DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
IF THERE IS ANYTHING LOWER THAN A STAR, THAT'S WHAT THIS COMPANY DESERVE. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. DELIVERY WAS ARRANGED TODAY, MYSELF AND MY FAMILY TOOK THE DAY OFF WORK IN PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY AS I WAS TOLD THE HEAVY ITEM WILL BE DELIVERED ON THE PAVEMENT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE, ONLY FOR THEM TO CALL AT MID DAY TO CANCEL DELIVERY. AFTER EXPLAINING THE SACRIFICES MADE TODAY, THERE WAS NO CARE IN THE WORLD ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS, VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AS THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME AS PROMISED. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I GOT AN EMAIL THAT THE ITEM HAS BEEN DELIVERED AND ALSO AN EMAIL THAT I CANCELLED DELIVERY TODAY. THIS IS A JOKE OF A COMPANY. I WISH I READ REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING FROM THEM. MYSELF AND MY PARTNER LOST A LOT OF MONEY TODAY. I HOPE I GET MY FULL REFUND WITHIN 3 DAYS TO AVOID FURTHER ACTIONS. Wish I’d checked Trustpilot before I ordered from them - shocking - ordered in September and still chasing delivery and simply told they would have to wait until they received the products back from the courier until they gave a refund - shocking and take ages to reply. Won’t use again
Customer services is appalling
Customer services is appalling. I bought some clippers online in February and they stopped working, took them back to the store and they changed them, reluctantly, cos I had purchased them online. Two months later the second pair developed a fault, took them back and asked for a refund, which was refused, I was told to contact the manufacturer, which is not
my place to do. I then contacted citizens advice and was told I am entitled to a refund, contacted customer services but they obviously had no intention of giving me a refund from the start, told me it's a commercial warranty that I could only exchange them and am not entitled to a refund, even tho it states in their terms and conditions that they can refund, so I was lied to by the member of staff. This matter is ongoing!!
Their attitude sucks.
Pathetic is a word I’d not generally use, but completely justified. Owning a hairdressing business which has been in existence for over 60 years and asked to provide public liability insurance documents which was provided. Because the owners name was used for the account not the business name, apparently that wasn’t proof despite matching salon address.
Needless to say we won’t be ordering again and thank you for the reminder email to grade your service as it was a good reminder to leave my thoughts on trustpilot.
Can't change an order I made 20 seconds ago
Salon Services obviously got their IT done on the cheap. I ordered something, paid and then immediately noticed I'd ordered the wrong product. I called and was told by an agent in a robotic voice that once I had placed an order it cannot be changed or cancelled. Why? Obviously if an order has been despatched or prepared for despatch it's another matter, but I literally called 20 seconds after placing the order. Every online retailer I know allows you to change or cancel if you call them immediately. The only "customer friendly" option is for me to receive the wrong order, and then traipse to a Salon Services store and do a return. And obviously this all costs Salon Services money since they are packing and sending and then returning an order all because they haven't added appropriate functionality to their software.

I purchased the Wahl 5 Star Cordless…
I purchased the Wahl 5 Star Cordless Barber Combo, which includes a large and a small clipper. I sent the large one to a friend, so I’m not sure if it’s working. The small clipper, however, is completely ineffective—it grabs hair badly and doesn’t cut at all. I regret buying this product and am seriously considering just throwing it away. Save your money and look for a better option!
Unfit for purpose washbasin...
Bought an expensive washbasin from salon services had to wait for delivery then didn't arrive on said day. The main concern is how uncomfortable the Clara lumbar support basin is for clients . It isn't fit or purpose. The basin Sits in the chair so u cant manoeuvre it down anymore and the neck part is so wide everybody struggles to get their head back in it. I even had mine wahed in it to see and was not comfortable whatsoever o the point where custom is now lost .
I have disputed this with customer services and was fobbed off. Wouldn't recommend at all
Used to be such a good place
No vat free days, the prices are more expensive than buying directly from the brand. Picked up quite a lot of products, worked out I got £1 off the total amount by time they added at. Don’t shop here there is better options online. It’s a rip off and no incentive for being in the trade now.

On my third order now as doing a few courses in the industry, and have found the online service prompt and efficient. I was missing a hair mask in one of my orders but it was resolved within an hour and a new one sent out so I was very impressed. My most recent order was perfect and it was quite big so it would have been very easy to make a mistake but they didn’t. It came really fast and the products were fantastic value, I was really happy and will order again! Customer care have been lovely and a credit to the company.
FAULTY TRIMMER DIDNT OFFER REFUND
Hello, so this morning I went to the shop to buy a new trimmer. I explicitly asked the employee there if I could refund it if it pulls on the hair, because I have had previous experience with that and have actually received a refund when it pulls the hair from other companies, and she said “Yes, you can”. When I got home, I tested the trimmer to see how it works, and it did pull on the hair instead of trimming it smoothly. I headed back to the store, to ask for the refund that they promised me I could get. I explained everything to them and they said now that they actually can't give me a refund. They are telling me they don't cover that, when before that they said that I can get a refund if it pulls on the hair. I am really disappointed and really stressed now, because of your employees and my blood pressure really increased nearly causing me to pass out. The trimmer doesn't cut, it is faulty it just pulls on the hair, and they can't offer me a refund when I explicitly asked them if I can get a refund for that before even paying for it. I want to exchange the trimmer for a new one or get a full refund of what I paid. The store is in Kettering.

A tint trolley and stool
I unfortunately had to return this order due to a change with the salon I was going to rent a chair with.
Both items are available for purchase/collection from the Salon Services store in Leeds, Turnkey Park.
So I went there to return them in-store, both items still unopened in their original boxes. All they’d needed to do was to put them back in stock.
But no -because I had ordered them online and used PayPal- they were not able to accept my return.
Instead, I was told to come back the next day, when -quote on quote- “they’d 100% be able to process this for me with the help of their store manager”.
However, when I did come back again -another 50 minute round trip from my house- they told me again they could not take the return and that I’d need to contact customer service to request a return label -which I did, at the cost of OVER £11 PER BOX at my expense!!!!
This is, they explained to me, so DPD could collect it from a store where these items are sold ANYWAY!!!!!
I don’t understand, nor appreciate such ridiculous logic and will certainly not order from them again -£23 down the drain and customer services???
I’m seriously disappointed and put off by this experience!
Update -they’ve deducted almost £27!!!
Absolute shame, avoid them!!!!!

Trato al cliente nefasto, no se responsabilizan a la hora de la devolución de artículos y quieren que los gastos de envío los pague el comprador que además también se pagaron a la hora de la compra por lo que al final entre unas cosas y otras pierdes 20/25€

and couldnt do anything to rectify it

Bad experience
I'm new to the St Anne's area, I looked online for a good hair salon. I booked in with Sommer at opulence on orchard St. I had a brief consultation regarding highlights she seemed disconnected and lacked interest. Even so I thought I'd give her a chance I was quoted £150 for cut & colour which I had to pay half deposit & booked in. On the day she did the job and lacked enthusiasm I left with my hair blonder than expected with a nice blow dry. The following weeks and months my hair started to break and fall out it was already fine and it went very thin. I have since been to another salon and they have tried rectifying the colour and given me hair treatments to try and get it healthy again. I since heard this salon has been rectifying Sommer s mistakes, it seems the salon are carrying a unprofessional amature. This is very disappointing especially considering the extortionate price's. I have had to resort to wearing hats until my hair grows healthy again.

We have been customers of Salon Services for over 10 years and unfortunately will no longer be using them. They failed to inform us of an offer they had on and when trying to redeem this offer a few days later they flat out refused, blaming us for not seeing the offer whilst in store, I asked if they could manually override this as a way to acknowledge our loyalty and their error and again, refused stating they would loose money. Such a shame to be treated this way after such a long relationship with thousands of pounds spent. Salon Services are going down hill, and also never have the right stock. Bye Sally's 👋
