I was really excited to try Rosebud AI to build a basic game prototype, but the actual hands-on experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The free credit limit they give you is an absolute joke compared to what it actually takes to build a working project. You literally get a tiny handful of credits that disappear in seconds, and if you are trying to construct a solid foundational base or a basic game loop, typing just 1 or 2 prompts will completely wipe out your entire allowance before you even have a character moving on screen. Anyone who knows anything about game development understands that it requires constant iteration—you have to tweak things, test mechanics, and adjust code continuously to see what works.What makes the whole experience significantly worse is that the AI constantly introduces unexpected bugs and broken logic into the script. Because of this, the system will ruthlessly blow through your remaining credits just trying to patch and fix the catastrophic code errors it created in the first place, essentially punishing you for its own mistakes! Once you inevitably hit that aggressive paywall, instead of offering a reasonable daily reset, it slaps you with a ridiculous, counterproductive message telling you to come back in 7 long days. Who in their right mind is going to wait a whole calendar week mid-session just to test a single line of code or generate a basic asset? To top it all off, the platform's cloud saving is incredibly unstable; when you finally do return after a week of waiting, there is a dangerously high chance your project glitches out, fails to load, or isn't even saved properly in your dashboard anymore, completely wiping out your hard work. On top of that, you can't even export your source files, download your assets, or truly own your own work unless you pay up for their premium tiers. It is a total waste of time and an exhausting cash grab unless you are willing to open your wallet and pay them immediately.
