Superb customer service and great product
Naomi was amazing. She took us through the whole process, answered all of our (many) questions with patience and kindness and couldn't have been more helpful. The blind is perfect and we couldn't be happier with it. I highly recommend both the company and the product.

Great place for quality roof light blinds
Really pleased that I spotted this company on the internet. They’ve been first class from start to finish and the 2m x 3m roof lantern blind works a treat. Even the fitting was straightforward for two of us in around an hour or so. I used some nails which I fitted around two sides of the opening to rest the blind on whilst fitting and it worked a treat. Well done Skylight Blinds Direct and particularly Naomi who works hard and is lightening quick to answer any questions

So pleased you discovered us online and that everything has gone brilliantly. A 2m x 3m blind is no small job, so getting it fitted in about an hour between two of you is impressive.
That's a brilliant tip about the nails for support during installation - really practical thinking! I might have to add that to our guidance notes.

Honeycomb roof lantern/ alexa success
hi, my honeycomb roof-lantern blind controlled by Alexa was easy to assemble from the documentation and videos. The staff assisted me in the ordering process as the site for the blind was non-standard and did not have a recess. A great success and the blackout function was perfect

Hi Roger! This is absolutely brilliant to read - thanks! I love that you've got the full smart home setup working with Alexa. Being able to just say "Alexa, close the blinds" must feel pretty cool.
It's great that our team could help navigate that non-standard fitting situation. Those projects without a proper recess can be tricky, but it sounds like we found the perfect solution for you.

Big blind
This blind was 5mtrs long so it was a challenge to start with I put the side guides on first then took them off and assembled the blind .it took three of us to hold it up not because it was heavy more to do with the length. It is a great blind and I have no problem recommending the company and itself product

Blind has never worked properly and now completely broken
Blind has never worked properly. Ordered a large lantern roof blind with electrical operation. Worked twice then stopped working. Paid for blind fitter to check it. Motor burnt out. Replacement sent. Paid engineer to fit and check it. Fitted wouldn’t work. Engineer said motor not powerful enough. He disconnected the motor so I could operate manually.. emailed blinds direct waste of time. Came home a couple of weeks ago blind has collapsed out of track and hanging loose. Engineer came to check it and he said blind is too wide for the pleating so it has sagged and fallen out of the track. Emailed blinds direct to reject the blind and refund…still waiting for a response.

Buying self install blinds made easy …
All we needed know about which blinds to select was explained clearly especially to my wife who has light sensitive eyes.The blinds were easy to install and fitted perfectly.

Excellent communication and quality blinds
I ordered 3 velux window blinds for my property. I was really impressed with the quality and they were so easy to install.
The blinds arrived within 4 days of placing my order. I did notice that 1 blind had been damaged prior to being packaged up. I contacted the company to report this. Naomi responded the same day and arranged for a replacement to be sent out hassle free.
I would definitely recommend this company.

Effective but flies get trapped inside
We purchased a large white anti glare thermal honeycomb remotely controlled blind for our garden room roof window. The fitting was relatively easy. Bit fiddly when you have such a large blind to handle, the instructions are simple. Once up we liked how it looked and love how efficient the honeycomb design is for keeping the heat out during the summer months. We haven’t tested for keeping the heat in during the winter months yet.
What we have found is due to the design of the honeycomb the flies have no problem crawling in under it and then annoyingly crawling inside the actual blind. They then get stuck and we have been recommended that the only way to remove them is we to take the blind completely down and try to ‘tweezer them out’! This will be extremely difficult due to the size and flimsiness of the material. As we chose white we can now see lots of flies lying inside which I really dislike. I would suggest choosing a darker colour to avoid this. This is a huge disappointment for us

Easey to fit look great and woirks like a dream
The measuement were sent it fitted first time. It was for skylight on my barge. It looks and works great. I wish I upgraded now to a sola and motor one just for the fun and the ease.

Lantern Roof Motorised Blind
I have been searching for a blind for my skylight for sometime. It is a large opening and I couldn’t find what I needed until I found skylight blinds direct.
The product was custom made came within the timescales quoted. It was well packaged and came undamaged.
The video fitting instructions were really helpful during the fitting process, as was the troubleshooting help!
The blind fits in the space perfectly and is well engineered, the honeycomb blind material is excellent at keeping the heat we have been experiencing out and we are completely chuffed with it.
In summary this is a well made blind that is as described and I feel the process is extremely competitive.

Super effective and easy to fit.
I bought and fitted a manual honeycomb blind for our roof lantern. It has proved to be super effective in reducing the solar radiation and hence the temperature in the room. It was very easy to install, it fitted perfectly and I didn't even have to tension the blind as this had already been done in the factory. I had a few queries prior to purchase and the agents I spoke to were both helpful and knowledgeable. The blind was promptly delivered in about 3 weeks. I would definitely buy from Skylight Blinds-direct again should I have the need, and would thoroughly recommend them to others.

Amazing service and Quality
From start to finish the customer service was excellent. The blind arrived well packaged and perfect. Videos were very helpful and when I needed support during installation the team were there at the weekend to offer advice and support. The product is quality and it is a joy to watch it in operation. Poor unable to get on the phone to discuss and order
This company makes it very difficult to order. Phone numbers don't work, trying to simply call, discuss and order 2 large lantern blinds. The obsession these days for companies to get your phone number and details on record so they can hound you for years to come. With 3 providers im considering this one has lost this sale. This also presents an issue for any after sale support so as a result will be ordering elsewhere and hopefully this makes people think about it.

Our phone system uses a voice service as the first point of contact, but there are always real humans behind it. If you leave a message or send us a text, we always respond promptly – often the same day, including weekends.
We pride ourselves on offering excellent pre- and post-sale support, and we go out of our way to help, especially with larger, more bespoke orders like lantern roof blinds. It’s a shame we didn’t get the opportunity to assist you properly.
Of course, you’re entitled to share your experience, but as no order was placed and key details weren’t accurate, we feel this review isn’t a fair reflection of the service we provide.

Superb units
What an absolute dream these blinds were to install. Company offered fantastic support during pre order stage and helped us pick the perfect solution for our skylights. Fitting was soo simple and as a smaller unit, was a one person job.

Pricey but well worth the money, they were custom made after all, we got the manual honey comb blind for our roof lantern in the outhouse. Very easy to assemble and install. Highly recomend 👍✌️
