Went there and they let me test an amp I bought at an op shop had no intention of buying anything and still they were very respectful and nice and new what they were doing

Customer service and efficiency

I had to chase up what happed to my order and found one shop lost it so they had to send it from elsewhere

Was refused service during Covid because although I had a mask exemption government certificate the Takapuna store manager insisted I either wear a mask or get out.

Great staff, excellent knowledge of the products I bought.

The crew at Queenstown rock shop always look after me and have amazing service. Will always be using the bros!!

I recently had a fantastic experience at Rockshop NZ, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by their staff member Richard. I visited the store for a click and collect order, and Richard went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Not only did he replace a guitar string and tune the instrument for me, but he also upgraded a defective digital tuner with a better model. Throughout the process, Richard was incredibly friendly and courteous, making the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend Rockshop NZ for their excellent products and outstanding customer service, especially thanks to dedicated professionals like Richard.

I've bought a lot of gear over the last 5 -10 years. I've bought some gear in LA and some specific items from other good stores on the North Shore from time to time.
But Rockshop is my 'go-to'. They have a BIG range, carry a lot of stock, and most of the leading brands in each category.
What makes them great for me though is their behind the counter knowledge of products and advice as musicians, based on their VERY good understanding of what you might personally be trying to achieve.
From when I was even first starting out and they didn't even know me, until now, their advice has always proved to be spot on for my current and future needs and I've never had that 'bought the wrong thing' expereince.
You can't get that expereince 'on-line'.
Customer service and support is also excellent. They follow up with total committment to after sales service if there are any problems with gear issues under warranty etc.
Whatever your level might be then you're in good hands at Rockshop Takapuna & Albany.

The mini amp I wanted was out of stock at my local rock shop, ordered on line from N Island and request was immediate.

The team at the Papanui Rock shop are incredibly helpful & patient, I'll always be happy to shop at The Rock Shop

The Takapuna RockShop branch is staffed with friendly helpful people. I couldn't award 5 stars due to recently buying 2 Gorilla mic stands which the staff knew were each missing a part (as they admitted later when I went back to get it put right).

Ordered a guitar (guild d120ce) worth $1500.
Recieved it in a very bad condition. Old rusted strings, bent neck and crazy high action. Had to take it to the repair.

Great service and communication getting my gift sorted for my grandson. Extremely helpful and very much appreciated.

Very happy with product and support - it just took a while to get responses to email requests for quote.
