Bad customer service, delays and cancelation of class with downgrade.

My family and I started traveling with RegioJet trains on business 1st class about two years ago and, unfortunately our only good experience was the first time. From the second on it’s has been extremely disappointing and stressful. Our business class has been almost always canceled and we were downgraded. RegioJet gave us a financial compensation for that. We were informed by the customer service we could request the compensation in cash at the RegioJet office at Prague Main Station, but every time this happened, they never had the sum in cash. So the way was to send an email to customer service and request the credit to be sent to my bank account. To my disappointment, the last time this happened, with a credit of 110EUR, I sent an email to request the refund to my bay account but they never replied. When I got back to them about it some months later, they credit was gone and they informed that the period for refund has passed and credit was taken without any possibility of refunding. I asked to escalate this to the management as I believed it was a mistake, since I requested the refund within the 6 months period as per they policy, only to hear back from the management with the most embarrassing excuse. The management sent a screenshot of a reply to me,( that I never received),saying that if I wanted the refund I had to contact another department. My email was sent to the exact same department who refunded me on a previous occasion. They simply took my credit and kept trying to find excuses not to refund me. They failed and couldn’t fix it. It’s a terrible customer service without taking any responsibility for their own mistake.
The last time we were on a business class (1st), the section was extremely noisy, A/C barely working and the door wouldn’t stay shut, it kept opening the entire 3h trip. The train to Prague ALWAYS delays. RegioJet, never ever again! I do not recommend anyone to travel with them.

Train left 10 mins earlier

The delay of train was much smaller than expected, no warning, not even in the app or the screens in their lounge space. I came 10 minutes earlier but train was gone. Refundable? Forget it. Customer service about this issue was not the best.

Jezdím trasu Brno-Praha pravidelně. Dřív to byl standard, teď je to ostuda. Vlak měl 40 minut zpoždění už na odjezdu (klasika).

Vagon byl přetopený, klimatizace nefungovala a "funkční" obrazovka v sedačce byla rozbitá. Wi-Fi? To je spíš vtip, nenačetl se mi ani e-mail. Když jsem chtěl vodu zdarma, stewardka se tvářila, že ji obtěžuju. RegioJet se tváří jako luxus, ale je to jen navoněná bída s mizerným servisem. Zlaté České dráhy

We were charged an extra €65 for our children because they didn’t have Polish student IDs. The RegioJet website does not clearly state that the student fare only applies to Polish students — even the train staff confirmed this is misleading. Very disappointing lack of transparency.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with…

Absolutely unacceptable experience with RegioJet.
We were forced to sit for hours in a lower deck filled with a strong smell of urine and feces. The ventilation did not work properly, and the staff ignored our request to do something about it. It was impossible to breathe normally or rest.
This reflects extremely poor service standards. We will never travel with this company again.

Fahrrad Mitnahme nicht möglich über den Anbieter RegioJet

Preislich günstig. Beim Kauf eines Tickets von Wien nach Prag wurde ich am Schalter zurück gewiesen weil ich mein Fahrrad mitnehmen will. Auf die Frage was ich nun machen soll wurde ich gebeten ein Ticket bei der ÖBB zu kaufen. Dadurch habe ich meinen Anschlusszug in Prag nicht rechtzeitig bekommen und sahs eine Nacht in Prag fest.

Schikane

Meine Partnerin und ich haben am 15.03.2026 unseren Zug um 11:58 von Budapest nach Wien Verpasst. Da dieser Tag in Ungarn ein großer Feiertag mit zahlreichen Aufmärschen in der Stadt ist, haben wir verkehrsbesingt den Zug nicht rechtzeitig erreicht. Also haben wir drei Stunden auf den nächsten Zug gewartet und sind mit den bereits gekauften Tickets eingestiegen. Als wir kontrolliert wurden, wurde uns gesagt, wir müssen neue Tickets kaufen oder bei der nächstem Station aussteigen. Ich habe die Umstände erklärt und gesagt, dass das für uns keine Option ist. Wir hatten für Tickets bezahlt (Normalpreis), da sehe ich nicht ein, dass wir neue Tickets kaufen. Sie hat die Vorgesetzte dazugeholt, die nicht nur komplett verständnislos für unsere Situation war, sie war zudem extrem unfreundlich und unhöflich, hat uns wie Dreck behandelt, uns niedergemacht, warum wir es wagen, einen Zug zu verpassen. Ein Unternehmen, wo man als ZAHLENDER Kunde wie der letzte Dreck behandelt wird, meide ich künftig. Notgedrungen haben wir uns neue Tickets gekauft, da sie mit der Polizei gedroht hat.

leider gibt es keine schlechtere…

leider gibt es keine schlechtere bewertung als einen stern. regiojet ist im wahrsten sinne des wortes eine richtige drecksbude. schon zum 2. mal wurde kurzfristig unsere ticketbuchung für den rj1034 von wien nach brünn von business class auf low cost gecancelt da es mit dem waggon technische probleme gäbe. wenn es wenigstens relaxed class gewesen wäre. wir werden unter diesen umständen den zug nicht benützen und statt dessen mit dem auto von wien nach brünn fahren....nie wieder regiojet, finger weg!

OK, but not as great as they were.

Using Regiojet buses from London to Prague nowadays, make sure you take plenty of food and drink with you. There won't be the free drinks, or refreshments for sale that there used to be, that they still advertise on the side of the bus. Also, as they needed to make up lost time, there weren't any service stops. I paid for a more comfortable seat, thinking it might help me to sleep. But it made no difference. I saw some people sleeping, but mostly they were those who had undone their seat belts. But for a night's sleep, I didn't think it was worth the risk.

very good and high standard of travel…

very good and high standard of travel exists only in Europe. Highly recommend due to customer service and great connections. These are flexible and can be also cancelled 20 minutes before departure. Very good choice for students as well as business travelers.

I used to love your services guys

I used to love your services guys. In 3-4 years it became terrible. International bus drivers don't speak any language apart from Slovak. Toilets always out of service. No coffee against as advertised...
Train on board services also became lousy, unpredictable.

Nie wieder!!!

Nie wieder!!!! Gebucht war Business Class, bekommen haben wir es nicht! Angeblich ist Wagon 5 ausgefallen und wir wurden irgendwo hingesetzt. Keine kostenlosen Getränke keine Entschädigung geschweige denn Entschuldigung. Nein danke.....
