We’ve had a great experience with our son’s speech therapist, Alia. She does online sessions and is always welcoming and easy to work with. Alia makes the sessions fun and keeps our son engaged, which has really helped him make progress. We’ve noticed a great improvement in his speech and confidence. She’s very supportive and always adjusts her approach to fit his needs. We’re really happy with her and would definitely recommend her to other parents. Jenny

Alia has been absolutely incredible! She has changed my son’s life, for him to be able to thrive in school and to finally be understood. They built a rapport so easily and instantly became friends!!
Giving him extra work to practice during the week really helped him to improve rapidly! It’s been a pleasure having Alia help him and we cannot thank her enough! We now have different activities to use if we ever need to again! If we ever need support again I know we can speak to Alia! She’s amazing!

I was lucky enough to find Harriet as a match for my mother's needs, who has had a stroke and is struggling with her speech. Harriet was everything I could have hoped for and more. She was so patient and kind with my mum, taking the time to try and understand what she was saying and to be flexible about her needs. I highly recommend Harriet and thank her very much. Mum loved her btw.

We cannot recommend Sumayyah, our 12 year olds speech therapist enough. Sumayyah has been a consummate professional while being friendly, supportive and encouraging. Our child made excellent and rapid progress under her teaching and felt comfortable and respected in his own skin.

Sumayyah’s speech therapy has had a positive impact on my son. He started off with stuttering on almost every second word but with Sumayyah’s guidance and patience throughout his journey he has learnt what we call as magic tricks to apply them when he gets stuck. She is extremely patient and is open to feedback modifying her approach accordingly.
Her sessions have helped my son build his confidence levels and has helped me as a parent to understand the approach I can take to support him.

Saltroad made the process of finding a Speech and Language Therapist so easy. Thomas is great, and understands my autistic daughter. He is able to quickly adjust a session to her needs that night, and we are feeling a lot more confident about communicating as a family

I would highly recommend Thomas from Saltroad for speech and language therapy. He is working with my 17 year old son to help him with difficulty articulating his 'r' sound and difficulty with cluttering. Thomas has been working with my son online once a week, and I have seen a big difference in his confidence. I especially like the holistic approach which involves not only practising the techniques, but also getting my son to talk about how he feels about his speaking difficulties and what might be behind it. This seems to be a very effective way of working, especially with teenagers who are so self conscious. As a result my son has built a good rapport with Thomas and even though he was very reluctant to get speech therapy initially he now looks forward to the sessions. Thomas has been friendly, professional and patient with my son, especially when he hasn't done his practice, and has used humour in an appropriate way to encourage him. Thomas also communicates with us regularly, sending us notes after each session with a summary of the progress being made. Thank you!

I was desperate to find a speech and language therapist who could work with my foster child and help me to navigate the world of Augmented Auditory Communication (AAC). I found Saltroad and was matched with Lara, who is amazing. My foster daughter happily sits for almost an hour and is so engaged in her sessions with Lara. The sessions have helped both my child and myself immensely. I highly recommend Saltroad.

Salt road was used temporarily to help me support my son’s speech.
From emailing for a query to the set up and matching up with an appropriate therapist, the company was speedy and consistent with communication.
The therapist tried very hard with keeping my son (3yo) engaged in the video calls. In hindsight I wished I had booked a face to face session at his age, but this was all we could afford at the time.
I have taken away lots of tools and ways to help improve his speech which have been so helpful in our day to day.
Saltroad is a good stepping stone for support while waiting for the NHS speech therapy.
