Wow. Out comes the email to say they’ve listed the preorders for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. These items are not even out yet.

Slab city comics are wanting to charge double on these items. Sad to see another store jumping into selling for far inflated prices before items are even out just because they can.

For example. Etb selling for £99.95, rrp is half that.

Shocking behaviour

I wish I could give a rating lower than 1 star. Ordered several comics to off set postage cost. They cancelled a third of my order, I asked to cancel the entire order. They ignored me and proceeded as they liked. Avoid, highly unprofessional and disgusting communication. Do not use this company, I wish I had checked the reviews before ordering. They are terrible.

Emailed them for a price on comics to sell to them, received a quick and polite reply asking for photos, but no reply after I sent the photos. I assume that means they didn't want them, but a 'No thanks' reply would've been nice so I wasn't waiting for a response.

Really helpful and quick to respond. I needed my order quickly and they did their best to help.

Sold a bunch of old trades. Matt was efficient and helpful and the transaction went off without any issues.

This review is regarding preorders. Having preordered a CGC comic book due for an estimated release 3 months later I expected to receive the comic within 6 months taking into account any delays. 2 years later and I still haven’t received the book, a refund (which their website said they’d do if they’re unable to fulfil an order) or any kind of contact and explanation. They wilfully ignore any and all emails, which happens to be the only way to contact them.
Their customer service is not just poor it’s nonexistent.
Be very wary when preordering from Slab City Comics.
Ordering in stock items seems to be ok but I no longer shop here.

Customer service seems to be nonexistent. Still awaiting a reply to my email as my order hasn’t arrived. I won’t be using again.

Right from the start the communication was poor.

Then I get the email saying my order had been shipped. After a long delay I email, and email and the finally I get someone who tells me they're closed for a holiday weekend but they'll look into it.

I'm told they printed all the shipping labels the same day but maybe a few are still sitting around.

The following Monday. No response. I email again. Oh here you go, here's your tracking number. Number show it was sent that weekend, not two weeks ago. Order was just sitting around with how many others.

Avoid this place

I collect Slab City exclusive cover comics because the artwork is superb, the condition is always NM and the service is excellent. A gem among UK sellers.

Sold some Sonic comics and the whole transaction went smoothly. Great communication too. Recommended if you want to part with your collection(s).

I ordered a comic in May 2023. They have not sent it, they did not give me a refund, and they will not respond to my emails. This, in my opinion, is a company that appears to have no problem stealing from customers.

I placed a pre order when I first started collecting comics 2 years ago. I chased up the order twice without any response. I then sent an email requesting a refund & they replied saying don’t buy from us again. I’ve just discovered they’ve blocked me on Facebook, so I’m back after 2 years to be just as petty and leave this review. There are lots of better retailers out there that aren’t disrespectful to their customers. Avoid at all costs.

I bought some comics at the end of May didn’t receive anything for 3 weeks so I emailed Slab City Comics about it politely and still now months later have heard nothing and received nothing. This review is simply about my online experience as I have nothing against the people of this company since I believe I bought from them at London Comic Con and they were really lovely people and that’s how I found out about this website.

Awful experience. Have left me with an outstanding order since February 2022!!! I have sent literally dozens of emails without a response. Dreadful, ignorant service. Customers beware they will treat you appallingly. Avoid at all costs, there are better sellers out there.

Pre-ordered Star Wars books in March of 2022 and paid immediately. After not receiving a shipping notice or update in late fall of 2022, I reached out via email. No response. In early 2023 did receive a response that the pre-order 9.8 Mandalorian #1 was met with delays. In March I was asked to provide my PayPal so that a refund could be sent for $166 USD. It is now April 14th and no refund, no response. I guess when you are an ocean away you don't have to worry about an unsatisfied customer. Sadly, I would expect better from a business owner. Cheers

Never reply to emails and they owe m £49 avoid get sick of this company be nice to when I will get refund

Have not received goods paid for several months ago and zero reply to emails. STAY CLEAR

Do not expect any kind of support if they screw up your order. They sent my order to a completely different state and I was told that tracking was incorrect and to wait. When I followed up 3 weeks later Matt refused to give me a refund. Also their contact email info-slabcitycomics.com is useless. 3 emails and no response. They did not offer an exchange or anything to mend the problem. I was told to dispute it through my credit card company. Order your comics from a reputable shop like Forbidden Planet London Megastore where they treat customers proper. Slab does not care about customers.

Wasn't happy with the mystery box I ordered

Had been looking for this item for a while and when saw it on this sight and price seemed quite reasonable I just had to buy it. Will definitely use this sight again, came well packaged and in great condition. Money well spent.
