We just bought our 2nd rug from Rug Source and love it as much as the first one we purchased. Was well packaged, shipped quickly, arrived when promised, and looks great. Will be buying more when they have restocked,

The rug is beautiful and shipping was fast. However, it has way more damage than noted on their website. I purchased a 30 year old Persian rug so didn't expect it to be perfect, but at least take pictures of the damage so people know what they are buying. It also arrived with an incredibly musty smell. Like it had been sitting in an old warehouse for decades. So now I have to pay $400 to have it cleaned since I don't want to go through the hassle of returning. I will not be repurchasing from Rug Source.

So far I've had two separate experiences where their rugs look great on their website, but once they arrive the colors look very different. As a photographer I understand that lighting conditions and camera white balance can vary, however the difference is quite stark to the point where I first thought they sent the wrong version by mistake.

Additionally, their "New" rugs often arrive looking very dirty, particularly around the rug edges. Lighter colored borders or tassels look like they've been stained by dirty water in places.

As other reviewers have commented, their rug pads also seem low quality. They leave a grey residue on your hands and have strong VOC odors. The rug pads aren't eligible for refunds.

Rugs are an okay value. They make their money on rug pads which are automatically added to each order. You cant return the pads for a refund. They say they are "custom sized" for the rug you purchase which is obvious BS considering there are only so many standard sizes of rugs. The pads SMELL like sewer gas and wont come out. Support would not refund 1 of 8 pads due to a smell that can't be removed.

The non skid pads smelled horrible. We gave them a few weeks to air out but the smell did not go away. We reached out to Rug Source for assistance. They refused to help. I would not recommend this company. Wasted hundreds of dollars.

I am giving a 5-star review even though our initial purchase had to be returned because we inadvertently selected the wrong color for our home color palette. Their free return policy, using Fed Ex, is outstanding and efficient. In all honesty, one would be foolish buying a rug elsewhere without first exploring Rug Source. Their inventory puts most competitors to shame and their website filters make window shopping a rewarding breeze. Most importantly, their prices are the best — by far, the quality of our hand knotted (120/sq in) was fine and they ship free via Fed Ex in one day.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Mind you, this is after I had already purchased 7 rugs from them and had given a five star review on their website! It was the 8th rug that required me to deal with customer service. They are so rude! Their email response was accusatory and degrading…so much so that I just decided to keep the rug, eat the $600 and NEVER shop with them again. I’ve since bought 3 more rugs at REVIVAL (also online) and have had an excellent experience each time. Do not shop at Rug Source unless you’re absolutely confident you’ll love your selection and won’t need customer service, because I promise you, they will disappoint.

I have purchased 4 rugs from Rug Source and all were quality, beautiful rugs at very reasonable prices. They shipped fast as well. The photos of each rug on the site show the areas that have damage (if the rug has any damage) clearly.

I bought a very, very large rug from rugsource (21 ft x 13 ft). The pricing was very low, so I was unsure about quality. They shipped the rug and a pad very quickly, and the actual thing is amazing—way higher quality than more expensive Pottery Barn rugs, and exactly what I was looking for. I am shocked that such a great rug seller exists online.

Okay, I don't want to say anyone with a bad experience is not correct. However, I just ordered a rug (Sept 2023) that wasn't right for the room, and returned it, and they could not have been more helpful/honest in my particular case. The return was straightforward and easy.
And actually, the rug was really nice and a good price, it just didn't work in the room.

Purchased two rugs, neither of which were right for my home and looked more faded / damaged than expected. I requested a return and sent both rugs back. Weeks later I followed up and the seller tried to say I returned them after 30 days. After sending proof that I had dropped them off before 30 days, they ghosted me. Thankfully I was able to file a dispute with Paypal and finally get a refund. Terrible customer service and they try to make money by scamming customers.

I used to love this shop, got three or four rugs from them in the past few years. The only problem was the ultra-bright lighting they use for photos distorting the color so what you get is often not what you expected. No biggie, with free returns, though.
But I've just had an upsetting experience and I don't even see what they have to gain from treating me badly. I'll tell the story: the cart suggests adding a rug pad when you check out and I accepted that the last couple rugs. I was unpacking them weeks later and saw the rug pad has a rubbery layer for grip. Having a latex allergy I sealed the packages back up and emailed the company to ask if it was natural or synthetic rubber. I got some weird replies telling me it was felt, fiber, recycled yarn yadda yadda, as if I'd asked about the pad when I was clearly asking about the rubbery coating. I just couldn't get a sane answer out of the rep. No matter how much I explained it was just "the pad's felt". I tried calling, same idiot/jerk. Tried a facebook message, ignored. Finally I tried using the BBB and again got the same weirdo saying the same weird non-answer. But then FINALLY they got off their butt and called the supplier to ask and both the RugSource weirdo and the rug pad manufacturer's rep stated on the BBB thread that I could rest assured there was no latex. BUT THAT WAS A LIE! The manufacturer's rep, thank goodness, included a pdf with all the product details. So after two months of seeking this info I was finally able to determine that no, it isn't safe for me to open these packages. What if I had listened to that claim there's no latex? Good grief. I guess some people just do not care if they hurt someone.

I return one of several rugs I purchased but Fed Ex list it. The rug source honored the refund for another rug that I really like with free shipping. Outstanding effort!

Always scary buying such an expensive item sight-unseen, but the vintage Persian rug I ordered was even more beautiful in person. I absolutely love it! Fast shipping too.

I had been searching a lot to find a beautiful and reasonably priced Persian rug made of 100% wool. The rug arrived in excellent condition. The colors and motives were very vibrant and with no doubt it is the statement item in our living room. Extremely soft to the touch—it feels like walking on pure luxury. Highly recommend their selection and the attentive service to help us find this stunning rug.

Our rug came sooner than expected, it had been wrapped with obvious care and was nicer than expected. The colors are wonderful and it had obviously been clean professionally. I was nervous about what I would receive and had called the company to ask about worn areas etc. The person I talked to, looked up the rug I wanted which was an unusual size and told me what to expect. We couldn't be happier and I highly recommend this company.

I ordered five rugs from Rug Source during their Valentine's Day promotion - Three are used Persian rugs 30 to 50 years old, so I looked carefully at the photographs and descriptions before buying, and only bought items described as being in Excellent condition. The rugs arrived within a week, nicely rolled in thick plastic packaging. Everything is exactly as described and shown in the photos. The used Persian rugs are beautiful, soft, and in perfect condition with no stains or obvious wear - they really look almost like new. I even asked the vendor if they have any idea where they have been for 40 years to be in almost mint condition - no response as yet. So, a very good experience, and I expect to buy more.

Over the past four years, I have ordered three rugs from Rug Source. This dealer provides the best value for the money. If you are careful in picking hand-knotted Persian rugs in excellent condition (no wear/abrash despite 40+ years of usage) and read the description, KPSI, and color descriptions carefully, you will not find another place where you can get such value for the money spent, and especially around the Holidays.

I purchased a 10' round oriental rug that was made in India. I noticed lint was all over my pants after placing it. After vacuuming rug 6 times and filling the bag with lint each time, I called Rug Source and they said this never happened before. After 6 more vacuums, still filling bag with lint. After numerous calls I got a replacement rug. I have filled the vacuum 6 times with same result. DO NOT BUY ANY WOOL RUG MADE IN INDIA AFROM RUG SOURCE AS THEY ARE AN INFERIOR RUG!!!!
