Not only did my daughter learn to read, we’ve gained so much more! Our relationship has grown more positively when it comes to reading- the app lays it out so well for us to engage in it together!

Great reading app and easy to use. My son has making very good progress from not being to read to reading a simple book by himself in less than two months of using the app. My son loves it and is pround of himself and loves reading more than before.

We started using the Reading.com app in the early summer to help my daughter, who just turned 4, to read. It was slow going at first but as each month that went by you could see the progress in her reading as well as talking. In another couple of months she’ll be at a second grade reading level. My wife and I feel very confident now in our daughter entering school next year. She will be ahead and not behind. We love that our daughter sees the learning as fun too!

The pace has been just right for our daughter! The way the lessons are broken down and the length of the stories and comprehension questions kept her from getting too bored or frustrated. She now looks forward each day to our "reading game" time and is actually excited to be learning to read!

I was working with my children (4.5 years old) using phonics books, but was struggling to make any progress. I found this app through my research looking for a structured but fun program that my kids might respond to.

It has been amazing! We have been using reading.com for a little over two months. The lessons are broken down well, so that you can take your time building upon previously learned skills. The lessons are broken down into various tasks, so you can stop the lesson at any time and the app will let you come back to it later, remembering exactly where you stopped.

The guidance for both children and parents helps to make it a wonderful learning experience with each lesson. The games are also a great addition, as the kids truly learn while they play. They are so enjoyable that my kids ask to play the games outside of any specific lesson work. They have built confidence in their skills over time and are already reading phonics books almost entirely on their own after just two months.

This app is perfect for parents that are willing to he actively involved in helping their children learn to read.

I love how easy it is to follow. Its methods are both logical and engaging for children and each lesson is an opportunity to further improve reading skills.

My 6 year old loves this app, I only wish we knew about this sooner. She was a little behind in reading by the end of Kindergarten so we signed up for this app among utilizing other reading tools for the summer. It started her right at her reading level based on the information we provided. She greatly improved over the summer and is on track to get caught up to where she needs to be this year in 1st grade. Just 15 min a day in the app has made such a difference! Plus no ads ever. Great app for kids learning to read!

It's truly amazing to see my kid start from just knowing the letter sounds to gradually progress to able to read. I would say you still need to help him outside the app doing reviews on sight words. And my kids still reluctant to read outside of the app. But I do feel it's helping him building a firm foundation.

This app has been instrumental in my son’s early reading journey. We used it for a little over a year before finishing the final lesson. The structured style made it easier for me, as a parent, to be consistent with daily practices. Receiving the little gifts at the end of the lessons, particularly the little creatures to add to the lesson homepage, was fun, hugely rewarding, and motivating for my kiddo.

The fact that this is designed for parent and kid to work together. We get quality time, screen time is super monitored and the gamification is loved by my kid. We are together at the 90th lesson. I am wondering how he will read when he transitions to the real paper books without the hints like silent letters etc.

This program was now successfully taught two of my children to read. What you get for the value is incredible. I would highly highly recommend this to all parents!

I've used this for 2 of my kids and I been very impressed by the program. I did a similar program through a book with my first few kids and this is very similar but my kids look forward to it a bit more cuz it's a fun app on the phone. I have recommended it to some friends who have been helping their kids learn to read.

THE BEST APP I HAVE EVER DOWNLOADED!!! My son was about 3.5 when I had him start. Initially I was a little worried if it was too early for him to start but I decided why not. Each lesson is very interactive and is the perfect amount of information for a kid to learn, process, and retain. It is simple to use, and the pace is amazing. I try to limit the amount of screen time he has and when he does get screen time I try to make have it be something educational, which is why I initially installed the app. I thought it was going to be just another app of false advertising and he may learn some things here and there. To say I’m absolutely blown away and the amount he has learned in such a short time is an understatement. He now reads things like while we’re driving, shopping, or out doing something without being prompted and now just guessing based off pictures. The lessons are so require someone to be sitting with the child to help them, but each lesson takes anywhere from 5-15 minutes. I am constantly recommending it to all my friends with young kids because of how great it is. Outside of the lessons there are interactive games both on the app and available to print out as well as videos and books from the lessons. It is $80 to unlock the full use of the app but for what your child would get out of it it’s worth much more than that. My son is now 4 and will be starting kindergarten next year but he’ll be entering kindergarten with a beginner 2nd grade reading level. Again I recommend this app ten times over for any parent wanting to get a head start or use it to help their child’s reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension.

I purchased this app in September 2025 my daughter was a Kindergartner. She expressed interest in improving her reading because in school kids were being put into reading groups and she wanted to join group 2 or 3. She was currently still in group 1 working on sight words. For the next 90 days, we both dedicated Monday-Friday a time for both of us to “play” on Reading.com it was fun, interactive and it kept us engaged. As the end of each level it evaluates how “challenging” that lesson was for your child, which I love! That December my daughter was reading at 1st grade level. This app has been amazing! Best investment I’ve made! & I love to share with other moms in my daughter’s class.

I was really nervous to start teaching my oldest how to read, I just wasn’t sure where to start. So, I started the program with my 5 year old and she has gotten so much more confident with her letter recognition and can now read short sentences. My 3 year old is now moving through the lessons and can read through an entire book! As a former teacher I know that literacy is a skill that children need in every subject to be successful and I am confident that my children will continue to grow in their reading skills and enjoy school without having to struggle reading.

It’s been great! My son is excited to do his reading every day and often wants to do more than one lesson. This app turns reading into a “get to!” instead of a “have to.”

We are based in Canada and my son was going to public school so the individualized attention of the pace of reading was extremely slow and it was easy to fall into crack. Which is what happened to my son where he skipped reading parts or just barely scraped the already under developed program there. Now when we started reading.com this was replacing my screen time, love the lesson reinforcements, the sound it out then the bar, games unblocked at various lessons and the comprehension was the cherry on top. If it even was 200-250 ish for a year I wouldn’t hesitate by all the support and how the child reaches out for it rather than random videos or games. This is a jackpot!

My 4.5 year old has been struggling with simple letter recognition for last 2 years. As a last ditch effort we tried reading.com hoping she could get there and we could move on to letter sounds and then reading. I obviously was going about it wrong because I’m just 10 lessons, she is already recognizing letters, sounds, and putting together 2-3 letter words! And everyday builds on the previous day always continuing to reinforce and it has been great

This App is amazing and well worth the price. My Granddaughter is 4 years old, and after only a few months of using the app, she is starting to read on her own. The lessons are short, so she doesn't lose interest, and she absolutely loves the games, which she learns from as well. I would recommend this App to anyone starting the process of teaching their child to read.

The app is fabulous. So much better than anything else. It’s low distraction so not a 1000 things going on at the same time which doesn’t work for my ADHD boy. The fact that you do it with your kids gets them excited and having the sliders for the sounds is so useful for them to build confidence.
