In-line with other reviews, this is an absolute scam and not worth purchasing. In terms of sickness, the level of information they request is unnecessarily personal and sensitive, even then you still won't get a refund. I've never been so disgusted by an organisation.

My friend had developed a medical problem & only admitted to me a week before the opera - at the Empire Liverpool - that he didn’t feel able to attend. I rang the Secure Refunds telephone helpline, & was immediately sent an e mail asking me to forward the original e mail ticket showing my purchase with proof I’d (thankfully) taken out ticket refund protection on. Also to attach any anonymised medical proof of my friend’s ongoing medical problem. I was given advice on how to take photos of the e mails & Hosp letter & how to send said attachment's for the refund. I received an immediate acknowledgement of receipt, went on line two days later to establish progress & chose to chat to a member of customer services. Angela started the chat conversation with me, looked into my case & after a few more questions which needed further info, Angela confirmed the refund request had been allowed & would be paid into my bank account shortly. Throughout the chat Angela was efficient & provided excellent customer service making the whole process simple and successful in a very short space of time.
Will not refund no matter what.
They are a waste of money. They wouldn't even provide a refund after I was hospitalized with a subdural hematoma. They asked for more and more paperwork proving that I was ordered to stay home after the hospitalization.

Waste of money taking ticket protection insurance with this company. Every time you provide evidence of accident etc they ask for more. They obviously find every excuse not pay out.

Don't bother insuring your tickets with these guys, it's effectively a scam/fraud.
Booked a train ride on ELR over the Christmas week for DS and myself and insured the tickets. Unfortunately he contracted a virus and was far too ill to go anywhere over Christmas with all food etc. thrown out, effectively Christmas was written off. Contacted the insurance company and explained the situation have spent 2 weeks going backward and forward providing various bits of paperwork they were requesting, even down to having to request a VAT receipt from QT to send on to them, and some requesting personal texts relating to conversations about having to cancel. This evening, I have again had another demand stating that a Doctors note (£25), hospital admission/discharge letter, or sick note are provided or I get my GP to fill in their form (again £25). As this was just supposed to me a Christmas treat for my son and I the two tickets don't amount to much more than £25. The amount of badgering for paperwork not available in the case of the majority of childrens illness effectively makes it a scam/fraud as even with the Doctors Note there is no guarantee that they would honour the insurance on the tickets. Utterly disgusted with this sham of a company.

In March 2024 I purchased theatre tickets to a show in London for late January 2025, ATG manage the tickets and offered ticket insurance through Secure Refunds. As the show was 10 months after the purchase date, I took the insurance. Fast Forward to December 2024, when I'm looking a trains from Newcastle to London, only to find Network Rail have planned engineering works over the weekend of the theatre show and there are no trains running. I looked at all other options of transport but nothing was going to work to get me there in time and to get me home again. I submitted the refund claim to Secure Refunds on 10 December 2024 along with screenshots of the Network Rail page referring to the engineering works. On the 15th January 2025 I still had no response from Secure Refunds, so I contacted them, to be told my claim had been rejected on the basis that a travel delay needs to occur on the date of the event with no knowledge of the incident, so they cannot process something in the future. I stated it wasn't a delay, more that no trains are running and when I purchased the insurance, there was no knowledge of the engineering works. They then sent me an email stating their T&Cs. I asked what percentage of claims are accepted but the chat ended with no response to that question. I feel the insurance was a waste of money and would not buy again.

Had to request refund after an injury, I had doctors notes and had all the emails showing that I purchased the tickets and bought the insurance. It has now been a month since I requested the refund and about 12 emails, but still no refund. They keep finding more things they can ask for to delay payment. Not Good Customer Service!!!
Don’t waste your money!
Booked theatre tickets through ATG and took the insurance provided by Secure Refunds as I always do. However on the day of the show (Sat) my wife had an upset stomach and we couldn’t attend. Secure refunds declined our claim because we didn’t have a doctor’s confirmation, despite the fact that a) we wouldn’t go to the doctors with an upset tummy and b) our doctors is closed on a Saturday.
I won’t be wasting my money on the insurance again!

Total scam. Do not pay for this, you’ll never see a penny of refund no matter what happens to you.

Registered outside of the UK so they have their backs covered. I would score them 0 stars but Trust Pilot minimum is 1 star. AVOID!!!
We had an issue with excellent customer services
We had an issue with tickets to a show in Liverpool and had to talk through the problem with the staff. Tiffany was so friendly and helpful we just had to write a review. When ll definitely recommend their services. Thank you.
