At every stage of my use of the Shurguard storage facilities in Camberley, I have been impressed with the professionalism of the staff - especially Richard, who is always helpful. This must be the best storage facility in Camberley.

After an initial problem with a unit with a number of obstructions (watch out on the booking site for the 'economy' unit option - we missed that and it's why it happened) the local staff in Camberley couldn't have been more helpful to move us to a different unit. Thanks to Richard, assisted by Kieran, for sorting it all out for us. 1 star upgraded to 5.

No Access- from reading the reviews, this happens a lot

- both lifts security code boxes are not working / not allowing the lift to travel to my floor (2nd)
- no fail safe for this, no stairs, no other way to enter, no access from fire escape
- tried all other doors and alarmingly - one of the doors to the ground floor was UNLOCKED.
- made it into ground floor, again no way to get to the second floor as the only available stairs are for the fire escape, and fire escape to the 2nd floor is locked (rather than having code access which would have solved this problem)
- no out of hours / emergency contact for Shurgard (it’s only 8pm on a weekday)
- lift maintenance company cannot do anything remotely

I’ve just had someone make a 4 hour round trip to collect something from me that I now cannot get. What an absolute shambles this place is. Will be contacting first thing to get my money back and get my belongings so I can take them elsewhere.

Shurguard saved the day again! Fantastic that I could reserve a unit to start from the next day, which was also a Bank Holiday. Saved the day when having new carpets and decoration works done after a flood from upstairs flat and nowhere to store anything! Especially finding out the start date last minute. The lovely gentleman in the office at Camberley was wonderful, thank you. Immaculately clean unit and premises itself, so easy to access and all just made life easier. So thank you

Have been with Shurgard for about 3 years, was moving house and downsizing so needed a unit for our furniture. Got it at a very good rate, it's very clean, the hours are brilliant (compared to another storage company we used before where the hours were pretty much 9-6 - no good if you're working), and has gated access. So all in all quite positive. The downside of this company is that they have been putting up the costs quite frequently. It went from £138 in October 2021 to £157.20 in November 2021 and now I am being told that it is going up to £195.60 in September 2022. I'm not getting anything extra and can't see why all these increases. Not happy but don't have anywhere else to move all my stuff to. :-(
Have tried to air my grievances however think it is falling on deaf ears.

Very helpful and efficient staff member when I turned up to access for the first time.
I found the whole booking process much easier compared to another storage company I have used previously. I also like that you don't get charged extra for out of hours access, which other storage companies do.

It was so easy to book online and when I arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. I would highly recommend shurgard Camberley.
