Very nasty con. Avoid this company. My complaint is the same as many others - charged a monthly fee without my knowledge. Was not offered a refund as apparently I ticked to say I understood the conditions. This company needs taking down. If you paid by PayPal then check your payment as it will be set to auto renew and you will need to cancel auto renew with PayPal

Very deceptive
Very deceptive, I was put on automatic payments on PayPal although I had no idea about it, I have not authorised it nor did I see anything indicating that when I paid $1 for one photo I would be put on that automatic monthly payment. It is absolutely unethical and a daylight robbery to scam people like that. Even if I wanted to have a dealing with this company in the future, now I never will. Totally disappointed and have started conflict resolution via PayPal as I don't believe that the company will honour my request for an urgent refund. Being an old age pensioner, this is an experience that has been really quite devastating for me.
PS I have managed to get my full refund today, 28 June, after writing to the company concerned, about their unethical methods, also by getting PayPal involved, initially they just didn't want to know and wanted me to deal straight with the vendor, fortunately the vendor had decided to honour their obligation to refund, my letter to them was pretty blunt, at which point PayPal advised me that the case is closed to my satisfaction. I think that PayPal should have better algorithms in detecting scammy automatic payments and notifying their clients about such payments well before they are activated and monies taken out, as surely PayPal must be aware of such scams and should double check with the client if automatic payment is legit.
It does help if one reacts as soon as possible and makes a lot of fuss about it, as one should. I was lucky that my problem was solved on the same day that it occurred, but really, I was the ONE who can take credit for it as PayPal wasn't much help at all.

All of their replies to other unhappy customers on here is not accurate! They never have tried to resolve my issue! A refund has NOT been given! There business is not restoring memories! Revive Memories: disappointing
Revive Memories? Disappointing. I too was unexpectedly charged for a monthly membership on the 7th day of a 7 day trial period.
I was notified after the event. The responses to my protest from 'Mary, Your Personal Memories Guide at Revive Memories' met with an explanation of the T&Cs "subscription payments are generally non-refundable once processed". I then saw these reviews and thought much the same as everone else. I then contacted Emma (support team lead ReviveMemories.co') who has responded to other reviews here but so far no reply. It seems that one has to write a negative review for that to happen so here we are. I have even sent an email to 'instant.refund' the site quoted in my payment method, again no joy. Microsoft get a bit of ribbing for their 'are you sure?' notice: it would be considered best practice for Revive Memories.

Paid the£1 trial, got my picture which was ok. and then cancelled the subscription right away. Didn't think anymore about it. 2months later I got an email from them telling me my subscription was due. Started to look into it and they had already taken £39 payment before which I had not recieved a email for. Contacted them right away, no help or explanation. And an email arrived telling me my subscription was closed. But they still took the second £39.
This seems to be a pattern of an unscrupulous company. It's a scam through and through.
Don't get caught out by them.

Their instagram add is a trap. It tugs at the heartstrings of people who lost their loved ones with a $1 sample for a preview. Like most people I didn't see the fine print where they renew your subscription after a 7-Day trial.

Subscribes without consent
I ordered one photo for $1. I thought that was the end of it.Instead, I get an email "welcoming " me to the service and informing me that the company has taken $39.90 from my PayPal account to subscribe me.
I emailed back and clearly stated that I did not want, or consent to, a subscription at any point and want a refund. Their response was telling me I did consent, therefore there will be no refund. This is NOT true!
I am a disabled senior with very limited income and would never have knowingly signed up for this. I saw nothing that would lead me to believe I would be agreeing to a subscription and I'm usually pretty good at catching trickery.
This is an unethical, deceptive company. I still want my refund.

A VERY DEVIOUS BUSINESS
A VERY DEVIOUS BUSINESS, APPROACH WITH CAUTION …. I paid a trial small amount I think it was just £1.00. I went on holiday and had a few things going on and hadn’t scrutinised my bank as well as I should then got a msg saying €39,99 had been taken from my PayPal account, I dug into this to discover this was in fact a second payment of €39.99!!!!
I wasn’t using the site and hadn’t given it a second thought since the trial.
Seemingly using PayPal once was enough to help themselves monthly without my consent !
I contacted PayPal and stopped everything. I contacted Revive asking for a full refund and all they came back with was saying they had now closed my account .
I got half the money back from PayPal.
A lesson learned a very underhand devious way to run a business I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!

Beware… I signed up believing I was…
Beware… I signed up believing I was paying $1 for a single photo, only to discover a week later I’d been charged $39.90 for a subscription I never intended to join. The subscription terms were not made clear enough during the purchase process.
To make matters worse, the image that was generated was not very good—I deleted it immediately because the quality was below par.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service. Be very careful before making what appears to be a one-off purchase.

Still Waiting
I have been waiting for a refund since the 30/05/2026. I have again emailed them at their request, below is the email I sent to Emma....so now we wait...AGAIN!!
Thank you for offering to resolve my unresolved issue with your company.
On the 29/05/2026 You took $39.90US from my account. I had PayPal intervene as I could get no response from you. The dispute I raised with PayPal came back in my favour for $27.00US (or thereabouts)
On the 31/05/2026 you went directly into my bank account and withdrew the amount of 18.41US
I have yet to see any monies refunded into my bank.
Would be grateful if you can look into this matter for me.
Just an update on my dispute with revive memories.
I received an email AGAIN but still no action. I contacted PayPal who informed me that revive memories had refunding some of my money, but only because I had accepted a part of the original money they had taken out of my account. And here's the kicker, they took the $18.00 out of my account after the initial request for a refund, to process the refund
As I've said before BUYER BEWARE!! Read all the reviews about this company and do your research.
I'm done with them and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Revive Memories has made me sad to even buy anything online anymore. I sent 1 dollar to them to" TRY IT OUT"I did not like it and it was my understanding that you joined this subscription service of 39.90 a month if you liked it I got in touch with them after 1st try It was terrible had my family Photo of years ago faces were distorted and just bad quailty I let them know right away I did not want this at all I tried it and did not like it at all.so I got 1 dollar refunded to me but the subscription was on going and had to pay the 39.90, but they will not give me the refund. This makes me very sad I told them, emailed them i did not want a subscription, but they tell me I can't get that back even though I canceled right after the terrible video they came up with ..This company is not on the up and up. I give this a 0 rating & I recommend that no one even try it you are asking for money to be taken from you.I want a refund and im sick over this. I'm a retired woman on a fixed income, and I can't afford a 40-a-month charge like that.Dont try save yourself the trouble

As I couldn't give 0 stars it has to be one. Like most of the other reviews I had the same experience but I cancelled within the 7 days but they still took £29.88 from my bank. The picture I brought to life was not that great quality. Have emailed for a refund but last reply was the terms and conditions. They are taking advantage of vulnerable grieving people . But I will be refunded or it will be taken further. Totally disgusting company robbing people with false terms and conditions
