On 13th March 2025 I was persuaded by a salesman from Renewable Maintenance UK Limited to replace my solar panels and pay £2000 deposit by bank transfer. On consideration I realised this was totally unnecessary work and on 15th of March, under the terms of their contract, I cancelled the order. They replied that they would refund the £2,000 deposit by the 1st of April. This did not happen and after several weeks I received a call from the operations manager, who offered to do two jobs that they knew I needed, fitting bird protection wire and cleaning and resurfacing the panels. They said after these were done they would refund £500 of the deposit, to which I foolishly agreed. They fitted the bird wire on 22 April but the workmen said they hadn’t been told to do the cleaning and hadn’t brought that equipment. After repeated excuses-(too hot, too wet, etc) the company cleaned and resurfaced the panels on 26 September. Now the work is completed they continued to prevaricate and have failed to repay the £500 balance of the deposit.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Check their companies house, they have been struck off as they are illegal and scamming customers.

They do not engage. Quick to take our money for a so called contract to maintain our solar panels and solar hot-water system - twice a year. Appointed 2022/23. Cleaned panels at first and supposed to have coated them due to residue from trees. Panels have NOT been coated.
Cannot contact them. Number given states when office open even though contacted during office hours. No one gets back. Wrote to address - letter returned. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!

I was contacted regarding a free health check on my solar panel system, a visit was arranged and the engineer carried out a very thorough check of my panels and system. It was found my inverter was out of warranty, which was slightly worrying incase anything went wrong with it. I was also having issues receiving my tariff payments, which the engineer also helped me to resolve. After this was all sorted I decided to have a battery storage system installed, cost was very reasonable, the installation was quick, clean and done to a high standard.

Implied they were responsible for taking over the Hanergy warranty but in reality just trying to sell an extended warranty.

Looks suspect and smells bad.

This company ignores the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) so their repeated marketing calls are at best rude, if not illegal. They called me *again* this morning after being told to remove me from their lists last time they called.

I'll be putting in complaints to the ICO about them

I was contacted by Renewable Maintenance because the company that had installed my Solar panels had gone into liquidation.
A letter of agreement was signed for a 5-yr plan stating that they would respond within 48 hrs for a call-out.
The engineer did an initial visit and then came back and advised that I needed several things done to improve the system and wanted payment immediately which I complied with.
The work that was suggested was completely unnecessary and I sent an email cancelling but it went into 'draft' and was late in being sent.
Since then I have had great difficulty calling them - the phone is rarely answered and emails seem to go adrift.
I would not recommend this company.

I took out a maintenance plan with renewable maintenance a couple of years ago to my amazement they have done everything they said they would and this month even replaced my inverter free of charge under there plan very happy with them especially after being burnt before by companies renewable maintenance are like a breath of fresh air all there staff are always polite and willing do anything they can to help £1500 well spent

Renewable Maintenance Uk have looked after my parents PV system for over a year now. During this time we’ve had to contact them of a couple of occasions when the system plays up, each time they have been out within 24 hours to look for the problem. On one occasion some of the wiring needing replacing, and this was done within 48 hours of identifying the issue and didn’t cost my parents a penny as it’s all covered under their maintenance plan. I would recommend renewable maintenance to anyone and everyone that has a solar pv system, particularly an older one that requires more attention!

Our solar panel supplier went into liquidation. We had a call from this company, offering us a free 'survey' and if that were 'satisfactory, a free take up of the warranty. A 'surveyor' called and checked out the system - put a voltmeter in a socket and pressed a few buttons on the inverter - then went in to what was the real reason for calling - to get us to sign up to a maintenance contract costing £1500. So not at all free. He was surprised at the offer of anything free. Our daughter and a friend of hers had exactly the same call. They too are not taking up the offer. Beware this company.

The company has made two illegal calls to my TPS listed number.

The caller lied and said that I had to book a mandatory safety check for my solar panels with them (panels which were installed by another company, not the calling company!)

They hung up when I said I knew they were lying.
