I came to Sing By Numbers, looking for a way to enhance my ability by training my ear. What Honey and this community has given me is far beyond what I expected. While I’m not where I want to be, I am working on getting there and Sing By Numbers is definitely the roadmap that I’m using on my journey! Thanks Honey, for all your encouragement and support!!

So far I am really enjoying this experience! It is challenging and educational! I am loving it!

Sing by Numbers is a VERY well structured system that gives me access to the modules at any time and also gifts me the privilege to have twice per month video chats with Honey and the fellow students! It is affordable, comprehensive and is a VERY supportive community thats been forged through hard work and deep love for music and community by Honey Larochelle. Its staggering what shes taken the time to create! I always start my SBN sessions with the breathing exercises and singer straw module (please keep going back there, its SUCH a gift to have these exercises at your fingertips!) The lengths Honey traveled to climb into the highest highs of her range while filming these "sing along" scales and exercises is BRILLIANT and what every singer needs to hone their skill and deftly lock in their harmony parts, all while warming up their instrument! This course will re-wire your brain and your musical ear. I can't recommend this course enough!

When I started the Sing By Numbers journey, I was part of a small group that got a sneak peek at the curriculum. Honestly, I went into it thinking I would be at the top of the class. Then we had our first Numba Labs session and I quickly realized I was surrounded by incredible singers, fast learners, and people with amazing ears. Instead of learning alongside them, I started comparing myself to them.

I told myself stories like: “I’m a slow learner,” “I should already know this,” and “I hate making mistakes in front of people.” During games like Number Scramble, I felt like I was just throwing numbers into the air and hoping they landed correctly. My ego was getting in the way of the learning process.

But as the course went on, something shifted. I realized this isn’t a class to compete in — it’s a skill to develop. There’s no deadline on growth. Once I stopped comparing myself and started showing up where I was at, everything changed. Now I practice intentionally, even if it’s only 10 minutes at a time, and I focus on learning each step instead of rushing ahead.

Honey Larochelle is not only an incredible singer, but an incredible coach. She created a space where I could grow, struggle, learn, and keep going. The last time we played Number Scramble, I slowed down, counted through the scale intentionally, and finally got it. And the more I trusted the process, the quicker it started coming to me.

More than anything, Sing By Numbers taught me to get out of my own way. I’m so grateful for this course because I’m learning a skill I’ll carry with me forever.
