I know that the Solar Quotes (SQ) / Finn Peacock in these environmrnts for many years and they are every where you search. I did went through SQ for quotes but despite "Lisa's" help I failed to get quotes from some of the providers I have chosen. However, due to the Feds Apr 26, deadline I had to go with a provider and so far it seems they are the most transparent & honest provider. I placed the deposit and hoping to get everything smoothly.
I hope FC's SQ either select companies with reputations of Transparent & details quotes or allocate it's own ratings to provide help to the customers.
Many of the customers with nontechnical background would not have a qlue that additional electrical works (hidden away from quote but under contract clause) might costs them 3-4 thousands dollars.

What a great company to deal with. They really helped me navigate my way through all the nonsense. Very prompt responses which helped. Now awaiting installation by one of their recommended providers!

This company recommends dodgy installers. I have a solar system installed by one of their top ranked installers. the Electrical Safety Office inspected the installation and issued compliance notices. The installer stole my inverter, damaged brickwork and left holes in the building structure as well the wiring defects and safety issues. Be aware Solar Quotes does not care about the issues and will support their anointed installers no matter what to their commercial advantage.

I have an old offgrid solar system with generator backup which was pretty niche. Unfortunately the providers that solar quotes put me in touch with weren't really able to help on my situation, I am not sure if it was also just because the whole market is crazy at the moment and people are just focusing on easy run of the mill things which are probably better margin. They did help evaluate a quote I got and gave me some confidence it was OK, one of the issues is there are lots of too good to be true battery ads out there at the moment which sets the wrong expectation on price. The supplier I went with was a previous supplier that SolarQuotes suggested for a solar panel replacement two years ago who I had a good experience with. The new supplier also mentioned that the Solax inverter review on SolarQuotes is a bit out of date and their product is much better now and support is also very good, I can't verify this but would be good to follow up on.

I think if you after a run of the mill installation then SolarQuotes would be really helpful. The website is really helpful too to get an idea of systems, reviews etc...

I was able to assess the pros and cons of the various solar batteries on the market so I was prepared to have an informed discussion with solar companies, particularly when what they wanted to sell me may not have been exactly what I needed.

I was contacted within 1 business day by 2 contractors, and chose the one who was willing to spend nearly 45 minutes answering all my questions without any sales pressure.

Very easy to use. Once we provided a few details about what we were looking for we were sent a list of vetted tradesmen who then contracted us within a day or two to arrange an appointment to meet with us in person.

Solar quotes referred us to three reputable companies to organise instalation of a solar battery and other possible efforts to move away from gas and reduce our bills.
Only one of the businesses actually made a site visit. One was a zoom meeting and we visited the third. Wew thought all would have made a site visit. Solar Quotes did follow up to make sure we got three quotes and they have provided other infromation.

One stood out as it personally came out to my home and chatted about the various options.

Only two out of three companies contacted me. One told me my home was not suitable for solar despite not coming to look at it (relying only on satellite pictures), one told me he could only fit 7 panels. I found my own company who actually came out, assessed the roof properly and came up with an excellent solar solution.
