Sent me a totally different style to the ones I ordered and refused a refund. Shoes come poorly packaged in a plastic bag. Avoid.

DO NOT BUY ….. don’t make the mistake I did and not read the reviews before making a purchase from this supplier. The items come from China a fact they fail to tell you in their sales blurb as a consequence they take quite a while to come. I’ll tell you about the shoes I bought ….. following a recent foot injury I was looking for a comfortable cushioned wide fit orthopaedic shoe, sadly the shoes delivered met none of those criteria yet claimed they did. They were poor fit, snelled terrible, poor quality and had no orthopaedic qualities whatsoever they were nothing short of a mediocre canvas deck plimsole. I immediately put in a request for return details & refund. After supplying a variety of photos from all angles (as requested) so they could confirm that the hour old shoes they’d just confirmed had been delivered were untarnished and fit for refund they then told me they were happy to accept them back but that I would either have to just accept a 40% refund or pay the postage to return them to an address in mainland China even though in their own statement they say they provide 30 day no problem money back …. Something else they fail n to tell you at point of purchase. I wished I had read the reviews first then I wouldn’t be out of pocket for something I purchased in good faith and at no fault of my own. The only reason I’ve given them 2 stars is they do reply (bear in mind the time difference with China) reasonably quickly the only positive this company can claim.

I ordered 4 pairs of shoes for my holiday. Thinking I would choose the best ones and send the rest back for a refund like every other single online store. I was wrong!!!

My shoes took 2 weeks to arrive by which time I was already on holiday. On my return I’ve been trying to organise a refund for 10 days now only to be told I can send them back to China (I didn’t know they were coming from China!), and pay the shipping and importation costs or accept a 40% refund.

Oh, and the shoes look nothing like the AI generated photos on their website. Very clunky and plasticky.

Please, please, please do not buy anything from Rowan shoes or Marley shoes (another trading name)

If i could give minus stars i would. Lousy product. Sizing totally wrong. Shoddy packaging. Returns to china if i pay all costs or option of 40% of my money back. I didn't realise it was based in China. Feel well and truly scammed.

As other reviews have said, essentially a China based scam company. Shoes received a very poor quality ordered two sizes to get the right fit but then found it impossible to return them just kept getting asked odd questions with no final response from the company. very disappointing avoid at all costs.

I would not recommend Rowan Shoes based on my experience.
The sandals I ordered did not fit and I was unhappy with the colour, so I contacted them immediately to arrange a return and refund. What I found particularly disappointing is that, despite appearing to sell to UK customers, I was told that the return would need to be sent to an address in China.
This makes returning an unsuitable item unnecessarily expensive and inconvenient. I do not think this is made sufficiently clear to UK customers before purchasing, and had I realised I would be expected to return unwanted goods to China, I would never have ordered from them.
Instead of providing a straightforward UK returns process, I was offered only a 40% refund to keep goods that I neither want nor can use.
UK customers should be very careful and check the returns arrangements before ordering. In my experience, what looks like a simple online purchase becomes a very different matter if you need to send something back.
I certainly would not purchase from Rowan Shoes again.

What a load of crap. The shoes took forever to arrive and when they did they were shoddily made and did not fit properly. I requested a return and was told i have to pay customs and shipping costs which actually worked out more than the shoes cost. when i checked the company out i saw it was a uk registered company so thought it would be ok. my advise is DO NOT NUY

As with all others sandals I received are just cheap plastic flip flops. Despite website stating that returns were accepted within 30 days, I was told to return the item to China at my expense or receive a partial refund. I had no idea that I was buying a product which would be imported from China on an individual basis. More importantly, the quality of the sandals is nothing like that stated in the website which even describes them as orthopaedic standard.

Rowan Shoes are totally bogus, do not buy.
Shoes took a month to arrive ordered size 4uk, size 7uk came badly packaged, shoes made of cheap, bargain basement materials and no paperwork or return label.I paid fifty pounds and would probably lose more money attempting a return.
The online feedback form on their website is bouncing at every attempt to submit.

Dreadful. Appalling. Shoe quality, comfort and orthopaedic value non-existent. I agree with the other (several) reviewers who have said - oh, so wisely! - just don't. You can do without the hassle... My particular experience involved receiving a pair of plastic 'orthopaedic' ankle boots in February (a customer review, which I now realise was faked, said, "I cried the first time I put these boots on; they were so comfortable"), parcelling up my return, paying the Post Office £20.70 for international shipping to, yup, China and opening the door to the postman yesterday (August, six months later) to find that my parcel had been all the way to China (on a very slow boat...) and had been sent back to - you guessed it! - me. Same parcel, unopened. Luckily the Post Office refunded my postage.

Just don't.

These shoes cost £29.99 plus postage in the sale and are awful! Poor fit, very very poor quality material and look like something my gran would have worn back in the 1920s!
Customer support will offer 25% and you keep the shoes or you pay to return to china then they’ll decide if they will refund you! Appalling! PLEASE FO NOT BUY FROM THEM

When selling, they do not advise they are made snd sent from China. The shoes are not standard UK fit so if you need to return them, be prepared to pay £25 to send them back to China.
Would not recommend them to anyone.
Now waiting to see if they give me my money back.

Delivery was a tad slow. These were for my partner who has problem feet. On the whole they have been a success, we had to try a couple of his orthotics to get a good fit, but he is generally pleased. They appear quite supportive and will hopefully remain snug. The double velcro is quite useful for putting on, and adjusting to a close fit.

I wish I had read these reviews first.
The website looks good however the shoes:
do not like the ones in the photographs
do not match the description
use cheap materials
poorly made
came from China which was not made apparent at all
arrived very late
DO NOT BUY - These sales are akin to THEFT.

I can't even be bothered the hassle of trying to get a refund after reading the reviews of others who have tried. Chalk it up as an error instead!

Nice comfortable very pretty shoes, not too high and don't pinch or rub anywhere. Took a few weeks to arrive but just in time for when I needed them for.

Just Don’t. I was in a rush, shoes looked good and I didn’t check the company.

Shoes came from China (I try not to buy anything from there). They’re cheap, clumpy, not orthopaedic. Not like the pictures either. Also arrived too late for the event I wanted them for.

Tried to get a refund, told that because they were in the sale, I have to pay for return (£20 ish) and once they’ve ‘checked’ etc I’ll get my money. I don’t believe them. If I prefer, they’ll refund 25% and I can give the shoes to someone else (no-one I know!).

I feel very stupid - hope you’re reading this before you spend!

This company is a joke , their products are cheaply made, poor quality and inconsistent sizing , i tried to get a refund but they just ignored me. Do NOT purchase from them you would be just aswell throwing your money away!!

I purchased sandles and couldn't wait for comfort. Well they arrived the soles are hard plastic rubber soles no cushioning the straps are made of flannel and i sized up amd they still did not fit my foot.
I emailed to ask for a return for refund and was told that I would have to cover due to being on sale as quoted in policy.
This was a lie as nothing in policy states that only that they will take £5 service charge.
All I can say don't waste your money they are not orthopedic shoes and very cheaply made i feel its a big scam shop honestly

I brought a pair of trainers which i thought were made for arched feet. I was not impressed as these are flimsy, cheaply made, the grip is not very good on them. I only brought them as they were on sale but i would not pay the original price for these. Sadly would not use this company again, took too long to come.

The sandals are very comfortable, they look nice, and more importantly for me is that they are easy to slip on and off and adjust so that they fit perfectly. I would buy them again without hesitation.
