I bought a sofa from Rubeza in January…

I bought a sofa from Rubeza in January 2021, it sagged in the middle within the year, also sharp pieces were hanging out underneath. They took it away and supposedly repaired it, it was never very solid but now is at the end of it's life after the same problem occurring, all the underside is hanging out. It's 3 and a half years old and I need to buy a new one! Incidentally it's not had hard wear, I live alone and am about a UK size 12 so no heavy wear to it. So disappointed with it

Faulty item - no refund or replacment

Item was faulty, covered under warranty and Rubeza will not refund or replacee the item. Avoid this company and do not purchase as if something is wrong you will be out of pocket. I am at the stage of taking this to the small claims court.

Left with no sofa

I ordered in the October for my sofa, it was due to be delivered in February and I was told the day before my delivery was arranged that it couldn’t be delivered. Which meant I’d already got rid of my sofa and left me with no sofa from February - June. I had to chase and chase for updates. Lovely sofa but the overall process caused a lot of stress and inconvenience, wouldn’t recommend Rubeza to anyone.

I ordered two sofas last year.

I ordered two sofas last year, They called me last week to arrange delivery tomorrow (Thursday 11th) .. then ii get an email saying they can’t find one sofa. And will refund me. I rang today to confirm the other sofa will still come tomorrow and was told no it’s on a container due in February. I tried to speak to a manager but wasn’t allowed.

You can see from their response below : they were the ones that were aggressive on the phone… also after posting this here .. I had a telephone call from them .

- We explained when you purchased the sofa we have 1 pcs and my colleague book for you 1pcs sofa for today , other sofa's in the container which is the due to Houthi Attack on Suez crisis containership's going cape of good hope and container will arrive 02 Feb , but you always say I want know both of them now. We are not a god we couldn't able to create you sofa we explained to you thousand times , even you keep your voice up.


We don't allow the any type of harrassment in our company , We cancelled your order . Refunded full of funds , banned to you future purchases your purchase's your address / name / payment method will be cancelled automatically

Item arrived damaged

Item arrived damaged. But as it was not reported in 48 hours they told me there is nothing they could do (I was on holiday, neighbour met them) when I returned from holiday I opened the box to find the sofa damaged, 4 holes in fabric. I rang and rang but nobody was answering the phone, sent emails then finally I had a reply "you didn't report this quick enough, all damage had to be reported within 48hrs. Also we remember your property very awkward, probably got damaged trying to get it in" UNBELIEVABLE response!!! Now my in to my second week with our sofa and the arm is starting to come away from the frame!!!
My advice give this company a miss. Its a shame their customer service and after sales is so poor as the sofa is very comfy.

Not a happy customer 😒

Customer service is lacking. It seems like the whole business is led by one individual who organises sales, customer service, delivery etc. I was expecting the delivery of our sofa quite quickly as it said on the website it was in stock. It took at least three weeks. The sofa is nice and okat quality. I wouldn’t say it’s any better than Dunelm. Overall, disappointed. Wouldn’t buy again.

Rubeza refuse replacement of damaged basin.

Broken, cracked marble double basin. Delivered promptly but only recently opened box as was stored amongst other items in conservatory for bathroom install. Marble was cracked right the way through. Phoned customer line and they refused replacement, citing we waited too long after delivery (6weeks - we were also away on holiday for several weeks). We do not want a refund we want replacement. The basin is still in the box, way too heavy to be lifted out. UK government consumer law states entitled to replacement of faulty goods within 6 months and if beyond 6 months customer has to prove it was damaged on delivery. We are clearly within the legal requirement for replacement. Looking at reviews this is not an uncommon problem with this basin. I am hoping they can rise above and give customer satisfaction and consumer confidence. Awaiting response.

I think the response below says it all. The delivery team dropped off and box was unopened. Handling was done by delivery team and not by me. Refusal to replace defective/broken item is against UK consumer law. Their email response to me even worse.
They are now threatening to sue us for false claims. Simple issue of replacement of damaged good, not asking for refund or cancellation. I hope someone from UK office (rather than overseas handler) responds in a more pragmatic manner. We spent over 2000 pounds on this. I do not want to keep updating review with the back and forth - so will only post final outcome after this. Fingers crossed.

Products is not defected , it's broken and you checked the Marble wasn't broken or damaged with our delivery team on the delivery.We will not obligated the replacement. We are not obligated the cover customer fault's. You provided sizers for the package opened before they go , you would like to check item before delivery team go and you checked and allow to go item was firstly dropped upside reason of tipdown risk they put on the floor and opened for you. You wasn't need to be lift to checked the marble top's it was on the floor we have all proof.

Poor poor service, sofa is rubbish.

Poor poor service.

Sofa is squeaky, the seat has completely collapsed and is now basically a giant crater. I’ve contacted Rubeza about 10 times and I keep getting fobbed off by Ferkan. He isn’t bothered, kept telling me different dates etc etc I have all the emails, eventually they started ignoring me so I stopped bothering.

Poor company, poor quality, overpriced items. Paid £1,200 for the sofa it isn’t worth anywhere near that.

Would not recommend and will never ever purchase from them again.

Forkan exchanged the sofa with a brand new set at no extra charge. Amazing service and customer care. Highly recommend Rubezza. Will definitely get future furniture from Rubezza

Do not use this company

I initially had issues with my sofa delivery a couple years ago, with them delivering late and sending the wrong sofa. Now I am having more issues with another order. I have been waiting 4 months already, got told the order had been cancelled and now after chasing have been told it will be another 8 weeks due to container issues. They have said that I might have been notified but their emails may have been broken, which is clearly a lie. I don't trust this company, their customer service is shocking, their service is shocking.

The compensation offered was woeful. I’m waiting as patiently as possible, but not expecting to get this in the time they have quoted.
