Order online, everything runs well. Delivery guys were nice and feel comfortable with them , thank u zulfi and sandeep 👍
Writing this because this company is run by morons. Left a home, canceled service, sent router back, confirmed received. New people moved in and can’t get service until end of billing cycle and it’s a pain to expedite cancelation whatever that is. Using scam methods by texting codes etc… Do not use Sonic.
Not as evil a ComCast or AT&T but they're moving in that direction:
- cost of service is going up regularly
- my $60 base service includes $10 for voice and is subjected to another $20/month in fees and taxes, part of them being rebated back to ISPs (ISPs lobby for those fees) - for a total of $80.
Service is fine, not really different from Comcast or AT&T. My area can only get their 1G service. They advertise 10G and that service is free from voice which these days can't be very popular. Either way, 10G is not an option. I spend time in the EU and Scandinavia and they get much better deals than we get but we're a captive market. We need more competition.
I recently called sonic support because my wifi felt like it was being incredibly slow (I usually get 230 Mbps based on where I am from my router), and while the call *did* help, the wait time was wild. I think it was almost 20 minutes? I don't remember entirely because it was a couple weeks ago but ~1/3 of the call was being on hold. It was one hour in length. While I don't blame the agent for that (wifi issues can take a long time) it would've been better if it took less time. Again, amazing ISP with good speeds, just lacking a little in the CS department
ich hatte mir für meinen Fernseher eine Soundbar von Sonic gekauft. Nach kurzem Gebrauch ging gar nichts mehr. Garantiefall also wurde diese im September 2024 eingeschickt. Im November wurde ich langsam ungehalten und bat den Händler bitte mal nachzufragen, wo meine Soundbar denn bliebe? Einen Tag später die Nachricht, sie sei abholbereit und repariert. Eine Autofahrt von 40 Min nur um diese im Technoland abzuholen. Zuhause angeschlossen und man höre und staune, nichts ging. Die Soundbar war nach drei monatiger Reparatur noch immer defekt. Qualität hat einen Namen sonic.
Also wieder eingeschickt und warten... das nächste Mal gehts zum Anwalt . Also verarschen kann ich mich alleine aber derartig schlampig...ne das geht ja gar nicht.
Great service, really no complaints. Price is fixed and not tied to a contract, just be aware that the $49/mo is actually $78/mo with all the fees (SF city).

40$ a month for 10,000 mbps Internet? How is this possible? They installed it within 4 business days from order.
I've been a Sonic customer for something like 15 years but finally switched. When I first got DSL with them, I would have given them an A rating, now, I'd put it more at a D+. Not only is the service overpriced, they doubled the "rent" on the required router modem while simultaneously lowering the throughput. What's more, I periodically have to reset the router and have to call in every 6 months or so to get them to reset my account on their end just so I can access the internet at all. Luckily for me, I finally found boardband that reliably services my house. I'm getting 5-10 times the bandwidth for about 3/4 the cost. What's more, the gateway router for the new service doesn't cost me a cent to rent.
