping this is worth it.

Ordered a RAB ascent jacket and it…

Ordered a RAB ascent jacket and it stated that orders before midday would be delivered the next day. I made the purchase on this basis and after paying, receiving the email by 11.55am, I've sat in all day and not received the jacket. Monday, I have an appointment and needed the jacket for it. Not at all happy, won't be buying from them ever again

Wouldn't recommend the wash service

Wouldn't recommend the wash service. Some of the labelling had peeled off and the left arm felt like there was no insulated down left in it. I mentioned this to customers services, which I must add were very responsive but all they sent me was a video of how to try and 'puff it up'...isn't that their job! Hasn't worked anyway and wish I had never sent it in.

Très bon service client je recommande

Très bon service client je recommande. Commande d’une doudoune Rab sur Vinted, au bout de quelques semaines le logo sur la face avant se détache, après contact du super client, on m’informe de la possibilité de réparation gratuite du produit. Le produit a été traité sous 3 jours et renvoyé de suite.

2 coats in 2 years because the valiance…

2 coats in 2 years because the valiance isn't waterproof and the down pools. Customer service takes days to get back to you on email, and they turn their phones off during the day. Sent the coat back to get it washed and reproofed, twice, and twice it came back no better. When it takes 2+ weeks for the coat to be sent off and returned, and costs £33, and the coat costs £300 things begin to not add up. Terrible and stressful experience with awful customer service. Don’t get me wrong, the warranty is great and to replace a coat is really good. But when it takes months to arrange whats the point because all that time you don’t have a coat.

Zip replacement to new jacket!

I recently returned my jacket to Rab due to a broken zip. As the jacket was only 2 years old I enquired if it was still under warranty and they said yes! After returning the jacket under the warranty, they fixed the zip and sent it back to me. Unfortunately it failed again so they sent a courier to collect it for another repair.

To my amazement, they replaced the jacket and gave me a new one as they deemed the zip repair not possible. To receive a new jacket was a surprise and the service and support given is highly commendable.

As a loyal Rab customer, this service means I will continue to be a loyal customer!!

I have numerous items down jacket…

I have numerous items down jacket hikers pants gilets … every single one of the items within weeks the branding peels off leaving unsightly marks it’s a shame the products seem to be decent quality other wise

Fantastic service.

Fantastic service on a repair to my Lowe Alpine rucksack. Repair was completed and the item returned in 6 days. The bonus was it was free as it must have been a warranty repair even though the bag is several years old! What a great way to prolong the life of your kit!

Quality clothes, prompt customer support

Good quality clothes and perfect size match. Customer service replies just on time. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that their tracking system is not in sync with the courier, for example on Rab system will show parcel delivered when the courier has not delivered and instead emailed saying that they will deliver to a collection point.

The Best Customer Service

I hate washing these down jackets as they are so heavy when wet. I followed the instructions only to have the stitching collapse :-( I contacted RAB Service and returned it for inspection. They offered to replace it and even upgraded it when the original colour was not available.

Perfect - 5* all the way.

Outstanding customer support

Outstanding customer support. My 15 year old Lowe Alpine Appalachian backpack had torn straps which made it unusable. I contacted them and they immediately offered to replace the straps. So, if you are looking for a trusty seller of backpacks and mountaineering equipemnt, this is it!

Amazing results

Wow! Absolutely made up, I sent my 6 year old axion down jacket for the wash service, it returned today and it feels and looks like a new jacket! They even replaced both of my broken zippers.
And it was returned within the quoted time.
Much better results than I was expecting, highly recommend for all of your precious rab gear!

Wow wow wow what a service. Sent my down coat for repair after snagging the sleeve on a branch causing a small hole. Received it back today you can’t even see where the repair is. Mega happy thank you Holly for your amazing work. X

Frustrating to deal with!

I have emailed rab repair SEVERAL times asking for a quote to repair a couple of their items as they don’t seem to have a category for this on their website.
I just want to organise a repair which I’m happy to pay but feel this straight forward request is impossible!! They insist I provide proof of purchase but they aren’t in warranty and haven’t got any.
I just want to sort out a repair!! Any ideas ?

Do NOT use their cleaning service, 'Rab Wash'

This review is about Rab Wash – Rab's cleaning service.

I do NOT recommend using Rab Wash AT ALL: it took them 6+ weeks to send my down jacket back whereas it takes my local dry cleaner's (Johnson's) 1 day to do exactly the same service and for the same cost. That is FOURTY-TWO times SLOWER.

I regret sending it to them and never will again.

Their customer service is also poor: they can't respond to emails at all and knowing what's going on is very difficult unless you phone. Why so many people send their clothing back to them to wash I do not understand.
