Sloan barely deserves one star
Sloan barely deserves one star, but since two of the CSRs I've talked to were very nice and helpful, they get one and only one.
They've been frustrating me with their lack of communication and action since I first applied for IDR recertification in May, when my documents failed to upload correctly to the site. I didn't think to check to make sure it was there because the site isn't clear at all on where that would be (on the same upload documents page, you have to click an arrow next to previously submitted documents to see them). So I was technically, according to them, late when I realized what had happened and uploaded everything again on July 11. I got on the phone right afterwards and got completely different instructions on recertifying (the only thing anyone should ever do is go to the FSA website), promptly took all of the steps, then the emails started coming with, again, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT INSTRUCTIONS on my income certification letter, which I had to send back to my boss to sign twice. Once I got that final bit of paperwork done, I called to confirm they could see all of my documents and it was moving on to review. This was on August 25th, and it is now October 5th and I can't even reach them on the phone to ask what they need from me now because it's Sunday. The temporary forbearance is almost over and I'm no closer to being recertified than I was back in April before I got the paperwork together that failed to upload properly. What's more, I am disabled and barely employed, living off of my retirement at 45 because I can't work. And you can't even reach a chatbot or send an email to Sloan, you have to call like it's 1980. And after each of my calls, it's like nothing happened. Now I'm panicking in addition to fuming.
It will be an interesting phone call tomorrow morning.
