After purchasing a smonet security camera system i found out it was the biggest mistake I made. While viewing the cameras seem to stop briefly making the viewing Jerky, if someone walks by they appear on one side of screen then they are at the far side of screen totally irradic tried customer service with no help this was the second purchase of a smonet system(MY MISTAKE) please don't waste your money go a different brand date of experience has been ongoing since the purchase of the first system which a replacement NVR BOX REPLACEMENT

They worked good until I needed to add a camera to my system. It can hold 8. I had 4 and wanted to add 1. I tried to add wireless and it didnt work. I plugged it in and installed. Seemed like it worked but then I looked at the system and only my alley cam was working. 3 cameras gone and the new one is not on the list. Contacted customer service and they are not available. 30 min so far and no response. Gona rip them out and buy a system from a good company. It says that it is 2.4 internet good and 5g bad but I have 5g and they were working good. Was pretty cheap. Wasted money on new cam. Avoid this one.

Support is lackluster. They will not honor gift replacements and they're products just generally are not made to last. Stay away from Smonet.

Two (2) SMONET locks developed the same problem w/ striker position sensor, causing striker to not retract or extend properly. Customer service is very difficult to reach and when you do, the manufacturer will not honor written warranty terms. STAY AWAY FROM FAULTY SMONET PRODUCTS!!

Took only about 20 minutes to replace a previous electronic lock with this the Smonet smart lock.  Easy Bluetooth set up for finger print, PIN, and remote fob.  Instruction manual was easy to follow.  I had a brief question and they returned my call promptly.  Elaine later reached out via text to make sure all my questions had been answered…. Including that the lock will notify admin if the batteries need replacing.  Love the fingerprint reader and it is more compact than a previous smart lock.  Absolutely would recycle this smart lock and would buy this again!

I wish I had one when my kids were young instead of them losing so many keys.
It comes with 2 fobs, 2 keys, and you can program your finger print or a code.  Grandkids will have a fingerprint. Absent minded husband who always loses  keys has a code.
Device runs off 4 AA batteries so no worries about power outage.
I'm going to buy more for the garage and backdoor.

I am staying on the 3rd floor and it is very inconvenient to go down and open the main door lock when someone visits me.  After seeing the reviews on Amazon, I purchased the SMONET fingerprint Deadbolt.  The fingerprint feature works great and all other features work fine, including those mentioned here.  However, the remote unlock/lock feature needed to be fixed.  I contacted the support through WhatsApp and talked to Helen.  She sent me the gateway and walked me through step-by-step guidance.  She did not leave until I could connect the remote unlock/lock feature successfully.

We are very pleased with how easy the installation and user guide is simple. Took my husband about 20 minutes to install. Once we did that we put the batteries and downloaded the app. We were able to assign a passcode and do our fingerprint quickly. Very great product with the $$$. We have a set of 2 keys as backup.

I wanted one of these smart deadbolts after one of my friends showed me hers. I recently adopted a dog, and there have been times that I would’ve liked someone to stop over and let her out. But unfortunately people didn’t have the key to get in. The system makes it easy to give people access to get in via pin or fingerprint.
It was easy to install and looks very nice. I did have one question and reached out to customer service and was really happy with how fast they got back to me and answered my question.
I would definitely consider installing this on another door and am recommending it to friends and family!

I have been using SMONET locks for a while now. I purchased this one for my client who just recently moved into her new house. I wanted to get my client a great product that would modernize the back door entrance. The finger print scanners work GREAT! Once you figure out the right touch you will hardly ever use the code to enter the home.
Having the option of a key, or the little card is great for different options of entering the home. However, I would not use them. If I had younger kids that would be what I give them.
I will continue to purchase these locks!!

We have two of these locks. One of them quit working and the company sent out a new one right away, and then followed up to make sure it arrived and was working. April in customer service was very helpful. The locks are so convenient.

I was thinking for a while to update my Airbnb's with what lock but not convinced. After couple of issues with my lock box I decided to buy one! After long research I choose the Simonet and I was impressed. The installation was smooth and easy, little adjusting here and there but 30 minutes was on the door. Clear instruction of how to set it up on line and here it goes. Choices of custom password fingerprints or remote control lock/unlock. Customer service is 10/10 very helpful and really quick to answer. After buying the Gateway G2 for remote control the Smart lock I have to call customer service and it solve my confusion really quick and easy. After installing first one I went ahead and ordered 2 more and the Gateway.

First off, this works great. We are able to lock and unlock our door without a key. We can use a fingerprint, code or included RF card or keys. We can also add short time codes for people helping us out around the house.

The finish almost perfectly matched my current hardware. I love the simple look. The lock movement is smooth but I don't use the key much. The app interface to set up codes is simple to use. The price is great for the quality.

Installation was easy, but I misread the instructions. It was clear to put the turning bar horizontal but I installed it vertical. The door would only lock with the key. I called the customer service number on the phone. It asked me to leave a message and they called me back within 10 minutes. This was preferable to sitting on hold. They were able to diagnose it and send me pictures on how to fix it almost immediately and it was completed in less than 10 minutes. Great customer support!

I would buy this product again and would buy from this company again if I need products they make.

First of all when I installed the locke, it was an easy install, and it worked with my phone, with a four digit code or with my thumb/finger print. It went really good until just recently and then I had an issue with it not opening all the time. So I called Customer Service and April got on top of it for me and has a new unit already shipping out to me.  I was amazed at how quick the response was and how easy it was to get an another unit. If more companies had customer service like this, it would make all the products in the USA better. I definitely would recommend this Locke to anybody that wants to have an easy access to their house.

One of my recent clients required an electronic locking system with remote access, monitoring, keypad entry and a standard physical key solution. Based on so many favorable reviews I decided to give Smonet a try. I was quite impressed with the packaging, detailed pictorial instructions, and mounting hardware provided. After installing the Smart Lock in place of an old mechanical deadbolt, I had a number of questions while I waited for the gateway to arrive. I reached out to the manufacturer through their contact us link. Within 24 hours one of their tech support agents, Helen, reached out to me through WhatsApp. She introduced herself and offer to answer any of my questions. From our text exchange she took the time to walk me through the process of establishing a passcode, and explain various options. Awaiting the gateway and additional ecards I asked how one links them up to the Smart Lock. Helen took the time to demonstrate each function by creating a short video of her walking through it on her own smartphone and then sending it to me through WhatsApp. The printed instructions are very good but the short videos with live demonstration were extremely helpful. I have now successfully incorporated the gateway so they customer can monitor each entry remotely. Also programmed five e-cards for the staff each under their respective names.  The app is well designed and easy to follow. And the Smart Lock confirms each successful addition with voice response.  I am thoroughly impressed with the product design and it's many features to the point that I will install a complete Y1 system in my own house so I can be more proficient on it with future clients. I am most impressed with the timely, courteous, and extensive customer support I have received from Helen overseas. To me, timely customer tactical support is most important with product quality, design, and cost a close second. I will highly recommend this product line to all my current and future clients. My wife and I have feel in love with this lock and the capabilities that it has. When we first started researching which smart lock we wanted for our bedroom, this one was the first choice after reading the reviews. This lock, complimented with a good gateway, will ensure that you have the ability to lock and unlock your door from anywhere you have cell phone reception. It as has the ability for you to use the key option, fingerprint option, code option and digital card option! WOW, I know right lol! It is literally a 4 to 5 minute installation that any adult can do! The app that it uses is also so user friendly that my 7n and 9 year old are able to use it!

The only recommendation that we would give you is if you get this invest in 8 AA "RECHARGEABLE" batteries. In the picture we have regular ones that we are going to use until they die and then we will be using the rechargeable ones. That was the only thing we could say is a downside, but it really isn't because we figured if we have 8 rechargeable ones that we will always have a way to keep it charged. It also has an option to charge it with a USB! If you are looking for a lock that looks amazing and is easy to use then this is your best bet!

I had purchased a Bluetooth/wireless keypad lock from them via Amazon. It worked for a few months before I had issues. It completely died less than a year from purchase. I’ve contacted customer support and they responded about send the order number and a video. I replied for an answer on 3 occasions over a 2 month period and never heard a response from them.
This is not a way to run a company. I would avoid them and their company. Use a brand name and not Amazon because it’s quick.

We just purchased a Smonet camera system. If I can give you one piece of advice it would be AVOID anything to do with Smonet. Their customer service phone number DOESN'T work and getting a hold of ANYONE is non-existent. AVOID this company at ALL cost. If we could give them a ZERO star we would. We are sending this garbage back to Amazon and will purchase a system from a reputable company.

Horrible customer service. Got a deadbolt that was missing screws and have been trying to work with customer service (if you can call it that) for 2 months to send the screws, a new lock or issue a refund. I swear they are intentionally incompetent because I’ve never worked with people that can’t answer simple questions.

Smonet NVR buy anything else!! I have a smonet NVR system installed several years ago. Shut it down to move it. Tried password that was set up when I installed it. Password now does not work, locked out of system. No response from Smonet in obtaining factory reset password per instructions in manual and on website. Another company fleecing their customers.
