Great service by Sebastian, who helped me find the perfect storage unit for me. I can highly recommend this Shurgard location, it’s clean, safe and easily accessible.

It's a very nice place to store your goods. I kind of got lost, cause I am awful at this, but with one call. I got told where to go. Badr, who works at the Shurgard NDSM-werf kindly assisted too. Thank you! Rosalinde

We were locked in by the electric gates, because we were still unloading our van past 9pm.

We called the helpline numbers and none of them helped.

Their 24 hour helpline is not 24 hours it just provides an automated message which says a manager will contact you during opening hours. This is not helpful if you have been trapped by their electronic gates.

We sought help from local law enforcement who couldn’t help and eventually we had to climb over the Shurguard spiked security gate (me, my girlfriend and our 40kg dog) - this came with considerable risk of injury!

We had to take a taxi home as we couldn’t get our van out. And a taxi back in the morning to collect our van.

The manager, did call the following afternoon, he did not apologise or admit fault in anyway.

Unit stond snel klaar. Heel handig, past meer in een unit van 1m2 dan gedacht.

De ruimte was goed en was goed voorbereid en schoon.
Echter was de start wat minder, doordat ik de box niet in kwam. De dag voordat we de box gingen huren, heb ik mezelf netjes geïdentificeerd zodat we de volgende dag vroeg in de box konden. Met de app zou ik toegang krijgen. Echter bleek bij aankomst dat ik de manager moest zien. Doordat we er buiten kantooruren waren, moesten we een uur wachten.

Helemaal top. Een opslagbox was in een handomdraai geregeld.

The website was up to date. A bit confusing at time. Paying the fee and getting I’d verified took 10 mins. It works. You should be proud

Zomaar zonder enige aanleiding hebben ze me huur opgezegd en me niet verder geholpen plus ook nog op een blacklist geplaatst belachelijk omdat ik uit de auto me nieuwe adres moest halen en het niet uit me hoofd wist

Zeer makkelijk om een opslag te huren en het in gebruik te nemen.
Bij het tonen van de eerste interesse (een keer verder klikken om naar prijzen etc te kijken) wordt je wel gelijk vaak gestalkt : meermaals gebeld / gemaild of je nog interesse hebt. Dat was wat onnodig.

Prima storage, alleen zouden er wat meer karren moeten zijn. Met maar 3 karren sta je vaak te wachten op een beschikbare kar.

If you consider Shurgard as a safe and protected storage place, please read my story first before renting a storage facility or continuing your rental agreement.
I kept my property during the last 2 years with Shurgard. For this period, they increased rentals by more than 30% but I was fine with this since I believed protection and safety requires investment so it would be a more secure place to store.
I paid timely and everything was OK until the beginning of July 2024 when I came to my Shurgard rented place and discovered my property damaged.
During my previous visit in mid of June 2024 there was no damage. Something happened between these two visits to the Shurgard location because my property was there all the time.
I believed that Shurgard recorded on their camera the incident since Shurgard website says: “Our premises are secured with surveillance cameras, perimeter fencing, alarms, individual access codes. You can access your unit with your own lock and key.”
I asked the administration of the storage location to help to find the person who caused the incident to claim damage compensation. I thought everything was recorded and easily figured out.
I also sent Shurgard an official letter about the incident. After 20 days they literally provided me nothing besides we are very sorry.
I suggest the administration either does not have a recording of the incident thus it is a big question about the security level and protection of my property.
Or they know everything about the incident but deliberately conceal the information from me for unknown reasons. This is even more serious to me.
After I understood that
a) my property is not protected with the security level mentioned on their website
b) administration would do nothing to help me with claiming damage compensation.
I immediately cancelled my storage agreement and took my property to find a safer place even for bigger fee.
In fact, I paid for surveillance cameras, perimeter fencing, alarms and other deemed property protection components which do not help me at all in the case above.

Niets aan te merken op de gehuurde ruimte en bovenal erg enthousiast over het vriendelijke, professionele personeel. Een aanrader en zeker een bedrijf waar ik mezelf in de toekomst terug zie komen.
