Hi Sam, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have found the process lengthy. I would like to reassure you that, as this was the first claim we have completed on your behalf, the process generally takes longer. This is because RIFT first needed to be authorised as your agent with HMRC before any claim could be submitted. In addition, I can see that a UTR number had to be requested from HMRC before we could proceed with some of the expenses included within your claim. Should you choose to make a claim with us again for the 2026/27 tax year, the process is likely to be much quicker, as we will already be registered as your agent and your UTR number will already be held on file. I can see that you recently spoke with a member of our team, who confirmed that we are still awaiting repayment for some of your claims. A detailed email has also been sent to you outlining the current position. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Kind Regards, Sinead

Wouldn’t recommend
Rift used to be the best but it’s gone down hill the last couple of years.
It took a huge amount of time for rift to do the process, well over the 10 weeks they advertise. I waited months just to be assigned a tax specialist. I was constantly chasing them and they still took a high percentage of the money despite it being so long.
I had several phone calls asking me to refer others and pay rift a higher percentage for a faster claim, which continued even after I said I wasn’t interested.

The period in which you contacted us is our busiest time of year, as a significant number of customers choose to submit their claims then. Looking at your account history, I can see that you would usually contact us earlier than you have done in recent years. I thought they was very helpful in telling me exactly what i needed and even in telling me how to maximise my claim. Thomas Lodoiska Was always helpful and always very quick with responses if i had uploaded or sent an email with information for my claim he would always call me that day to update me on it and tell me how it was going and if i needed to send anything else. Thomas Lodoiska Was very polite and always very professional great to have him as my rift advisor and think he should get a promotion for his great work. Spot on!
