Advertised as leather Mary Jane shoes, but they are synthetic, not leather. Not clear when ordering that they are coming from China, so too expensive to return. Shane as I love the style, but not worth £54.

I've just taken delivery of my first pair of Retrostep shoes, and I love them. I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis and struggle to get comfortable shoes. These wide toe box shoes with a cushioning but flat sole are perfect. Just be aware that these shoes run small. I'm normally a UK size 6. With these I'm a size 7.

Great quality shoes at unbeaten price. Super happy with my purchase. Shoes fit perfectly if you read size description correctly and check measurements.

Love my shoes from here , they are beautifully made and so comfortable. They were delivered quickly and arrived nicely packaged.

The customer service I received from Lisa was phenomenal. She talked me through everything to make sure the fit of the shoes was perfect. Lisa went above and beyond and is a real asset to Retrostep. The shoes are lovely and fit like a glove thanks to Lisa's guidance.

Ordered mary jane flat shoes. Proved to be small and narrow. To obtain refund it is necessary to return to china. Mail cost £23. This is not explained when purchasing. Response from "lisa" seems to be our fault shoes did not fit. Altogether a most unsatisfactory experience. Will NOT recommending them or ordering again.

I wasn’t sure about ordering at first since it was my first time shopping on this site, but I’m so glad I gave it a try. The shoes turned out exactly as I hoped — well-made, comfortable, and stylish. The fit is perfect, and they look even nicer in person. I’ve already received a few compliments!

I have wide feet, and it’s always hard for me to find shoes that fit well in physical stores. These wide-toe shoes were a wonderful surprise — they are roomy, soft, and super comfortable to walk in. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for well-made, stylish shoes that actually fit.

Customer service was also very responsive, which made the whole experience even better. I will definitely order again!

I bought a pair of shoes from retrostep but a few days later received two emails. One saying the item was out of stock and another saying that I,the customer, had requested a refund (I did not request a refund because I had thought the shoes were on their way). I then realised they had taken the payment (usually a company will cancel the transaction immediately). I contacted them and was sent a message saying that I had been refunded, but days later I am still out of pocket and with no shoes. They are also marketed as being local to the UK but I noticed Chinese characters in the response I was sent. Never again and I’d advise never to buy from them.

I purchased shoes from this company that were advertised as genuine leather, but on receiving them I immediately suspected otherwise. The material felt synthetic, so I requested a return. The merchant refused, claiming I had worn them, even though they were only tried on briefly indoors.
To confirm my concerns, I took the shoes to Timpson’s, who guaranteed that the shoes are not real leather, directly contradicting the company’s product description.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed. Not only was the product misrepresented, but the refusal to reimburse me despite misleading advertising shows a lack of integrity. I would advise others to be very cautious before buying from this company.

Took a while for the shoes to arrive, but when they did, they were very flimsy and would not last longer than a month. These were £55 trainers. I applied for them to be returned and was told that I would have to pay £15 to return them as the returns address is in China. The other option was to keep the shoes and get a Maximum 30-35% refund. NOWHERE on their website does it say where they are based, the returns charge, or the refund amount to keep the shoes.
