Easy to use and very helpful staff

Very friendly, everything explained step by step, clean tidy and easy.

Straight forward to arrange. Clean tidy and secure. Very cost effective. Great customer service- explaining access system, unit ready and waiting , easy to contact.

I am disabled and can barely walk. I booked a “ground floor unit very close to the big shutter door”. It is a ground floor unit but it is not “very close” to the front door., and it is a struggle to walk to it.

Thé trolleys are ancient and difficult to steer, especially when loaded. In theory my balance and walking can be a lot better when pushing a trolley but definitely not with these trolleys!🙁

On my first visit a week ago I found that the stretch of lights just outside my unit kept going out and I had to keep triggering them with movement. I timed this and they only remain lit for two seconds, literally! I complained at reception and was told that there was lots of refurbishment going on (it badly needs it - cracked floors and paintwork; battered trolleys etc) . The electricians had “just left” (4.15pm) but were due in the next day so it would fixed quickly. A week later and it is still the same! Infuriating.

I also had to phone up to get an entry code sent to me otherwise I could not had gained entry outside office hours - ie no entry at the weekend at all.
This is all very poor service. 😩

This is the first time I have used self-storage and I have to say that I have been quite impressed so far.
There is an obvious customer service focus - I enquired in person with a view to take a unit and I was taken by the representative to view the unit I had in mind with no problem. Advice and options were clearly presented.
I took up the Unit by applying online, which was straightforward and given all the information for access when I was ready to move in. The App is a doddle to use for access and the Fareham location is easy to get to.
All in all, the whole experience has been positive and straightforward; I even had a follow up call to ensure everything had gone smoothly for me, again customer focused and striving for improvement - gets my recommendation.

I recently started using a ground floor unit at Shurgard Fareham and I couldn’t be happier. The entire process is incredibly smooth thanks to their super intuitive app...so easy to use!

The unit itself is clean, secure, and easily accessible, which makes moving items in and out a breeze. But what really sets Shurgard apart is the staff. They are absolutely superb, including Carmen, who was super helpful: she was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it’s answering questions or offering assistance, the team across their network were excellent.

I would highly recommend Shurgard to anyone looking for storage with top-notch customer service!

Smooth process, helpful and friendly staff.

Very easy to set up, all done online. Very clear email explaining we can get to our locker and get the lock we’d paid for, even if the office itself was closed.
We did have an issue with our access code not working initially, but one call to the number instructed and this was resolved within minutes - and the guy was lovely!
Initially couldn’t find our specific locker and was walking up and down stairs.. but we found a second lift and easily found our locker after that.

Carmen is amazing always friendly and helpful.

So easy to navigate the online hiring process. Slightly panicked when we didn't receive email giving us access code but one quick phone call and the lovely man explained the app usage and we were all sorted. Access via app is so easy. Unit itself is lovely and clean, plenty of trollies available. Longer opening and access times are perfect as work full time on shifts so access during outside normal working hours is a must. Value wise, can't go wrong with 1st month being £1 plus insurance.

Complete incompetence - one minute I have storage, contract is complete, photo ID accepted (in person!), shown my storage unit, to only learn 2 days later, said storage has been cancelled!!! WTF!! :(

Carmen on reception in Fareham was really helpful and explained how to use the facility really well. It is clean and tidy and plenty of room for parking and plenty of trolleys too. Lift good and working and the size storage we chose was spot on but, as Carmen explained, we could easily change to a bigger one. All in all a success and also affordable. The app also works really well to gain access.

Found the experience of renting a unit very straight forward.
The staff at the Fareham depot are efficient, polite and a pleasure to deal with.
