Hi Chris, we sorry to hear about your challenge. We have not heard anything about this through our customer support email. It sounds like your HD model may have a different connector plug. This is common with models of 2026. We actually designed one specifically for Indian motorcycles. Please email us the details of the installation challenge. Such as the error code, what dealer was installing, name address phone (tech name if you remember). We can then get to the bottom of the error and fix it for you!
This is exactly what the Mini Banshee connectors are;
Spade terminals (also called blade or Faston connectors), typically two separate push-on elbow or straight female spade terminals on the bike's wiring harness that connect to male spade tabs on the horn itself.
This is the standard setup for Harley-Davidson Softail models, including the Low Rider (FXLRS/FXLRST) family. The 2025–2026 models follow the same design as recent M8 Softails (post-2018). Aftermarket "plug-and-play" horns for these bikes are designed to mate directly with the factory spade connections.
Key Details:
Horn terminals: Usually two male spade tabs (common sizes are 1/4" or 5/16" / 6.3 mm).
Harness side: Matching female spade connectors (often with elbow/90-degree boots for clearance).
Polarity generally doesn’t matter for the horn (it’s not sensitive), though one wire is typically hot (often yellow or similar) and the other ground.
Installation is straightforward: unplug the two spades, mount the new horn (often with the stock bracket/nut), and push the connectors back on. Many replacement horns are true plug-and-play.
Harley service info for horn kits explicitly refers to connecting “elbow terminals” or “male/female spade” connectors to the horn’s spade contacts.

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Been calling for 2 weeks now. No answer and no return calls. My wife purchase thru their website, was charged, never got any confirmation emails. She has called as well and now answer or response. Terrible service. Buyer beware.

Light speed delivery

Post-script on original review below
While the manufacturer continues to deflect by blaming the age, after trying to claim it was fake, this was a brand new, unused item I unwrapped from the box. After the experiences detailed below, with the unit casing breaking and discovering it was not as loud as claimed - I decided to complete the fitting. Following the wiring instructions faithfully, the horn blared constantly as soon as the ignition was turned on. I persisted and fixed this by disconnecting the original horn and just having the Banshee. This worked perfectly... but only for the first three seconds each time the bike was running - after that completely dead until I turned the bike off and started it again. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!
Original review: I would be very cautious about this company and will certainly not buy another item from them. I bought an older model, which was boxed and unopened. The cast metal case was of such poor quality that the mounting assembly snapped off when I attached the bracket. When i tested it the unit was only 82dB... nowhere near what the company claimed. They could not care less when I contacted them, first implying I had bought a fake, then when I showed them the packaging with delivery slip intact they basically said what do I expect buying an old model. Then they stopped responding.
Terrible attitude for a business that claims to care about their reputation.
Addendum following Screaming Banshee response - the company made no effort to accomodate in any way in their communication with me. Their reply is simply trying to cover their rear end. Facts remain, this is a genuine item in new, unused condition, that broke and straight out of the box was only 82dB. Should not matter that it is an older model. It was purchased direct from Screaming Banshee.
And to be absolutely clear, I did not ask for anything except technical advice on wiring. I passed on my experience with the product because it is the kind of feedback a reputable company would want to know and be concerned about. They only seemed concerned about protecting their reputation

This is a purchase of a horn over 10 years old. Tara purchased it on the secondary market not directly from our company. We tried to accommodate her technical support, but the unit is so outdated that we couldn't assist her
Caveat emptor " Let the Buyer beware". Only purchase a Screaming Banshee from our website, Amazon or an authorized dealer.
Tara's mistake is not our problem.

Your response is predictable... After you ordered a horn complained about a cosmetic issue...AND. As were were replacing the unit upon the return of the original. YOU, placed a chargeback complaint and filed for a refund.
In addition you were caught on the attempt of getting 2 horns for the price of one.
But, did you forget of the email saying once we receive the return horn ( of which we did,,)
Our team refunded your money in full and asked you to go buy a competitor horn.
In Summary, enjoy the summer and your phony games And now a one star rating is regrettable AND laughable

After I got it installed and torqued corelrectly it made a noticeable difference. Horn note is lower than the factory motorcycle horn and louder.

its easy to plug and go but it has to be grounded to the bike for the loud sound. they are a lot louder than the factory horn very pleased with it.
