Avoid Sandles Car Supermarket – Terrible Aftercare!

I bought a Mercedes C200 from Sandles Car Supermarket, paid £20,000 cash, expecting a reliable vehicle and decent service. Just one week after owning the car, it started making a strange noise. I contacted them straight away and was told to bring it back under warranty.

I drove 250 miles round trip only to be told, rather dismissively, that “all Mercedes have noisy injectors.” Not convinced, I had a Mercedes engineer check it out – they confirmed that something is definitely wrong with the car and it needs to be sorted.

When I contacted Sandles again, they told me that if it’s the same noise, there’s “nothing they can do.” Absolutely ridiculous. They clearly don’t want to take responsibility once the sale is made.

Wouldn’t bother buying from them again – totally useless after-sales service. If you’re thinking of spending your hard-earned money here, think twice. Once they’ve got your money, you’re on your own.

Sandles Car Supermarket were great because they have a great range of cars at various prices. They listened to my requirements, allowed a test drive. Gave me to take time to consider the purchase without being pressured. Went through the purchase procedure and optional purchases/ warranty with easy to understand explanation. They also offered a fair part exchange on my old car. All of the staff were friendly,helpful & professional.

Car on handover was immaculate inside and out. All documentation completed and road taxed ready to go. The showroom is amazing with complementary coffee and drinks available. Nothing was rushed and test drives available on the spot, I have already recommended Sandles to my family and Freinds my daughter has also purchased car here around the same time. I recently bought a car from Sandles, I dealt with Gina at Kings Lynn. I would like to share my experience with any other potential car buyer. The trip from Berkshire to Norfolk was so worthwhile. Sandles are a family run business and this comes across in all of my dealings with the company. I met several of the team but my main point of contact was Gina. Gina was professional, understanding, funny, caring and gave great guidance. Gina is an asset to Sandles and the automotive industry, a real stand out human being, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with Gina and Sandles. A great customer experience, a huge range of vehicles to choose from for all price brackets. It was worth an 8 hour round trip, a lovely company to deal with, no hard selling, it was just a great experience, thank you YFB

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt I should in this case. Had been looking for a specific car for some time, viewed quite a few. Turned up to Sandles late one afternoon. They gave me the key to look around the car I was interested in, I came back in and requested a test drive which they organised straight away. There was no pressurised selling or anything, just pleasant laid back staff. The cars sell themselves, they've got a great stock! Agreed I'd like the car - they organised a service and 4 wheel drive service which was due, and they carried out a full check on the car and replaced a couple of bits which needed doing (tyres and bad stop start button etc) so everything was perfect when I collected the following week. I don't normally buy from big car companies, but I was really impressed with the way they dealt with things, and I would go back to them in the future.

Their positive attitudes really stood out and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The cars were all in excellent condition and ready to drive away, and everything was clearly explained from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them—top service all around!

The service I received was very personal and friendly. Felt very comfortable waiting in the lounge area and no sales pressure from other reps unlike main dealerships. Definitely somewhere I can trust in the future for my partners car aswell. Alex Jones assisted me with the sale and answered all queries before collection day. Highly recommend :)
