Ruined a decent selling platform…

Ruined a decent selling platform because they want to make more money. I have over 50 positive selling reviews but since they started charging people for the service they were getting for free already, I have stopped using Shpock now. Why are people going to pay for the exact same thing they were always getting for free? Dont make sense. It’s now full of annoying ads too. Oh well their loss

Waste of time!

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Advertised something for £45, got 9 offers, all of them timewasters. People make offers on this site, you accept the offer and then they just ghost you. It happened to me about 8 times. Finally someone bought it for £20, then started messaging me asking for a refund because they didn't like it. Then they wanted me to come and collect it!! It's more effort than it's worth, I won't bother using it again.

Thank you for your feedback. A positive user experience on Shpock is of utmost importance to us. If a user entered into a deal with you and then reneges on it unilaterally, you can report them via the menu at the top right in your sales chat. Our team will then review the issue and depending on the user's history so far, this may lead to a restriction or even permanent suspension of their account.

Gone completely down hill and is…

Gone completely down hill and is useless to use, it’s started charging to advertise, and all you get is buyers making silly bids, then if you agree a sale they say they will buy the item, then you ask them when they want to collect, do not turn up then you try to contact them with no response, it’s happened to me 9 times out of the last 10 sales I have tried to make, I then report the users to shpock to try to get there account closed for lying and being dishonest, but all they say is they are dealing with it, useless, I also have said that I do not like giving out my address to these people as in this day and age they could be up to no good, it needs to be closed down or a total revamp of how you buy and sell with it

War bei Shpock seit 2014 Mitglied als Privatverkäufer in einer Stadt mit mehr 1 Million Einwohnern. Ich hatte in der Zeit immer die gleichen 10 bis 15 Anzeigen mit Artikeln zur Abholung online. In der ganzen Zeit vielleicht 15 Anfragen, davon vielleicht die Hälfte mit angenommen Deal, von denen ein(!) Käufer auch dann wirklich aufgetaucht und es zu einem Verkauf gekommen ist. Es gab keine Möglichkeit, Käufer, die einen trotz bestätigten Deal ghosten , schlecht zu bewerten. Inbox-Funktion gab es jahrelang nur in der App, nicht in der Desktopversion.
Der einzige Pluspunkt: bei Shpock haben die Desktop Browserbenachrichtungen für Anfragen immer funktioniert, das ist etwas das KleinanzeigenDE bis heute nicht anbietet/funktioniert.

Da das Einstellen von neuen Anzeigen bei Shpock nun kostenpflichtig ist, eh nicht mehr zu empfehlen und Zeitverschwendung. Auf KeinanzeigenDE, nebenan und sogar den Betrüger-Lieblingsportalen Facebook Marketplace und Quoka hat man größere und realistischere Chancen, seine Sachen loszuwerden und diese Portale sind alle auch weiterhin für private Verkäufer kostenlos.

There is no Customer Care. Racially abusive comments ignored by Shpock

Dear Shpock, its very disappointing that you haven't responded to my alert about the sellers suspicious behaviour in person and my two subsequent request to remove the racially abusive comments he left on my feedback. If you read the comments he erased in the private chat it is clear he is trying to provoke a reaction. My reaction was to inform your help centre and you have ignored it, 3 times! It would appear that Shpock condones this.

I have noted your reply.

Shpock didn't tackle his behaviour, you allowed him to carry on by removing my warning to other members on his profile. He must have enjoyed your 'premium' service.

If I have to purchase a premium membership to prompt you to act in accordance with your own stated policies (to stop racial abuse), then I suggest your company's priories are all wrong.

And using the GDPR as an excuse for non communication, would be laughable if it wasn't a serious issue.

I thank you for all the help & advice…

I thank you for all the help & advice that Shpock gave me. I ended up going into an Apple Store to finally get my problem with loading the app sorted out. It turned out that it wasn’t a Shpock issue at all. I had to delete the app from my device, then reinstall it & sign back in with a new password. Everything is now working just fine & I sincerely apologise for troubling Shpock with this problem.

Used to love Shpock

Used to love Shpock. Thought it was a glitch when I went to list an item and it kept asking me to subscribe. Looked on Google and found out Shpock now charges to sell. What a let down!! Used to list quite a bit on here but won't now. Like others have said Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace are now my go to sites. I'm sure this will be the start of Shpock's downfall. Why is it companies want more and more money from you all the time! Such a shame. Bye bye Shpock!

Rausgeworfene Zelt und Geld.
Leider lese ich diese Bewertunen hier zu spät. Ich habe vor einem Monat überhaupt zum ersten Mal von dieser Plattform erfahren. Habe hier ein Paar Anzeigen eingestellt und auch 99 Cent bezahlt. Die Anzeigen laufen nur einen Monat und nicht 3 Monate wie hier der Support behauptet. Wie auch immer, ich dachte 1 Monat wäre genug. Nun sind 3 Wochen um und bis jetzt hat es, trotz sehr realistischer Preise, nicht mal jemand vorgemerkt. Die Seite scheint tot zu sein. Kein Mensch unterwegs gefüllt. Die Seite an sich ist irgendwie sehr unübersichtlich und bedingungs-unfreundlich - vielleicht deswegen ist kaum jemand hier aktiv.
Mir sind die umsonst bezahlten 99 Cent nicht so schade wie schade es um die unnötige Zeit für die Einstellung der Anzeigen ist.

Geisterplattform. Nach Ablauf der Anzeigen ohne mich.

Hi Sven, beim Standard-Abonnement (€0,99) läuft die Anzeige 1 Monat, kann aber nach Ablauf kostenlos verlängert werden. So stellen wir sicher, dass die Anzeigen immer aktuell sind.


Um die Verkaufschancen zu erhöhen, raten wir Usern, deren Produkte sich leider über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht verkauft haben, diese zu aktualisieren, also z.B. den Preis oder die Beschreibung anzupassen.

Wird immer schlechter

Shpock war früher wirklich eine tolle Plattform – viele Nutzer, reges Interesse, regelmäßige Verkäufe. Leider hat sich das in den letzten Jahren stark verändert. Mittlerweile ist es richtig schwer geworden, überhaupt etwas zu verkaufen. In diesem Jahr habe ich gerade mal einen einzigen Artikel über Shpock verkauft – und das, obwohl ich exakt die gleichen Artikel auch bei einer bekannten österreichischen Konkurrenzplattform eingestellt habe, wo es deutlich besser läuft.

Grundsätzlich habe ich nichts gegen eine Gebühr – 99 Cent im Monat sind wirklich nicht tragisch. Andere große, internationale Plattformen verlangen da deutlich mehr, und das sogar pro verkauftem Artikel.
Eine moderate Monatsgebühr ist also nicht das Problem. Das Problem ist vielmehr, dass Shpock kaum noch aktive Nutzer hat und offenbar nichts dagegen unternimmt. Wenn niemand mehr kauft, dann stellt sich für mich natürlich die Frage: Wofür soll ich überhaupt noch zahlen?

Noch unverständlicher ist für mich, dass Shpock anscheinend keinerlei Anstrengungen unternimmt, um Nutzer auf der Plattform zu halten oder neue zu gewinnen. Die App und das System stagnieren, Innovationen bleiben aus. Dabei gäbe es so einfache und sinnvolle Möglichkeiten, das Vertrauen zu stärken und Verkäufe wieder anzukurbeln – zum Beispiel ein optionales, integriertes Versand- und Bezahlsystem, bei dem Käufer bei Bedarf eine Art Käuferschutz dazubuchen können und die dafür anfallende Gebühr selbst tragen. So würden die Verkäufer keine zusätzlichen Kosten haben, und Shpock könnte trotzdem daran verdienen.

So ein integriertes Versand- und Bezahlsystem hat mittlerweile jede der bekannten Verkaufsplattformen in Deutschland und Österreich.

Wieso also schaut sich Shpock nicht bissl was von anderen Verkaufspattformen ab?

Fazit: Die Idee hinter Shpock war gut, aber die Umsetzung lässt inzwischen stark zu wünschen übrig. Wenn sich nichts ändert, wird die Plattform vermutlich nicht mehr lange überleben. Sehr schade.

Aktuell bieten wir zwar keine integrierte Versandoption an, du kannst jedoch deinen PayPal-Account mit Shpock verbinden, um so Zahlungen deiner Käufer sicher entgegenzunehmen. Gleichfalls kannst du als Käufer direkt in der App über PayPal mit Käuferschutz bezahlen.

GREEDY GOODBYE

Started as a great place to sell and buy from for free. Got greedy and now charge. Not for me. I have closed my account after 6 years and use Gumtree and Facebook marketplace as they are free,,PS they also do the old pay £1 for a month BUT then you have to cancel it to stop them from keep taking your money. I'm sure some people forget to cancel and are still paying 😡😡😡🚨PPS why do you send the same copy and paste reply to everyone. Gumtree and Facebook marketplace are free and not greedy so you will continue to loose thousands of users and how do you think for the sake of £1 that will help you.🚨

Having to pay to sell now?? on a platform that isn't rated highly or isn’t as popular as other free apps is doomed to fail.

Shpock ist leider seit Jahren tot. Ich habe so oft zum Support geschrieben, die sollen was dagegen machen, dass keine unrealistischen Preisangebote möglich sind.
