I’ve had the privilege of working with Shehnoor Ahmed for over four years, and honestly, I can’t count the number of things I’ve learned from him.

What started as an opportunity in graphic design turned into a journey that took me far beyond just designing. He gave me the space to explore branding, marketing, content strategy, social media, client management, and eventually develop the mindset to think and work like an entire marketing function.

And I’ll admit something, his way of working used to annoy me sometimes. 😂 At the time, I didn’t always understand why he pushed certain things, asked so many questions, or expected me to think beyond the task in front of me.

Looking back now, I realize that was exactly the point.

He wasn’t just teaching me how to do a job; he was teaching me how to think, take ownership, solve problems, understand the bigger picture, and continuously improve.

A lot of who I am professionally today has been shaped by those four years, including some lessons I probably didn’t appreciate enough at the time. 😅

He has been an incredible leader, mentor, and a very important part of my professional journey. I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity he gave me and for everything that came with it.

I'm a dev by trade, so marketing isn't exactly my strong suit. We brought Shehnoor in to handle strategy while I focused on the product side. Honestly, I was skeptical at first most marketing consultants I've dealt with talk in vague buzzwords and expect magic.

What worked well:

· He took time to actually understand the product architecture and technical constraints before suggesting anything
· His Google Ads prompts and campaign structures were logical and easy for me to implement without constant hand-holding
· Gave clear, measurable KPIs so I could track whether his work was moving the needle
· Respectful of dev timelines didn't promise clients unrealistic delivery dates

Room for improvement:

· A couple of his suggestions required backend changes we couldn't accommodate without major refactoring, which created some back-and-forth
· Occasionally assumed I had more marketing knowledge than I actually did

If you're a technical founder or dev team needing marketing direction from someone who won't waste your time with fluff, he's a solid pick. Made our campaigns profitable within about 6 weeks.

Overall, if you're looking for a no-nonsense consultant who'll give you honest feedback and a clear direction, he's worth it. Just don't expect hand-holding—you'll need to put in the work on your end.
