I have deleted my previous review which I wrote following several attempts to gain my refund from an expensive villa booking which had to be cancelled. I have now received my booking refund of £1500 on an £8000 booking fee. I am grateful for this, and do understand it’s not easy to process refunds, but companies must stay in contact with customers otherwise we cannot be as understanding as you want us to be....

Thank you for having updated your review. We are pleased to know that you've received the refund. Due to the difficulties that the pandemic has brought onto the tourism industry, there have been some delays for which we are very sorry.
It is unfortunate that the time-frame of your cancellation didn't entitle you to the voucher, as it would have guaranteed a credit of the full amount for a future booking. However, we understand that sometimes a refund is the safest option, even though it requires the Villa's owner to be compensated for the cancellation thus deducting the amount from the original deposit.
All things considered, we are happy to have been able to honour all of our commitments and we sincerely hope that the market picks up again soon. We can't wait to be welcoming guests to our beautiful country once more.

Make sure your rental company is solvent
make sure you are dealing with a solvent company that honors its contract terms and returns deposits when a reservation is cancelled.
Do send any money whatsoever to a company that doesn’t do this

Sopranovillas provides an excellent service
Sopranovillas provided excellent service throughout. They helped us to find the perfect vacation home for what we needed, taking the time to listen to our preferences. The booking process was fluid and follow up documentation spot on. Their team is excellent. We have used many booking agents in Italy and across Europe, but we have been really impressed with Sopranovillas and will continue to use them.

If you want to spend a very good time near Selinunte, go to Charming Villa. A very nice house, well equiped, well decorated, with a wonderful garden and swimming-pool. We appreciate a lot the environment and the silent; Boris will be there to welcome you and to give you informations about visits and restaurants with a great kindness.

Great house
Great house - absolutely huge downstairs - we just used the apartment upstairs. Host was delightful and very helpful with restaurant suggestions, providing bikes and helping with a parking ticket. Would definitely book again. Lovely area with plenty to do and sea nearby.

Great place for a large family
Great place for a large family. Great views. The town is smaller and much less crowded then the other Coast towns. Very quaint.

" I have booked a beautiful Villa in Tuscany with SopranoVillas and everything was perfect. I stayed there with my family for 2 weeks and we had an amazing time. We had a private chef for a couple of nights and SopranoVillas' staff organized everything. The communication with the agency was always very easy (I'd like to thank Patricia in particular, she did an excellent job with her tips!). Also the on site manager was always ready to help us with anything during our stay. I look forward to my next holidays in Italy."

Thank you for taking the time to review us again.
However, I'd like to clarify that what you fail to mention here is that your "worst experience ever" is based on a lack of attention from your behalf regarding the particular property you have rented.
I'd like to remind you that we have addressed all of that issues you claim to have suffered during your stay in a very accurate manner.
We do take our customer's satisfaction very seriously, so I'd like to take a moment to explain to other customers what exactly were your complaints and address them properly once again:
1. "Lack of Wi-Fi in the Villa" - The Villa was never equipped with Wi-Fi, as clearly stated on our website.
2. "The Villa 'flooded' due to the rain" - The Villa did not flood. It was very unfortunate that the area you chose to spend your holidays went through a heavy rain period during the time of your stay. Indeed some water got in the house from the gap between the entrance door and the floor, but I'd hardly call that a flood.
3. "Drone flying over the property" - Although we do guarantee exclusive use of the entire property, I'd like you to understand that we have no control over its airspace.
4. "Construction nearby" - Again, we have no control over what neighbors decide to do in their property and cannot keep them from renewing their property or demand that they notify us prior to the construction. We can assure you, though, that the renovation took place during business hours only - as allowed by law.
Lastly, I'd like to point out that we have never deleted your first review. We, as users, have no power to insert, remove or alter any kind of review. The removal of your first review was done by TrustPilot itself, as it was not compatible with their guidelines.
I must say, therefore, that your choice to decrease the rating of your review due to the fact that the first one has been removed does not seem like fair way of evaluating your experience.
In any case we are at your disposal for any further clarifications.

The villa was amazing and so beautiful
The villa was amazing and so beautiful! The hosts were so helpful in arranging anything our group needed which included dinner reservations, a bike tour, transportation, in villa chef prepared dinners and yoga. We loved every second of our stay in Tuscany and would love to go back! I would highly recommend this villa for a large group like ours, it was simply breathtaking.

Everything we expected and more!
We had the most magical time in the Villa just outside Ostuni in Puglia. Everything was organised smoothly. Soprano Villas were extremely helpful, booking local amazing cooking classes and organising some of our activities throughout the area. The villa itself was an utter dream and I look forward to going back in the near future. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Poor communication for exclusive and expensive holidays. Maybe good intentions, but very messy and too many people not communicating with each other. Felt not taken very serious and was not sure this company was a fraude because of publishing wrong data on the website. Never felt certain with them.

Superb service from start to finish
Superb service from start to finish. Met in town and taken to Trulli we rented. Shown around and nothing was too much trouble. As for the Trulli ... wow just wow. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
