Simon was able to see my teenage son within 24hrs of contacting him regarding an appointment for his minor eye condition service. His examination was thorough, informative and reassuring and the problem was resolved quickly. Simon and his staff offer a professional and convenient service within the village which saves time and the aggravation of having to drive further afield to an eye clinic.

This is a review for Simon Klyne, whom I saw at Frinton a few days ago. He looked at my eye, told me what was wrong with it. Inflammation, and that the lens and iris were stuck together and he got me an appointment at the eye clinic at Colchester Primary care servises. And has kept in touch with me asking how my appointments went and how my eye is, which is very caring.

I had a problem with my eye and needed a same day appointment. I was seen by Mr Kleyn who was extremely thorough and explained exactly what was was wrong and sorted it for me. What an excellent experience. I have a new Optician now.

Entropion - bottom lid turned in. Spotted by Mr Kleyn and referred to eye clinic. Receptionists tracked lost referral form and passed to clinic. Several appointments later a successful operation. Concern & follow up at this optician excellent. Regular eye tests cover complete eye survey, clear information given about any problems.

Myself being a dental professional working with highly magnified loupes/vision- I was overly impressed with Simon's in-depth analysis, diagnoses and recommendations.

After attending a regular eye check up yesterday, I received a thorough assessment of the condition of my eyes which I felt had deteriorated somewhat during lockdown.
Simon explained the detailed photographs to me and very swiftly referred me to the specialist eye clinic.
I was called two hours later and attended an appointment where I was treated with laser retinopexy that same afternoon. I’m so glad I went to be checked. Many thanks Simon and his excellent service. Thoroughly recommended.

Simon saw that I had not been seen by the eye clinic for two years and he noticed that my eye pressures were higher than he would like. He did an urgent referral to both Colchester and copied in Southend Hospital. It had the desired effect and I had an appointment offered from both establishments.

Simon Kleyn has been my optician for many years and I have always been completely happy with his care. He referred me for cataract surgery 18 months ago and I was very satisfied with. Recently one of my eyes became blurry, a secondary cataract apparently that required laser surgery . He referred me to a clinic the day he saw me, and they phoned me the same day with an appointment for the next day! In less that 24 hours my vision was restored. I cannot recommend Simon highly enough for his care!

Defiantly recommend this friendly very knowledgeable practice, have all the high tech equipment needed for detecting problems, after getting a second opinion here after visiting spec savers was given invaluable advice and service which could have turned out a lot worse if it wasn’t for the quick and efficient actions of this opticians!

it was so easy to get an appointment to fit in with my availability and everything was explained so clearly.

I was passed on to Simon via my local doctor as my eye was turning extremely red very quickly, after speaking to Simon he quickly reassured me that I had fractured a blood vessel but not be alarmed as my medication caused the bleeding ( blood thinner) and within two days the problem had gone…..panic over. I contacted Simon Kleyn, Earls Colne as I didn't know who else to turn to with sore eyes and redness. Within 2 hours I was seen and expertly looked after. It was amazing! Excellent service and attention and covered by the NHS, which was an added bonus.

I cannot recommend this opticians highly enough. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, appointments are readily available and Simon Kleyn is a very thorough optician who has seen me through laser treatment for pressure in the eyes, a cataract operation and most recently he advised me on managing dry eye treatment.

Friendly and excellent service. Simon explained the procedure he was carrying out step by step giving reassurance. He was very thorough. I would definitely return to see him and would recommend to my friends and family.
