Much Better Labs Out There!
I used Sonora Quest for years. Was charged 1/23/26 for bloodwork the office in Casa Grande, AZ said Medicare "may not pay". They would not do any other bloodwork until that one was paid even if I asked them to take that one test off. Paid it then my doctor resubmitted another code to Sonora Quest on 2/3/26. 3/2/26 Sonora Quest said they submitted the new code to Medicare for the claim on 2/13/26. Medicare did not see the submission on their end. On 4/2/26 still no resubmission from Sonora Quest. I called SQ back. The gentleman said he saw where the code was in but not submitted to Medicare on 2/13/26 and said he would submit it and refund my initial payment that will take up to 30 days to see the refund. We will see if it gets done. This is exactly why I no longer use SQ. They keep the money and don't submit the new codes to Medicare? Most people would have given up but I won't. LabCorp never charges me upfront so that's who I use now.
Very difficult to use
All I want to do is drop off a sample. It is impossible to find a location through their website without providing a lot of personal information. What are they afraid of.
Fraud and dishonest group of liars
They are frauds and will up charge you, charges that should not be there AND they won’t correct their mistakes as they promise.
They agree to their “mistake” and assure you it will be done but NOWAY. We have2 issues which it falls into fraud and it has been going on for months and months of empty promises and denials.
Takes too long to get lab results
Scheduling apt was easy and efficient, office procedure was timely, phlebotomist was friendly accurate with blood draw. Processing of labs took way to long to get results for simple routine labs. Had to cancel my MD follow-up apt due to labs not being completed in a timely manner. I made several calls requesting to be expedited, with no success. I’ll probably get labs done at lab corp in the future. It’s where my MD told me to go in the first place, but I had an account with Sonora Quest and have been getting my labs done by them for years. Time for a change, for sure!

I'm not sure if this place really is incompetent or if they are scamming people!
If you are getting anything other than routine blood work, stay clear of this place! I was having some tests done that are not your run of the mill tests. The story goes like this...
I wait an hour past my appointment time (this should have been the first red flag). Once in the back, I notice it is taking the lab tech extra long to put my lab order in the computer. I ask if everything is ok, lab tech says "yea, having a little trouble with one of these tests, can't seem to find it" (second red flag). About a minute after I ask if everything is ok the lab tech leaves the room, comes back with another lady. They are both looking at computer, tech 1 say's I'm not sure which one to use (third red flag), 2nd tech say's I think it's that one (fourth red flag). The second tech leaves, not 2 seconds later a third tech comes in, and says that the second tech wants her to check and make sure it's the right code (fifth red flag). Finally, after an hour of waiting after my appointment and 20 minutes in the room trying to figure out what code is correct I finally get my blood drawn.
Fast forward a week and half. I hadn't seen anything come through my Insurance via my portal (I have had issues with Sonora not billing my Insurance in the past), so I called Sonora, and low/behold the rep tells me "Oh, your claim is on hold pending a letter from your doctor saying that this test was needed", say what?! The rep then proceeds to tell me that the test that was put in the system is not FDA approved! My mind is blown!!! Now I know why it was taking so long for the lab tech, instead of informing me that she could not find the correct code for that test she decided to find a code that closely matched the test I was suppose to get.
It's still too early to get a bill because they still have not billed my insurance. I am be proactive and letting people know. I am also filing a complaint with my insurance and the BBB. If needed I will escalate to the district attorney's office. I should not be on the hook for a lab test that is not FDA approved, I should have been informed, and given the option to opt out!

The Phlebotomist, Alma was very professional, courteous and Prompt. I was out within 10minutes.

Check before you service someone and bill them.
I did not know my doctor was not in their network. Instead of them telling me , they did the work and then billed me for seven hundred and something. They were wrong for that... If someone is not in their network and it shows up that it is not,they should let that person know that, instead of doing the service then billed them. That is money I do not have...just wrong I do not remember the exact date but it was in march or april of this year 2025

I am a very hard person to get blood work done. My veins will hidden I had some many people tell me no problem I can get you. They have failed. The only person who can is Avery He is the nicest guy I have ever met. If he ever let I am going to follow him. That is how much I trust him doing my blood down
Terrible service! They lost blood samples of a newborn twice
We did newborn tests for our son. They lost his blood samples not once but twice and we had to redo the blood tests two more times. They called us at 4:30 pm and said it was late to redo the test at their locations and we have to go to the emergency.
Terrible service!!!!!! Both happened in 2000 E Southern Ave location.

Go to different Sonora quest!
Appt time at 10:30 and arrived 15 minutes early. Checked in on kiosk and finally called to front desk at 11:05. I asked them how much longer and she said I'm the next one, called at 11:15. My point of the review is don't bother with an appt, go to another facility. I thought being right next store to Banner MD Anderson it would be well oiled machine with customer service and speed, not so.
