We purchased blinds for our kitchen in October 2024 when we moved into our new house, we was told their would be a 3 month wait for them to be manufactured which was no issue.

During the process we wasn’t updated once with the progress of our order and we had to chase Shuttercraft for an update.

We was then told our blinds were ready and we would have them fitted on the 31st of January. My Wife had worked 9 days straight and booked annual leave to be available on the 31st for fitting. The night before I sent an email asking them to contact her when the fitters were on the way or an estimated time they might arrive.

11am on the 31st and still no response back, my wife then had to chase them for any update and was promised a call back- several times this happened though out the day, Then at 12 I receive an email that due to “unforeseen circumstances” they would not be fitting our blinds.

We was offered in the same email fitting availability for the weekend and I confirmed that was fine within an hour.

I never received any confirmation or response back for fitting at the weekend and waisted my time waiting for Shuttercraft to get in touch.

I don’t know what sort of company thinks they can waste people’s time to this extent.

To our disgust we haven’t received any form of communication since friday 31st.

We have spent the best part of £2000 on our blinds and have been made to feel completely forgotten about and robbed of our money.

Disappointed asked for a quote over 2 weeks ago for a large gable shaped window, gentleman came out took the measurements Told me the 12 week lead time and won’t be able to give a quote until he gets back to the office and uploads the measurements in to the computer and then commented (it won’t be cheap and in a hurry to leave ) i did not make much of it until we had no quote or call back chased the office then head office who assured a call and quote back.

I don’t understand the comment and no reply because how expensive would one shutter for a main feature of the house gable window be £2-4K ??? When the window alone cost around £8k… would not know as we never got a price.

He could clearly see we just move back in to our house after a totally demolished house has been rebuilt spent a fortune the total house rebuild one shutter blind would not have broke the bank.

Maybe he did not like my colour or was concerned about my bank balance, absolutely waste of time company and branch. Don’t bother …..

I had 4 shutters installed in September 2020 and two were faulty. I reported this to Shuttercraft Lichfield two days later and replacement parts were ordered. I am still chasing them for repairs one and a half years later! I am essentially being ignored by the Lichfield branch, so have spoken to the head office twice. I was assured that this has been escalated to management, but I have heard nothing since speaking to them in January! The service Shuttercraft provide is terrible and I would definitely not recommend them! I have now referred this to the financial ombudsman service!

I do not recommend this company at all!

Shuttercraft Lichfield: Amazing service, I’m so pleased with my shutters, Mark was fantastic in advising and right up to fit, Jack who installed them was also brilliant, absolutely love them, that much we are going to order for the rest of the house, beautiful!

Brilliant service from beginning to end. Two bay windows plus one other, installed in a day with minimal disruption and Covid aware. Delighted with the results.
