We used Rentfit to conduct a reference check on an applicant, which is run by Vorensys in the background. Our tenant was asked to provide information for another individual that was unknown to our tenant nor us. We raised concerns about their operation as it appears that they have mixed someone else's applicant with our applicant. Instead of letting us know an error has happened and they will rectify accordingly, their Operations Director Adam Cheshire was adamant we entered the wrong information onto their system. The concerned individual's name and email address was not even known to us nor the tenant, and we only had one applicant. I have little faith in their handling of tenants private information. Look elsewhere for a more credible service.

RentFig has become the way I run our HMOs, mostly because of how much its step-by-step wizards handle for you. The Tenancy Setup Wizard walks you through a fully compliant AST from start to finish — deposit protection, right-to-rent, the prescribed information — so nothing gets missed. When I needed to serve notice, the Section 8 wizard built the notice with the correct grounds and dates filled in, and there's even an N215 (Certificate of Service) wizard for proving it was served.

Day to day, the compliance checklist flags what's due before it becomes a problem — gas safety, EICR, EPC — and the onboarding wizard got my whole portfolio into the system without a fuss. There's also a free "Is it an HMO?" checker that's genuinely useful even if you're not a customer yet.

It's clearly built for UK landlords specifically, not adapted from some generic US tool, and that shows in every wizard. Highly recommend it to anyone managing HMOs or juggling compliance across a few properties.

There was a small learning curve getting everything set up at the start, but once it was in, it just runs. Support answered my questions quickly when I got stuck.
