I have had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a live class and pre-recorded class, both were wonderful! As a newbie to the wine world, SommSchool helped me to learn the basics of tasting wine. While also following along on Instagram, I have grown so much in my knowledge of wine and how to truly taste the wine. I cannot recommend SommSchool enough. Whether you’re a newbie like me or a more experienced wine person, you will surely enjoy and learn in each class. Enjoy! 🍷

Time with Kellie is always a joy -- we've attended public classes, curated private classes with our family, DECANTED sessions, and top of the list are the wine trips! Kellie makes tasting wine and learning the culture of each region fun as well as educational. Having been on two trips -- Bordeaux and Douro Valley Portugal - Kellie is the best at creating an experience like none other. Her knowledge and wine world connections combined with attention to every detail makes these trips unforgettable. We can't wait for the trip to France in 2025!

Possibly it's that I was intimidated by not being knowledgable enough to "talk" wine, or maybe it's my love for brown alcohol (specifically Scotch)! My world changed when I joined Kellie's group in Portugal for a week exploring the Douro Valley's offerings. Her knowledge and communication style works tremendously well with both the experienced wine lover AND the novice! I truly enjoyed the experience and knowledge gained . . . I can proudly and confidently wear my "wine drinker" title now!

I encourage anyone with the skeptical spouse to give one of SommSchool's programs, or better yet, journeys, a try!

Kellie has been a great help in boosting my wine knowledge! I’ve taken a few classes with her, including Mastering Food and Wine Pairings and Business Dinner Wine Confidence. Her wine knowledge is expansive and delivered in a fun and informative way. I will definitely be back to continue learning about wine from SommSchool!

My husband and I found Kellie through our cooking club, where she was a guest speaker and taught her wine pairing class. We had so much fun we immediately signed up to be notified when Tuscany trip tickets went live. Since then we have traveled to Tuscany, joined many classes, and her membership Decanted. We just got back from our second trip with Kellie in Portugal and we are looking forward to our third. Kellie's trips are magical, filled with excellent wines, wine education, winery tours, food, community and more. We cannot recommend Somm School and Kellie enough. Come join us!

This was my third trip with Kellie and this one was as much fun or more than the others. The amount of work Kellie puts into these trips is what makes them top notch. It’s the little things. My favorite being the cooking class with our “dreamy “ chef. Also meeting first hand some of the top wine makers. Kelli knows her stuff, which is why these trips take your wine education to another level. I’m looking forward to many more

We highly recommend Kellie and SommSchool to everyone without hesitation. It takes a special gift to communicate her encyclopedic knowledge in such an approachable and enjoyable way regardless whether you are new to wine or have enjoyed it for decades. We take away something from each of the private wine classes that makes us more confident and informed in the selection of future bottles. We just returned from her wine trip to Portugal. If you have the opportunity to join her on a future trip, you will be blown away by the amount of preparation, quality of the whole experience, and the level of access to wineries and activities you would otherwise not be able to have at any price. Run, don't walk to the next SommSchool event with Kellie!

As a newbie to wine and port, my husband and I were truly educated while on the most epic tour of wine in the Douro Valley! One simply would not get this level of access, care and accommodations any where else, and we had a fabulous time with the other wine enthusiasts. She is a wealth of knowledge and just a great person. We will definitely connect with Kellie and Somm School again!

Kellie is an incredible communicator and takes complicated wine topics and makes them incredibly approachable. As always, the classes are top notch, the Decanted program is a phenomenal series with great topics and guests and has evolved into a close knit family or wine loving characters from across the country, and who can forget the amazing wine trips? We just returned from Portugal with Kellie for our second trip overseas with SommSchool and couldn’t ever do it justice in a written review. I wholeheartedly endorse Kellie for private or public classes, her Decanted series, her curation service, and the amazing trips.

Kellie is the best! Her classes are not only fun and the people are great, but I’ve learned so much that often, I impress my server or the staff at the wine store. The best part is, after a few years of her classes, I can walk into any liquor store or look at any menu and know I’m not only going to pick something I (and the people with me) like, it’s also not going to break the bank!

I was introduced to SommSchool from a friend. I am so glad that I finally signed up for a class! Kellie makes approaching wine tasting comfortable and fun. I’ve now done two classes. I love that she encourages you to form a relationship with your local wine store. I’d always imagined wine tastings to be a task of ordering specific wines online. I love that her classes are for everyone!

I have now taken 2 classes with Kellie ("How to Drink for a Fraction of the Cost" &"Deep Dive into Burgundy") and absolutely loved them both! In both classes I feel like I learned so much about wine and it's left me wanting to learn more! Tasting wine together with a group is also interesting because others taste things that I couldn't always quite pinpoint. I look forward to taking many more classes in the future! Highly recommend SommSchool!

Kellie is a phenomenal wine educator. She thoroughly explains regions, wine making, and tips and tricks in a fun, relaxed, non-stuffy manner. I enjoy having open discussions with the other participants and applying our new found knowledge to the wines we taste during class. It’s a real treasure to connect with other wine lovers, many of whom are regulars.

SommSchool always hosts interesting and diverse classes that fit a wide array of tastes and interests. I’m always eager to see what the future “curriculum” entails. I’ve learned so much about wine and feel a deeper appreciation, especially for wines I never thought I’d enjoy.

Oh! And if you have the opportunity to travel with Kellie on a wine retreat abroad, DO IT! You won’t regret it!

Kellie Martin and SommSchool elevated the Estes Park Wine & Chocolate Festival with their exceptional expertise and engaging activities. Kellie, a talented sommelier, orchestrated an entertaining game of "Cabs and Clones" that captivated our participants. The atmosphere was lively, with live giveaways adding to the excitement.

Guests truly enjoyed the experience of blindly tasting wines and attempting to discern between Cabs and Clones, all while enjoying the festive ambiance. Kellie's enthusiasm and knowledge shone through, making the event not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable.

Overall, Kellie Martin and SommSchool brought a unique and memorable dimension to our festival, leaving participants with lasting impressions and a newfound appreciation for wine. We couldn't have asked for a better addition to our event, and we look forward to future collaborations with Kellie and SommSchool. Kellie is the best. I’ve taken her “Your Confident Foundation” course and am a Decanted member. Every SommSchool class has been super entertaining, super educational, and made me ENJOY my wine experience so much more! All of Kellie’s content is excellent down to the postcards she sends, and her emails. I 100% can recommend that you will enjoy any product you get from SommSchool! At the very least sign up for the mailing list, I’ve gotten so many great tips from those alone!

I’ve had the absolute best experience with Kellie at SommSchool! I’ve taken 3 classes and want to take many more! I’ve brought more friends with me each time and they’ve all raved just as much as me about Kellie. She is extremely knowledgeable about wine and she works hard to help you learn during her classes. She is friendly and makes everyone feel included! Can’t wait to learn more from Kellie!

I took a wine and chocolate tasting class with Kellie! She is a great wine teacher. She is very informative and fun! The wines were wonderful and I discovered a new chocolate (ruby chocolate). Amazing!

This evening was not only so pleasant but also fascinating and informative. We learned so much about Prosecco while enjoying its delightful qualities, and while it was a Zoom session, it felt like we were in a party together. The 90 minutes flew by! Kellie Martin is so knowledgeable and presents in a fun, relaxed way that anyone would understand and learn from.

Kellie has a way to engage any level of wine drinker in her online classes. I took the "How to Drink for a Fraction of the Cost" class and it gave me lots of confidence to be able to communicate what kind of wine I am looking for at my local wine shop! I've always enjoyed wine, but now I feel like I am enjoying wine at a higher level, and discovering more wine that I love. Kellie is a very knowledgeable sommelier, yet she makes wine education fun and easy for any level of wine lover. I've also taken her "How to Taste Like a Pro" Master Class. I'm looking forward to more of her classes in the future!
