I spoke first with a member of staff at the storage unit. He was very informative and guided me through the rental application process and the app. He also showed me a couple of different sized units so that I could judge which one I needed and assured me that if I discovered that I needed a bigger or smaller unit, that I would be able to switch easily. Downloading the app was very straightforward. On the first day of rental, I spoke again with the same member of staff who finalised what I needed on the app and showed me how to use it. In a nutshell, access to the building and the lifts can only be gained through the app or a member of staff. The app’s very easy to use. It has your storage unit number, so if you press the wrong floor number in the lift, it won’t move! Having checked out all the storage units in the area, Shurgard is by far the most technically advanced in its security. You would think that this would lead to higher pricing, but I found them to be the most competitively priced. Very impressed with the whole shebang.

Went to unload today, during opening hours, and there is a sign on the door saying ‘Staff away from office, will be back soon’.

All doors padlocked, cant unload anything into our storage unit, after travelling here to unload a car full of furniture.

The guy finally turned up after waiting, and we’ve been told that they no longer open the large shutter doors, so we now need to take everything in and up through a small door.

Now considering moving to a different company before we fill the unit fully.

Chelsea and Luke are very helpful at guiding me through the process of getting around the storage and usage of their App. The storage facility is clean, airy and well lit. Their website provides detailed info on how to choose the suitable size of unit, and I picked my unit based on that which turned out to be perfect. Highly recommend.

This is the first time that i have used a storage service and truthfully i was attracted by the £1 offer fr the first month. I am glad to have this opportunity to give a review because the manager on site, if that is his title because I didn't get his name, is absolutely fantastic and a huge credit to your company. He made the whole experience simple and extremely pleasant. His customer service skills are second to none and what an extremely personable man, I was impressed. I hope you pass my thanks on to him but as I said, unfortunately I didn't get his name. All I know is he is a slim guy with glasses, possibly in his forties. Outstanding and many thanks.
