After almost a year and a half I can truly say my experience with Sophie has been incredible. I have seen very dramatic differences in my life since starting and have been able to overcome both my past and present problems, breaking things down one by one allowing me to view my situations and options as a whole. Sophie has been able to guid and help find my internal voice that's been able to give me the confidence in making the changes I felt were most important in my life. During the entire process I felt supported and understood and immediately felt comfortable and safe to open up what I wanted and needed too as on when I felt I was ready. Looking back it still amazes me the real progress I have been able to make.

As my first time visiting a counsellor, Sophie was great at putting me at ease and allowing me to explore what i needed to, to help me untangle my thoughts and worries, and over a number of weeks come up with a strategies and practical actions to help with some issues that had built up in my head, helping me to give myself 'permission' to do things differently.

I would highly recommend to anyone, especially if not been to a counsellor before. I appreciate I don't have previous experience to compare, but definitely worked for me.

I have been seeing Sophie for over 2 years and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. I know it’s sometimes not easy to ask for help but I am so glad I did. I was not in a very good place when I started seeing Sophie but with some hard work from me and a lot of help and support from Sophie my life has completely changed. I cannot thank her enough.

I found Sophie when I was in a very dark place. I find her to be very friendly, approachable and professional. She has helped me so much within the last 9 - 12 months and I am a totally different person now and back to being myself which is what its all about isn't it?! Calm, relaxed, not pushed or rushed.

In a time of my life when life, the world, and me in it was too much to bare, taking the first steps to reach out for help and not knowing who you are going to talk to is a very daunting prospect.

From the offset Sophie welcomed me into her home with a warm smile. Nothing was pushed or rushed, everything is in your time, everything spoken was listened to carefully and responded to sympathetically.

Sophie with he knowledge, experience and sympathetic ear has guided me from the the lowest you could possibly be to a person who is in control, strong, and as she would say ‘a place I deserve to be!’

Our 14 year old son worked with Sophie following an increase in anxiety levels and low self esteem. He was initially hesitant to speak with her but through her patient and flexible approach he quickly felt at ease. It really helped for him to feel there was someone he could talk to other than us his parents who wouldn't judge. It really helped us as parents when we felt we had tried everything, to feel we could trust Sophie to be a listening ear and took some of the pressure off. Sophie gave both our son and ourselves some practical tips to help manage his feelings and open up a dialogue to talk about things at home. In our sons words Sophie was 'welcoming and easy to talk to'. I am so happy to be sitting here writing that we have our son back! Thank you so much Sophie, we really appreciate all your effort.

A good friend was going through some terrible times and finding life was getting on top of her. She agreed to seeing Sophie but didn’t really think it would amount to much .... but after only a few months she now believes these sessions have changed her life! She now has coping mechanisms in place for when things go wrong and Sophie has helped her gain back self respect, perspective and the ability to look into the future with hope. I cannot rate Sophie highly enough, I was never a big believer in these kinds of things and could never see how talking could sort things out for you. I went to Sophie at a very low point in my life and came out a different person. Just through talking I have made massive decisions, taken my life into my own hands and now feel on top of the world, the best news is I will always have her number for the future. I could not recommend Sophie as a counsellor highly enough. She is extremely professional and makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. She allows you the time to talk, cry and laugh and I never felt judged. She maintains complete confidentiality. She helped me unravel my anxieties at my own pace and remembered so many things I had confided in her from one week to the next. She has given me the tools I need to live a more confident life and opened my eyes to many things that I hadn't realised were affecting me. I feel much stronger as a person as a result of the sessions with her. Even through lockdown we managed sessions over FaceTime, which I loved because I was in the comfort of my own home. My friend recommended her to me and I would recommend Sophie to anyone without hesitation.

I can one hundred percent recommend Sophie for counselling. I found working with her an extremely positive experience. I had lost my mum and also had a difficult breakup in a short space of time.
