An update to my last review on here which was very negative about this company regarding the non refund for the SACD I returned. Alex or Scott Nangle keep saying they have refunded me when they haven't, the latest email two days ago was "Have just refunded you" and there is still no sign of it. This person Alex/Scott or whatever he calls himself is just playing games imo and obviously has no intention of refunding me or a lot of others from what I read in other reviews here. I have only written the one previous review on here about them but to cap it all when I checked it yesterday someone has written a glowing review using my name saying 'what a good company they are with excellent service and I would use them again etc etc'. .. I wonder who that could be? I don't think we need 3 guesses. Someone like Trading Standards should take this cheating company off the internet and off Facebook where they are also conning people.

Straight forward shopping experience for me.
Ordered a replacement cartridge for my turntable. An email query was responded to almost immediately and the order shipped the next day.

So, I’ve learned that my negative experience with this company was in fact a very lucky near miss!!

I placed an order via their slightly obscure website for a second headshell for my Denon DP300F turntable. This part is the PCL-310 and is available in either Black or Silver - I had ordered the black to correspond with my TT.

I receive an oddly formed email from Scott a short time later that said:

“Many thanks for the order #####
1/ Silver - in stock
2/ Black - 6/8 weeks from china
advise to proceed & will email a invoice
rgds
sn”

I advised that I still wanted the Black and got this back…

“no problem will cancel
spares for chinese decks are special order / non stock due to shocking quality
uk / europe ./ japan only in stock
rgds
scott”

I naturally enquired as to why this was the case, given that the parts are advertised for sale on the site and was treated to this reply:

“black - non stock ( made in china for a $1 ) terrible quality
NO chinese turntable spares are stocked ( special order items only )
100s of non chinese headshells in stock if required
rgds
scott”

So, overall I tried to order an item that they were advertising for sale and then when I ordered it essentially berated me for ordering it… Very, Very odd!! Nowhere on the website does it say that it’s a crime to order the Black headshell nor was that evident in his first reply! Even stranger was he sent me a very long list of headshells as alternatives that included the one I had tried to order…

All I can say is avoid this charlatan at all costs. I’m very glad I’ve not parted with any money and can now contribute to trying to help people avoid the ridiculous services that this guy is offering!! Please, shop elsewhere!!

I am still waiting for a £185 order 2 months after ordering it.
I have tried emailing them 4 times now and no reply.
The number on their website is disconnected.
They take your money and don't send the order.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS OUTFIT !!!

Like others here I’ve had a bad experience. Very quick to invoice and then silence followed by excuses (all very similar to ones others have listed), curt responses and demands of 10% then magically 25% restocking fee for a refund. Told him I’d deal with trading standards, he said he’d sent the refund. He didn’t. Trading standards informed. Plus chargeback from credit card. Avoid

I've been asking for a refund given it's been a month and my goods haven't arrived. Haven't heard anything back so am now looking at reporting to Trading Standards and may have to make a small courts claim. Avoid!

I’ve twice placed orders with this bam. First time I waited 6 months only to be told the release was delayed.
So me being an idiot placed an order a year or so later. Once again I waited and waited. I repeatedly asked for my order to be cancelled. Then I got an email out of the blue saying the item had been posted. I asked why and like all previous emails was ignored. Please do not trust this seller. I’m roughly guessing the date. And the reason I’m bothering writing here is I’ve suddenly had an email from Scott Nangle advertising his new release items.

I have had a similar experience to others. I ordered a stylus before Christmas on their website. Heard nothing, contacted the company in New Year and they said they didn't have the order. I sent through their confirmation and was told they don't stock that item but could offer an alternative. My brother (who the order was for) phoned to discuss and was told they were too busy to take orders over the phone - even though we had ordered on line. After several more weeks we gave up and was offered a refund. I provided bank details and received no further communication from them for another 6 weeks, despite me sending further emails. I have now finally received my refund, three months after placing the original order. I am pleased that they finally returned money, but this organisation needs to provide a better service or they will lose customers.

PLEASE DON’T PURCHASE FROM THIS TERRIBLE DEALER.
Firstly, I ordered from SNVinyl last year and was perfectly happy. So I didn’t think of looking at reviews. I wish I did. I ordered again and a couple of weeks later, the wrong record arrived. I emailed him (Scott or Alex) and he apologised and said “return the record and they’ll send the correct one.” No mention of paying postage for their mistake. This is where the problems began. It’s like they just dropped me. As the weeks went by, I sent many emails asking where my record was, they just ignored me. I even managed to speak to Scott on the phone who made up some random excuse, but still nothing. They still refuse to refund me despite threatening Trading Standards (whom I have contacted). So six weeks later, they still have my money and record. I have never experienced such poor service. How does this company still trade? I’m hoping my complaint will be actioned by Trading Standards. These clowns need to be shut down before they steal other people’s money. They are scammers that occasionally send the goods. You have been warned. It’s a lucky dip.

I read the terrible reviews a few yrs ago and risked an order for records/sacds. For a whole year things went well, i got my orders all within a few days. The communication remained non existent but i had no reason to enquire. I was... happy!
Then an order didnt come. 1 week became 2 weeks. That then become a month. The phone number/call was impossible as others had noted. The emails i got back were sporadic and between 1 and 5 words long. Eventually the order came. I hoped it was a one off. I order 3 or 4 more times. Excuses of working 24/7 inc all day and night started coming. Then it was my fault for ordering and spending too much. I was sticking to items all "In stock". Long story short.... all subsequent orders had to be an RBS chargeback after months of trying to get my discs and failing. I gave him every chance and all the time to resolve. The guy would sooner just get a chargeback than simply cancel and refund you. Its the worst customer service and experience in my 41 years of living, BAR NONE. If the other reviews dont put you off hopefully this one will. In the UK our choices are small. Athough SNvinyl wishes they were, we just dont have a true equivalent of Acoustic Sounds or The In Groove in USA where the product prices are lower, shipping is quicker and orders actually arrive in far better time and state. I would sooner support a fellow Brit but any other seller does this far better even if sometimes one has to pay a little import duty, its worth it!

I made a recent purchase of a vinyl record from Scott Nangle SNVINYL. I couldn’t be happier and I’m glad I ignored the terrible reviews he gets on here. The record arrived three days after purchase. It was extremely well packaged and in perfect condition. Regards from Andy Dunn Oxford UK

This guy should be shut down. Paid for an item 27th november. Still no sign of it 21st dec. No replies to emails. No sugn of a refund. Total crook. Avoid at all costs.

As with all the others here, placed a purchase. Received an order acknowledgement but then nothing. Wrote and got an acknowledgement that they didn't have the items in stock, asked for my bank details for the refund (not sure why needed as it was a credit card purchase) and then nothing. Maybe a scam to try to get my bank details? Have chased and no reply. Will be chasing with my bank to get this refunded.

I purchased a few albums from this bogus dealer, l had to go to CAB and threaten him with Court action to get my refund on my damaged albums, it took 9mth for my first damaged album then nearly a year for my other £140.00 Anolouge Production album and again threatening him with court. He won't return emails and is always busy and can't get back to no staff that says it all to me and l believe Alex is the same person or brother, he hopes you give in and keeps your money. Trade and Standards are very interested in him and his do called business now lm hoping he gets closed down again like his last business. I strongly suggest you don't uses this dealer absolutely rubbish and lm being polite. I got in touch with Anolouge Production about imy experience with SNvinyl they said he was talking absolutely rubbish any dealer who return a damaged album gets a replaced free of charge asap depending on the stock anywhere in the world. Pathetic dealer stay clear or loose your money.

I ordered (24/11/2022), an Ortofon D20FL Super Elliptical Stylus for Cartridge (M20FL Super), advertised for sale on the Scott Nagel website for £112.97, but what I actually received was an Ortofon D20E Super, with a hand written note saying the D20FL out of stock. The replacement item is sold for £29.97, but a refund for the difference of £83.00 was not forthcoming, even a year later. I strongly urge folk not to use this highly dubious firm...

Orderd an atp5 mm cartridge sn told me not a stock item 2/4 wks wait after 8 wks still never contacted me what a messer and according to Goverment house he was dissolved in 2017 so be aware

To me scott nangle audio is a specialist hi fi dealer. He sourced me a hard to get jico n91ed sas stylus for a shure m91ed cart for a decent price,£250 ,and its an upgrade, ok i had to wait for a month due to it being imported

Do not fall for the positive ratings. They are fabricated and full of lies. Do not trust or trade with SN Vinyl as you will be scammed. This is supported by the fact that Scott/Alex Nangle does not bother to defend himself on here or any other platform as he has no defence.

I recently bought a vinyl record from Scott (The Cars MFSL 1-274) and I need to say I could not be happier with the purchase. Initially I was almost put off by the "review bombing" here but I decided to give this guy a try anyway. I can only say that he is very responsive and friendly and showed the utmost flexibility and professionalism with me. I also asked him to dispatch the item quickly within a few days and - surely enough - the order (that I placed on the 20th) arrived today, just six days after. Quick delivery, good prices, a treasure trove of other records on the website, still in my wish list, that I will buy very soon.
I cannot speak for other people who had a bad experience with Scott, but I can guarantee you that my experience couldn't have been better so far!
So my advice would be, don't trust 100% of the things you read, some might even be competitors trying to damage his rep, I know something about it as I am an online seller myself. Peace out and take care.
